I Broke Up With My Girlfriend Who Was Cheating On Me, But She Was So Deeply Sorry That I Couldn't Help But Forgive Her. - Chapter 1: Same Old Friday.
Same Old Friday.
When the spring of my second year in high school had passed and the rainy season was approaching, the four of us were still going about our usual routine of eating lunch on the rooftop on the first sunny day in a long time.
“How was the math quiz, guys?”
This was Chisaki Daichi.
A handsome, youthful man with short, brown hair that he waxed and slicked back.
“I scored a 70. What about you, Ayaka?”
The one who answered Daichi’s question was Sorahashi Miku.
A cute and cheerful girl with mid-length light brown hair and a loose perm.
She is also Daichi’s girlfriend.
“I scored 100. I’m sure you scored the same, right, Umi-kun?”
The one who responded to Sorahashi was Ayaka Hanashima.
She has long, glossy, and beautiful black hair.
The words ‘beautiful’ and ‘pretty’ suited her more than the word ‘cute,’ but she was more than happy to be called cute.
She is my girlfriend.
“Yeah, I got 100 points too. The same as you, Ayaka.”
And lastly, me, Umikita Umi.
The reason why the pronunciation of the kanji is the same from both sides is because my parents divorced and I took my mother’s family name, but I don’t really care about it.
I answered while brushing my black hair away from my eyes.
I would love to have a haircut like Daichi’s, but I have a rather simple face, so I don’t think short hair would suit me too well.
His current hairstyle is like that of a certain accountant from a student council (Kaguya Sama: Love is War.) in which the president and vice president battle over who will make the other one confess first.
“Oh~ hoh~, today too, the brilliant couple is very passionate.”
Daichi started to tease us.
“You say so, but you are eating your girlfriend’s homemade bento, Daichi.”
I teased him back.
“Umi-kun, would you like to have… a homemade bento…?”
Ayaka asked me with a hesitant look on her face…
Contrary to her ladylike and friendly image, Ayaka is a hopelessly bad cook.
The last time she gave me a meal, I ended up finishing it with cold sweat.
I’d like to congratulate myself for not throwing up.
The miso soup she gave me was just regular miso soup without soup stock.
But it was the best thing out of all, so I think you’ll get the idea of how good of a cook she is.
“If chef Sorahashi says ‘ok’ to your dish…”
“Wai-!?”
“Miku-chan, can I ask you to teach me how to cook?”
“Well…”
Sorahashi looked at me with half despair and half resentment.
Maybe if she agrees, she will die from a taste of her own medicine.
Namaste.
How did we come to get together?
It all started when Daichi fell in love with Sorahashi at first sight at the high school entrance ceremony.
Then Daichi started to aggressively approach Sorahashi, to the point where everyone thought ‘he might be a stalker?’ Sorahashi then fell in love with Daichi after about two months.
When I introduced myself to her, I discovered that a childhood friend of Sorahashi’s was interested in me.
I started wondering who this person was, and found that she was also ranked first in the test rankings, which were posted only for the top students. As I began to follow her with my eyes, I fell in love with her personality… I’m embarrassed to say it myself…
I was introduced to Ayaka, and the four of us often hung out together, and I was drawn to her kindness and good-heartedness, and it was only natural that I fell in love with her too.
On the day of the fireworks display, I made up my mind to confess my feelings to Ayaka when the fireworks were almost over, and she confessed her feelings to me just as the fireworks started to shoot off.
I told her that I was thinking of confessing my feelings to her after the fireworks, and we were both embarrassed but laughed at each other, and Daichi and Sorahashi, who joined us after the fireworks, congratulated us.
I’ve heard that people get tired of each other after 3 months, but I think I just started to like her more and more.
I’m glad she feels the same way.
I’ve been trying my best to give her what she wants.
But I haven’t been able to get physical with her…
Daichi and Sorahashi seem to be planning a date for their first anniversary tomorrow Saturday, and I also wanted to go on a date with Ayaka, so I asked her about it.
“Ayaka, do you have any plans tomorrow?”
“I’m really sorry, I have plans for tomorrow…”
She showed me a gloomy face…
“If you’ve already got plans, then so be it, don’t worry about it.”
I’d smile back at her, trying not to let her mind get the better of me.
I thought this kind of life would go on forever.
Until yesterday…

You are NOT gonna justify this 😭🤞🤞
