Chapter 42
“Mom, Dad, whose grave is this?”
My daughter, Yurika, asked so.
“This is Mom’s older sister’s grave.”
“Oh, I see. I wish I could have met her. Since Mom is beautiful, I sure she was beautiful too, right?”
“…yeah, she was beautiful.”
Setsuna replies with a smile on her face as if avoiding Yurika’s question.
“Well now that we’re done visiting the grave, let’s go home. Kaori-san is coming today, we should get back soon.”
“Yeah! I can’t wait to meet Grandma after so long!”
I take Yurika’s hand, she has a beaming smile on her face.
Setsuna takes Yurika’s other hand and the three of us start walking together.
It’s been quite some time since Setsuna and I started dating.
A lot has happened, but Setsuna and I continued our relationship without any major issues and ended up getting married.
After graduating from high school, I was able to attend the same university as Setsuna.
Since Setsuna really wanted us to live together, we asked for our parents’ permission for it.
Eventually, our parents gave us the permission and we started living together when we got into university.
It wasn’t that hard since we are both capable of doing household chores…well, except for the fact that Setsuna tried to do everything herself and somehow turned me into a useless person.
But apart from that, living together wasn’t much of a struggle.
One thing that I struggled with was interacting with women at my part-time job, club and at work after graduating from university.
I also felt a little bit worried about Setsuna getting involved with other men because of what happened with Yukina.
However, I felt relieved because Setsuna is a bit…her expression of affection is a little bit intense, to say the least.
It was somewhat already a problem when we were in high school, but Setsuna became even more affectionate when we entered college.
It’s nice to feel loved, but sometimes I wish she would tone it down a bit.
Having a passionate kiss right in front of girls I was talking to was a bit troublesome.
But I was really happy when she got jealous and became more aggressive at night.
Well, despite everything, we graduated from university, got engaged, got married, and our daughter, Yurika, was born safely.
She is five years old now.
“What’s wrong, darling? Is something on your mind?”
“No, I was just reflecting on everything that’s happened so far.”
“I see…do you regret marrying me?”
“No, absolutely not. I’m incredibly happy that I married you, Setsuna. I’m really grateful that we have our adorable Yurika. I have countless reasons to be happy, and I’ve never once regretted it.”
“Fufufu, that’s wonderful. Hey, Darling…”
“Setsuna.”
As Setsuna and I are getting closer to kiss each other…
“Hmm…”
I notice Yurika looking at us from below with a dissatisfied expression on her face, so I quickly avert my gaze from Setsuna.
Seeing this, Yurika squeezes my hand a little tighter.
Ah…come to think of it, there’s another thing I’ve been struggling with lately.
“It’s not fair that only Mom gets to kiss Dad. I want to kiss Dad too.”
“Ah…hahaha.”
Yurika tugs me at my sleeve saying so.
There is no way I can win against my cute, angel daughter.
So, I get down and kiss Yurika on the cheek.
“Fufufu, I love you, Dad.”
“I love you too, Yurika.”
“More than Mom?”
“That’s…I love you both equally, okay?”
The moment I say so,
“Dad, you always do that! Which one do you love more, Yurika or Mom!?”
Yurika says so while puffing her cheeks out.
As I’m thinking about what to say, I feel a cold gaze from Setsuna.
Cold sweat is dripping down my forehead.
“Darling? You haven’t kissed me yet, you know? It’s not fair to only kiss your daughter and not your wife.”
Setsuna says so with a smile on her face.
The thing that I’ve been struggling with lately is that Setsuna is jealous of her own daughter, Yurika.
Maybe it’s because she’s young, Yurika often says things like ‘I’m going to marry Dad in the future!’
Also, whenever I kiss Setsuna, Yurika always tell me to kiss her as well.
I’m sure one day that Setsuna is going to tell Yurika, ‘Don’t share laundry with your father.’ or something like that.
“Darling, I want you to pay me back along with the interest for making me wait, so I want you to kiss me here instead of on the cheek like you did to Yurika. Also, I want you to whisper lots of words of love to me later.”
Setsuna says so while pointing her index finger on her lips.
Of course, Yurika is staring at her mother.
Ah, why do they have to get jealous with each other?
After some thought…
“Let’s go home now, Grandma is waiting for us.”
I put on a wry smile and decided to avoid talking about it further.
“Wait, Dad. You haven’t answered Yurika’s question yet!”
“I wonder what’s going to happen tonight?”
Despite everything that’s happened, I’m really happy right now.

I mean… Sure, I guess. I wanted this to be over ages ago…
Wow they wrapped that one up quick and in a pretty tasteless way. As much as I hate Yukina, the most satisfying karma stories involve the person actually having to feel the suffering they dish out and then living with that regret. Them taking themselves out just makes the entire thing feel way less cathartic in hindsight. Like, I read stories like this because it’s satisfying to see people get what they deserve because reality isn’t kind enough for that to happen in actual life. The unreality of it is the point. Capping off the story with “and she was so miserable she died” just takes the wind out of the sails of the whole concept. Pretty disappointed. Yukina should have lived, and found some place for her to exist, just not as good of a place as she would have had if she hadn’t behaved like a monster. The entire life being 10% worse is more satisfying than the life being so bad it ends prematurely… Death is not a part of the karma catharsis fantasy for me. No escapist fantasy of mine involves death.
Don’t know why there’s a dislike here, I pretty much agree. I’m not against death as a consequence of one’s bad choices at the end of stories like this, but it should at least be explained.
I did enjoy this story though; I love happy endings.
Alright my question on why the Yandere tag was there was answered with this chapter
But this chapter also left another question? How did Yukina die? Did she commit suicide? Did something happen to her? Did she throw her life away and end up doing drugs or end up working in the sex business? I kinda wish they explained it since all that’s said is there visiting her grave. Even if it wasn’t stated what happened because I know she said in her last chapter she lost everything and had nothing now I wish the author had a side note explaining what happened because I’ve read some LN like “my girlfriend who was also my childhood friend cheated on me with my best friend and my other childhood friend helped me” or something along those lines explained some stuff on the side that weren’t explained in the chapter like how she found out the “best friend” was scum and was sleeping with multiple girls.
I’m not saying we needed like a while death chapter or suicide one it would of just been nice to know how she died.
Yep , like Knight dude says Sl** committed murder n suicide based on the last previous chapter 41 in the end… btw i yandere is both twin sisters and lastly the daughter Yurika inherited the mom’s traits 🤣🤣🤣 overloved the mc(her father) and views her mom like a another woman 🤣🤣🤣 same in the setsuna(the mom’s pov) I’m like 💀 wth 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And i got a story in my head about the continued or Invision of this story where both the mom n daughter will likely find a timing to kill each other for who’s win and get the mc(father)
I hope we got season 2 or i just write it my self for fun
Pretty obvious, isn’t it? “Why don’t we go to the trash together.” Murder-suicide, she killed her sempai then herself, feeling that’s all she could do left as the discarded piece of trash she felt she was.

Thats a pretty shit end. Like its just a revenge fic. They pretty much threw the sister in the dumpster. He would have been better off finding a third character to marry and have both sisters get theirs then. Like you were doing WHAT to your sister? Meh.
