I Got Reincarnated as the Scummy Dude Who Sends NTR Video Letters to Otaku Guys in Erotic Manga, But When I Tried to Steal His Girlfriend, I Accidentally Hooked Up with Her Twin Sister Instead - Chapter 7
Chapter 7: Aftermath
In the end, I ended up holding back all the way till the finish.
When I woke up, I was on Yui’s bed. Outside, the sun had already come up completely, and the only sound was the cheerful chirping of sparrows going “chun-chun.”
Even with the light slipping in through the curtains and hitting me, I was hit hard with this feeling like everything had been completely drained out of me.
“Ugh…”
There was seriously nothing left in me anymore.
My dignity, my pride as a scummy dude, my pride as a guy—everything got taken by her.
I glanced over that way. Yui was sleeping soundly, still just in her underwear.
Yesterday had been so intense that I’d totally forgotten, but seeing her like this while she’s asleep, she really just looks like a normal girl her age.
“Wait, isn’t she super cute though?”
Just her sleeping face was enough to make my heart pound like crazy.
Honestly, she was a hundred times cuter than Otaku-kun’s girlfriend. Once again I thought, man, I’m so glad she’s Futaba Yui.
Still, I never would’ve guessed she was the twin little sister. And apparently she’s in my class too.
I mean, yeah, I’d noticed there was this one girl who never showed up to school, but I never thought it was twin sisters.
I just figured it was a coincidence they had the same last name.
Otaku-kun and them never acted like they even had a little sister, and back in first year they were in a different class anyway.
Our grade has fifteen classes, so I seriously had no clue about people in other classes.
So that’s how I ended up finding out in the most unexpected way that she’s my classmate, but honestly? I was stupidly happy about it.
‘Cause now I can see her face in the classroom too, right? That’s the best.
“Nedori…-kun? Good morning.”
“Morning!”
While I was staring at her happy-looking sleeping face and thinking about all that, she finally opened her eyes.
“Yesterday turned into a night I’ll never forget, huh.”
“Y-yeah.”
“I was really, really happy. Like, I could die right now and have zero regrets.”
“Whoa whoa whoa, hold up—you’ve gotta have some regrets! You’re totally gonna have lingering attachments!”
Her eyes suddenly went pitch black, so I panicked and stopped her real quick.
She’s got this negative streak or something. Her thoughts tend to head in dangerous directions maybe. Let’s keep it bright and positive!

Once we pulled ourselves together and got dressed, we sat facing each other again.
The second-day uniform looked kinda dirty, but there wasn’t any other clothes in my size, so no choice.
By the way, Yui was in pajamas. Looked like she had zero plans to leave the house.
More importantly though—those pajamas suited her way too well. What am I even supposed to do about that?
“Huh?”
“What’s wrong? You’ve been staring at my face.”
“I was just thinking those pajamas look really good on you.”
“…R-really?”
When I answered honestly, her whole face turned bright red and she looked down. Yesterday she was so bold, but today she’s shockingly shy.
Seeing her get all embarrassed made me start feeling embarrassed too.
“So, uh… about us going forward.”
After a bit of silence took over, I scratched the back of my head and finally spoke up.
“If you’re okay with it, I’d really like to go out with you. I mean going out like, as a couple, boyfriend-girlfriend.”
I made sure to say it clearly so there wouldn’t be any weird misunderstandings.
“I…”
“Of course I’m not expecting an answer right this second. Take your time. I just really wanted to tell you how I feel right now.”
Honestly I could’ve just let things stay vague and casual, but that felt kinda dishonest.
We started off in the absolute worst way—me mistaking her for Futaba Aoi—but I couldn’t keep going with some unclear relationship.
Plus…
Suddenly the memories from yesterday flashed back.
—If I don’t take responsibility after something like that, I’m not a man.
“I…”
She seemed to be struggling with her words.
That’s fair. It’s normal not to decide right away. We literally just met.
“If it’s hard to put into words, you can tell me later.”
“I’m sorry. Is it okay if it takes a little longer?”
“Of course.”
When I answered with a smile, Yui put her hand on her chest. Then she looked up at me with those jewel-like eyes and said,
“Honestly… I don’t really recommend it.”
“Huh?”
“I’m probably—no, definitely heavy. I’m the type who gets super obsessed with one thing. Unlike my big sister who can handle anything smoothly, I suck at a lot of stuff, and I’m sure I’ll end up troubling you, Nedori-kun. Plus I’m bad at controlling my emotions. I’m just full of weaknesses.”
Yui didn’t sound confident at all. She seemed like a completely different person from last night.
That’s probably because she has both sides to her.
She can be super intense and bold, but she can also turn timid and lose all confidence.
They seem like opposites at first glance, but that’s just how people are.
Nobody’s perfectly consistent. Having lots of different sides is actually more fun, right?
Even though I’m a scummy dude but I’m also a huge grades-obsessed nerd—total gap, yeah?
“It’s fine. I don’t mind if you’re heavy. I’ve got plenty of my own weaknesses too.”
“Are you really sure? I’m heavy, y’know?”
“Whether someone’s heavy or light is up to the person receiving it. It’s not something to worry about.”
It depends on personality and compatibility anyway.
It’s the same with university entrance exams. Some super tough schools end up being a perfect fit for certain people and they get in. The opposite happens too.
“Okay… If you’re really fine with someone like me…”
She nodded, then slowly held both hands out to me. And as she bowed her head a little, she said,
“I’m not much, but… please take care of me for a long, long time.”
“Yeah.”
“Please take care of me for a long, long time.”
“Got it!”
“For a long, long time.”
“Yeah!”
“For a long, long, long, long time, please.”
“Isn’t that a bit too long?”
“There’s no such thing as too long when it comes to relationships.”
“Yeah, fair point.”
She actually had a good point.
Human relationships can be surprisingly fragile. The longer you can keep them going, the better.
“Alright!!”
Now that I’d confirmed how Yui felt, I slowly took her outstretched hands and looked straight into her eyes.
Then, with a grin, I said,
“Take care of me for a long, long time!”
And just like that, we started going out.
My first girlfriend, including my previous life.
The way we met might’ve been the absolute worst, but from here on out we’re walking together. Thinking about it made me stupidly happy.
Honestly I used to think this world was some ridiculous eromanga bullshit, but meeting Yui made me forgive it.
Why I came to this world, all the questions I had—none of it matters anymore.
From now on I’m gonna live with Yui.
That’s the only thing that matters.
I’m sure our future’s gonna be smooth sailing.
Because I’m fulfilled right now.
Things are gonna go perfectly because I’m so happy. Gotta be that way, right.
…That’s what I thought back then.

This guy is such an optimistic little golden retriever. It’s amusing, if a little simple-minded.
