Chapter 12 – The Evil Dragon Watches Over Her Son’s Adventure【Part 1】

The day after he was handed the rune-enforced weapons.

Ryuuji had come to the outskirts of town, bringing with him the beastman Sheila, as well as his mother.

The group walked through the grassy plains.

His mother hummed a tune in high spirits.

Ryuuji and Sheila walked ahead of her.

“I can’t believe Ryu-kun asked me to come along himself! Heheheh, I’m so fired up, this is just insane!”

His mother was carrying a ridiculously huge backpack.

“I made looots of lunch! Let’s eat it later, okay!?”

…She’s completely in picnic mode now.

And so it was.

For the strongest evil dragon, monster slaying was nothing more than a simple picnic.

After all, there was not a single being in existence who could stand against her.

“Besides, if I’m here, Ryu-kun can have a safe adventure. With me around, you have nothing to worry about! I’ll destroy any and all enemies for you!”

His mother, in a state of high excitement, summoned destructive lightning in her right hand.

Ryuuji stopped in his tracks.

“Yes, yes, what is it?”

“…Today, I just want you to watch from the back.”

Karma tilted her head at Ryuuji’s words.

“Just watch from the back… what do you mean?”

“Exactly what it sounds like. I want you to watch us from behind as we complete the quest.”

Ryuuji said, looking his mother straight in the face.

Upon hearing her son’s words, his mother’s face paled…

“N-No way, absolutely not!!”

As expected, his mother was vehemently opposed.

“It’s okay, Mom. Today’s quest is just slime subjugation. We can handle it on our own.”

“But still! It’s dangerous!! They may be weak, but they’re still monsters, you know!?”

His mother was genuinely worried.

Yeah… she’s always like this.

She was always worrying about Ryuuji.

Going ahead to clean out the dungeon, making him power-up meals, creating runic weapons for him.

Everything she did was for the sake of her son’s safety.

“I want you to watch.”

“I want you to see me adventuring properly with my companion, to see me growing.”

Then he looked her straight in the eye and declared.

“I want you to watch over me from the back.”

Karma heard Ryuuji’s words.

Her breathing, which had been heavy with excitement, came to a sudden halt.

“Watch over…”

Karma murmured to herself.

“Watch over… watching over my son’s growth. …Whoa, what is that, that’s so motherly! So very ‘Mom-like’!”

Karma beamed, her smile radiant.

…It was just as she said it would be.

The Observer. Her.

That morning, before Ryuuji left for his adventure, the elven Observer had given him some advice.

‘You know how Karma is, she has this thing where she idolizes being a mother. If you tell her to watch over her son’s growth, I bet she’ll behave herself. Big sis guarantees it.’

That was what she’d said.

“A mother watching over her son… I like it. I like it a lot! Aah, that’s so very motherly!!”

Karma spun around on the spot, looking utterly delighted.

“So you get it now?”

When Ryuuji said that, Karma stopped dead.

“I guess I have no choice~!”

“I’ve decided to silently watch over my son’s growth! I’ll watch! I’ll watch over him!”

With a huge smile on her face, his mother hugged Ryuuji from behind.

A soft, sweet scent like flowers drifted from her, and the soft, squishy feeling of her breasts pressed against his back.

With a girl his own age watching, her son tried desperately to push his mother away.
