Chloa’s voice was just as loud as mine though and her face was bright red. She looked like she might combust at any second. Despite that, Chloe didn’t let my cheeks go. She was still cupping my cheeks gently with both of her hands.

We only stared at each other in silence for a while. I really didn’t know what to say. My mind was just blank and I could feel the heat rising to my face. After all, I had never experienced anything like this before. I never had a girl be this aggressive with me before!

And it seemed Chloe was just as inexperienced as I was. Even though she was usually so composed and confident, she looked so tense now. Her hands were trembling even and her golden eyes were wavering with anxiety. The tips of her fingertips were growing colder too. The moment I noticed all these signs, I couldn’t help but to chuckle. 

“Oi! Why are you laughing?!”

“Pfft… Hahaha….! Sorry, sorry, it’s just… You’re so different from how you usually act.”

“…What do you mean by that?”

“This is the first time I’ve ever seen you quivering like a small animal. Seeing this side of you actually calms my raging heart actually.”

“Ugh…! That’s it! I was a fool to expect anything! Go back to your room, you dense idiot! And just so you know, if you dare to come into my room again, I won’t show you any mer―”

She never finished her sentence because I had already pulled her into a hug. Startled, Chloe’s body stiffened and she tried to look up, but I held her even tighter, preventing her from moving. After all, my face was just as red as her. I didn’t want her to see my face yet.

“Say something.”

“Sorry, I can’t right now.”

“…You know…”

Noticing that I wasn’t trying to refuse her advancement, Chloe buried her face into my chest and mumbled. 

“You’re going to sleep with me, right?”

“…We-Well.. I guess?”

“No. Don’t be vague. Give me a clear answer. Although I look like this, but I’m already prepared to take your answer, you know?”

Judging from the situation, I definitely shouldn’t say no here. No, no. It wasn’t about the mood or the situation. I genuinely wanted to stay by Chloe’s side too. 

I tightened my hold around Chloe before answering.

Chloe slowly pulled away from my chest and glared at me with eyes full of spite. Lacking the confidence to meet her gaze, I instinctively turned my face away from her.

However, my decision actually made her even more upset. Puffing her cheeks out, Chloe once again cupped my face with both hands. She then suddenly pulled my face close, bringing our faces within inches of each other. We were so close that I could actually feel her breath against mine.

“Wai-?! Chloe?!”

I definitely didn’t expect this. Flustered, I tried to pull my face away, but Chloe’s grip was like a vise. She was holding my face firmly in place with her hands, not letting me move.

“Kai, you must be a virgin, huh?”

Deciding that it was time to unleash her complaint, Chloe continued to lecture me despite the blush adorning her cheeks. But… Her words passed through one ear to another. Our lips parted and Chloe finally took a deep breath. Her face was still flushed all the way to her ears. Her lips continued to tremble. Her golden eyes were still wavering, but now her face was filled with anticipation for more rather than anxiety. She looked up, giving me an upturned eyes.

This time, Chloe pressed her body tight against mine as she uttered that outrageous wish. However, I no longer had any rationality left to refuse. I held her back and pressed my lips against hers once more.

The sound of Chloe’s breaths and the sound of our kisses rang clearly in this quiet room. Our bodies were pressed tightly against each other.
