I Got Dumped by My Childhood Friend Fiancée Who I Didn’t Even Like, I Thought I Could Finally Have a Peaceful School Life… But Then I Got Targeted by SS-Class Beautiful Young Ladies - Chapter 3
Chapter 3: [Abnormal Situation] Surrounded by Three Heiresses from Mega-Wealthy Families
When my vision finally came back and colors returned, I was sitting on a chair in some room I didn’t recognize. Pretty sure it’s still somewhere in the academy, but… the vibe feels totally off.
The handcuffs are still on, so I can’t move at all.
I slowly look around to try and figure out what’s going on, and at the edge of my sight I spot three girls panting hard—Zee zee—like they just ran a marathon.
One’s Rei Minase-senpai, who I was just talking to. The other two are—
“…Tachibana… and Shiramine.”
The famous family names just slipped out of my mouth—the names of two of the four biggest conglomerates.
I have no clue why these prestigious young ladies are out of breath, but when I actually take in what I’m seeing, it finally clicks.
Wait… am I seriously… getting dragged into something insanely troublesome right now…?
Even if I realize that, I can’t escape—hell, I can’t even stand up in this state.
While I’m desperately racking my brain for some way out, the brown-haired girl speaks up first.
“Haa… haa… Never thought carryin’ just one boy would tire me out this much…”
She grumbles in that thick Kyoto dialect I’m not used to—Azusa Shiramine.
Of course, she’s one of the most talked-about students here, super popular with the guys.
Her light brown eyes match her hair, which hangs long with soft, loose waves.
A little mole sits right under her eye, now shiny with sweat as she keeps talking.
“Seriously… didn’t we kinda not need to carry him ourselves…?”
It makes zero sense, but apparently these heiresses personally kidnapped me and hauled me all the way here. They must’ve climbed the academy’s stupidly long stairs on the way— no wonder they’re gasping.
“Haa… haa… We decided from the start… we wouldn’t ask anyone else for help with club stuff…”
A soft but clear voice responds to Azusa’s words.
The one catching her breath and muttering that is the Tachibana heiress—Charlotte Luminord Tachibana.
Out of the three here, she draws eyes the most, hands down.
Reason’s simple: her looks are way too flashy.
Half-American, half-Japanese, Charlotte straight-up doesn’t look like your average Japanese person.
Natural blonde hair, bright blue eyes. Her super-long hair reaches down to her waist, tied back with a big white ribbon barrette.
Even without the “heiress of the country’s top conglomerate” title, these three have this insane presence that just grabs everyone’s attention by force.
All three of them together in one room… it’s almost suffocating.
…Okay, no, this isn’t the time to be calmly analyzing them.
This situation is messed up. Like, way too messed up.
A guy—me—kidnapped by some of the academy’s top beauties, handcuffed, and stuck in a chair.
Just describing it makes it obvious this isn’t gonna end well.
“…Um.”
I timidly open my mouth toward the three girls who are chatting like I’m not even there.
All three sets of eyes snap to me at once. My back straightens on reflex, and I force the words out.
“Can I… ask just one thing?”
“Ehh~? What what~?”
“…Please keep questions short.”
Rei-senpai’s super casual reaction clashes hard with Charlotte’s cool one. Feeling kinda overwhelmed, I keep going.
“Why… am I getting kidnapped by heiresses from conglomerates and handcuffed right now?”
Straight-from-the-heart, honest question.
I seriously have zero clue what I could’ve done to deserve this.
Rei-senpai answers first.
“Sorry sorry~! Kinda forceful, huh~!!”
“Kinda…? Feels more like one step away from actual crime…?”
The words just slip out at how wildly off her sense of normal is.
Azusa hears that and lets out a cute little giggle.
“…Hehe. One step away? Girl, this is straight-up crime already, ain’t it?”
Super casual confirmation. And she’s smiling while saying it.
I’m speechless at the total difference in morals here. Rei-senpai panics and waves her hands dramatically.
“N-no! Azucchi’s wording makes it sound bad!! It’s more like… um! Forced relocation without consent! …Something like that?”
“That’s generally called a crime, Senpai.”
I can’t help but retort at the ridiculous excuse.
She just flashes a big grin to dodge it.
“But look! Yoichi’s totally fine! No problems at all, right?”
“Yeah… for now, I’m still fine.”
“See!? We’re not planning anything awful or whatever!”
I meant that with heavy sarcasm, but it clearly didn’t land.
I swallow the words that almost came out—about how they’ve already done awful things. No point saying it; they won’t get it.
Charlotte, who’s been watching our back-and-forth, takes one deep breath, steps right in front of me on purpose, and quietly speaks.
“…Kirishima Yoichi-kun. I formally apologize for confusing you with such forceful methods.”
She bows her head with this firm, graceful motion.
I never expected a conglomerate heiress to bow to me, so I’m stunned for a second before managing to respond.
“…Why… is Tachibana-san… the one apologizing?”
No deep meaning behind it.
There are three accomplices—why’s she the only one bowing? I just didn’t get it.
Charlotte raises her head politely, thinks for a moment at my question.
Then, after a few seconds of silence, she slowly opens her mouth and drops a bombshell.
“Because I… asked the two of them to bring you here. Kirishima Yoichi-kun.”
“…Huh?”
I doubt my ears. Obviously.
We’ve never met. Our families barely have any connection.
The only reason a conglomerate heiress would target me has to be something bad.
I force my shaky breathing to calm down, carefully pick my words, and speak.
“Did I… um, did I do something?”
“Something… yeah. Well, kinda.”
Knew it. Somehow, without realizing, I must’ve pissed her off.
Or maybe Ryuki put her up to it? No way that guy has the pull to move conglomerate heiresses, though…
While my brain drowns in endless negative guesses, I finally manage to open my heavy mouth.
“Uh… sorry, but I seriously have no idea what this is about… Could you tell me what happened?”
I’m trying to keep my face calm, but the tiny shakes in my voice probably aren’t hidden at all.
Charlotte fixes those piercing blue eyes on me like she sees right through everything.
“You… made me interested in you.”
“…Hm?”
“So… personally, I’m interested in you…”
“…Huh?”
This time a really dumb sound actually escapes me.
Charlotte’s cheeks are a little pink for some reason, while the other two nod repeatedly with these weird “yep, makes sense” faces.
I’m the only one here who has zero grasp on what’s happening.
“Um… so in other words?”
I push for whatever comes next, since my brain’s still lagging behind.
But Charlotte just tilts her head all confused.
“In other words… what?”
“So like… you’re interested in me, but why kidnap me…?”
“Oh! That’s what you meant!”
She claps her hands once like it finally clicked.
Then she takes a quick breath and declares it loud and clear.
“Kirishima Yoichi-kun… I really want you to join our ‘Polishing Research Society’!!”
