Chapter 49: Harry Changing

“Ice Spear!!”

Harry shouted at the top of his lungs, summoning a massive ice spear and hurling it at me with all his might. 

“Concrete!”

I summoned thick concrete to block Harry’s attack. The strange sound of an ice spear colliding against a hard concrete reverberated throughout the arena. Theoretically alone, the concrete I summoned should be tougher but since the ice spear was infused by Harry’s magic, the ice spear of course wouldn’t get easily destroyed. 

“Darn it…”

Judging the situations, it seemed the concrete I summoned would get destroyed by Harry’s spear at this rate so I decided to quickly summon a weapon. 

“Minigun…”

Almost immediately, a machine gun with six barrels that could fire 7.62mm bullets appeared in front of me. I grabbed it and stepped away soundlessly from the concrete wall and glared at Harry.

“You commoner…. When did you…!!”

Without giving him any spare time to escape, I poured a lot of my magic power into the bullets and pulled the trigger. 

“-!! Ice Shield!!”

Sensing the impending danger to his life, Harry swiftly summoned an ice shield. Countless bullets at the rate of 4000 bullets per minute bombarded Harry’s shield relentlessly. 

Usually, I would modify the power of the bullets so my opponent wouldn’t get killed by it but in this match, I didn’t see any need to hold myself back. These bullets held the same power as the one used in my previous world. Moreover they were infused with my magic power, as could be seen by the blue glow the bullets emitted when I fired them. 

“Ugh-! This amount of destructive power… A mere commoner like him….”

Each bullet chipped the ice shield like plucking the feather of a bird. I didn’t have any intention to prolong this battle either. I planned on demonstrating an overwhelming force and make Harry submit under my feet. 

Whether Harry would surrender while he was still alive or die while maintaining his pride, none of it mattered to me. 

Harry’s thick ice shield diminished rapidly. Sensing the imminent danger once again, Harry quickly fled. 

I continued unleashing a barrage of bullets to Harry, not letting him escape. 

“Darn it!! Just what is that?! I’ve never seen that kind of weapon before…”

Harry barely managed to summon more ice shield all the while dodging my attack as he ran. 

Then, seemingly pushed to the brink, Harry shouted. 

“Heavy Ice!!”

Then, on top of me, a block of ice about 10 meters in size suddenly appeared and plummeted down to me at tremendous speed. 

He’s really not a Level 5 just for show. His combat style might be different from Elena-sama but he’s not weak.

I dismissed the minigun and muttered under my breath. 

“Drone.”

I jumped and at the same time, a drone appeared below me. I landed on the drone and flew through the sky, escaping the ice block. 

“What the heck is that?!”

“Is that some sort of magic tool?”

“But magic tool that can fly is so incredibly expensive!”

“No, I think that commoner summoned it?! That’s not a magic tool!”

The spectators were shocked to see my drone. 

Of course, Harry also had a similar reaction to the spectators. 

“…..”

While looking down at Harry, I said in a voice loud enough for him to hear. 

“It seems I’ve underestimated you.”

“What?!”

“I thought I could bring you down with my previous attack but instead, you came back at me with your fangs bared. You are really not a Level 5 just for show.”

“A mere commoner like you dare to judge me?!”

“Well, in that case… I better end this match soon.”

“You can never defeat me.”

“You seem quite confident, huh?”

“Ahahaha…! Of course! I’m stronger than you, after all!”

“So you really don’t have any intention to surrender?”

“Commoner, you’re getting too cocky. You are the one who should be begging for mercy!”

“Is that so? Then I suppose, I don’t need to hold back any longer.”

While looking down on Harry from atop the drone, I quietly muttered. 

“Multiple Rocket Launcher…”

Suddenly 20 multiple rocket launchers appeared in the sky, all of them pointed downward at Harry. 

Although the arena was quite spacious (almost the size of a roman colosseum), but now the 20 multiple rocket launchers were big enough to completely fill the arena, bringing fear that shouldn’t exist in this world to everyone in here. 

“What is that…”

“The previous weapon was enough to put Harry-sama on edge. This one will surely…”

“Thi-Thi-Thi-This is just a weapon summoned by a commoner! There’s nothing to fear!!”

“Ye-Ye-Yeah! He’s just a commoner anyway!”

Ignoring the noise from the crowd, I shouted at the top of my lung. 

“FIRE!!!”

With my voice as the signal, the multiple rocket launchers fired simultaneously. Each unit could fire 12 rockets and since I had summoned 20 units, that meant 240 rockets were fired simultaneously at Harry. 

“…Well, I guess this is it. You leave me with no choice, Commoner.”

Harry muttered and then, he summoned a thick block of ice in the sky. 

Another ice shield? But these rockets will easily break through your ice. 

However, contrary to my expectation, the area near Harry’s ice shield was bathed in a deep black light. 

I recognized this shade of deep black light. 

“Undead?!”

No, it can’t be. I must be mistaken. I hope that light is not what I think it is but….

Amidst the turbulence in my mind, 240 rockets exploded at the same time upon coming in contact with Harry’s shield. The force of the explosion was so massive that even the barrier surrounding the arena received considerable damage. I looked at Jeff-sama and Mia-sama. All of them looked exhausted. Even Luna-sama, who was in charge of supplying them with magic power, was left gasping for breath.. 

“Thi-This can’t be… Is that guy really a commoner?!”

“Aaaaah….”

“Oh….”

“That is… That is cheating…”

“Arghhhh!! I can’t see anything!!! Commoners are commoners after all!! A bunch of uncivilized savages that need to be ruled by us!!”

While everyone was still in deep shock, the swirling cloud of dust gradually dissipated, revealing the figure of Harry in the middle of it. 

There, Harry was bleeding profusely. 

“Arghh…. Ho-How come… Against that shitty commoner….  I have obtained enough power to become a Level 6… How come I….”

I was stunned. Everything had gone beyond my expectation. The rockets I launched should be powerful enough to obliterate Harry to the pulp and yet, he managed to survive. 

That deep black light from earlier must have something to do with this…. 

I thought to myself and rushed to Harry. He was lying on the ground, groaning. 

I summoned a pistol and aimed it at his head. 

“Are you using the power of undead, Harry?”

“”UNDEAD?!””

My win against Harry was already enough to shock them but the nobles became even more confused upon hearing the word ‘undead’.

I moved my finger ever so slightly to pull the trigger a little and then…

“I’ll never admit it… Never… Even if this kingdom falls… Even if the world comes to an end… Even if I die..”

Harry coughed out blood. He struggled to catch his breath before he continued on. 

“I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER ADMIT IT!!!”

This was the end.

There were plenty of people like Harry in this kingdom. Albeit my path ahead might be full of thorns, but I had good friends by my side to support me. 

“I will never admit it…”

“What?! He’s still alive?!”

Despite having a gaping hole in his head, Harry’s mouth was still moving. 

Then, his skin started to darken gradually. Deep black light leaking from the wound. 

This black light was definitely the same light I had seen during my encounter with Persephone. 

Of course, compared to Persephone’s power, this black light was just a mere inferior copy. However, there was no mistaking it. This aura resembled the one emitted by that crazy guy, Alan, and the founder of Genesis, Persephone. 

Eventually, Harry’s body turned completely black. He rose to his feet. 

While I was stuck in bewilderment, the voice of a young boy suddenly could be heard from above. 

“Harry de Percy… The sugarcane fields managed by the Percy Company…. The noble I killed and Harry de Percy… They are the same. They’re animals who abuse commoners and slaves alike… Trampling on us… Greedily sucking on our sweet nectar…”

A ragged-looking boy was floating in the air. Although his voice sounded eerie, but it seemed he was talking about Harry.
