Study Session

When Souji-kun finished his meal, he puts his hands together and says,

“Thank you for the food.”

Then he put his dishes on the tray.

“I’m sorry for eating so slowly.”

“Don’t worry about it. Take your time.”

Although Souji-kun said not to worry, I hurriedly finish my friend rice and put the dishes away on the tray.

“Umm…can we talk a bit more here.”

“Sure, is there something you want to talk about, Ami-san?”

“Well, it’s just that…I’ve been thinking about the other day I asked you to keep our living situation together a secret…”

“Yes?”

“It’s not like I don’t like Souji-kun or anything, it’s just that I’m afraid that if people find out I’m living with a boy, there will be all kinds of rumors…”

I feel a little bit better knowing that Souji-kun is not mad at me.

However, I still feel nervous talking to Souji-kun.

“Is there anything else you want to talk about. Ami-san?”

“Ah! Um…can I come back here sometimes…?”

“Yeah, of course. But there isn’t anything here, you know?”

“Ah, it’s not that I want to play here. Umm, you are really good at studying, Souji-kun, also you’re really kind and polite…that’s why…I want to talk more with you…”

“Umm, if Ami-san’s mother knows that Ami-san is there, I think you might get scolded.”

“In that case, I’ll make sure that I don’t get found out! I’ll come here when Mama is not around, or when she is taking a bath, or if it’s not too troublesome, maybe even at night when she’s asleep.”

“In that case…why don’t we just make up an acceptable reason for Ami-san to be here? Like saying we are doing homework or studying for an exam together?”

“Yeah! That’s right! Then, I’ll bring today’s homework right now!”

Saying so, I run out of Souji-kun’s room without even listening to Souji-kun’s response again.

When I return to Souji-kun’s room with my homework, I noticed that the tray full of dirty dishes is still there. So, I put the dishes away in the kitchen and return to his room, this time I brought some snacks and juice for the both of us.

We seat across facing each other and take out our homework.

Souji-kun already finished his homework, so he is doing another set of exercise problem.

I notice that Souji-kun drinks the juice that I brought, but he seems reluctant to eat the snacks.
