While we are studying, me and Souji-kun talk about many things. I feel like I know Souji-kun better now.

In his previous middle school, Souji-kun was in the basketball club.

He was a regular player in the team, but after his mom fell ill, he got busy taking care of her and he lost his position as a regular player. Ultimately, he couldn’t even participate in the tournament final because of that.

He was also the top student in his grade at his previous school

However, it’s not like he enjoys studying or anything like that. There wasn’t anything much to do at home, and he hardly had any chances to play with friends. So studying was the only thing he had to do.

He was not in the student council at his previous school because he was not interested in it.

In fact, Souji-kun is not interested in the student council now either, but since he can’t participate in club activities due to financial issues, he’s trying to get some extra grades from the student council. He thought that he would try running in the election just to take a minor position if possible, even he was surprised that he came in first place in the election.

Most importantly, Souji-kun has never been in love before.

That is something that I really wanted to know and I somehow managed to get it out of him.

“Do you have a girlfriend from your old school?”

“No, I don’t have any girlfriend. In fact, I’ve never dated anyone before.”

“But you were very popular, weren’t you? In fact, you are also very popular now.”

“Not at all, I just happen to be the student council president. I have no money, I have zero fashion sense, and I can’t say anything interesting in a conversation. From a girl’s point of view, I’m just a boring and dull guy.”

“T-That’s not true! It’s really fun to chat with you, you know? You are not boring at all, Souji-kun.”

“Hmm. Is that so?”

“Yeah.”

“Rather than me, what about you, Ami-san?”

“Eh? Me?”

“Yeah.”

“Well…I’ve never been in a relationship with a boy before…”

“I see.”

“But…I’ve been confessed to a few times…”

“Uwaa, that’s impressive. That means you’re quite popular then.”

“No, I don’t think that I’m popular or anything like that…let’s stop talking about me!”

“Okay, I understand.”

When Souji-kun asked about me, I feel a bit happy inside, thinking ‘Is he interested in me!?” But when I said we should stop talking about me, he immediately backed off and stopped talking about it. It made me realize that he probably isn’t interested in me at all.

After that, we have a good time together talking about various things. I also ask him parts of the homework that I don’t understand.

Before I knew it, it’s evening already. Before Mama and Papa come back home, I cleaned up and went back to my room.

I left the table in Souji-kun’s room for him to use.

When I go back to my room, I take off my skirt, change back to my loungewear and calm myself down for a bit.

I feel like I’m a bit aggressive today.

I wouldn’t usually chat and study with a boy alone together. However, with Souji-kun I found myself talking a lot. I felt nervous yet excited.

I had been talking with Souji-kun formally the whole time, but occasionally my tone of voice relaxes.

Souji-kun seemed like he was having fun as well, he was smiling the whole time.

I have never felt this way before. I hope Souji-kun was actually having fun as well.

When I remembered Souji-kun’s smile, I feel warmth deep within my heart.

I’m once again realized that I really like Souji-kun.
