Chapter 17: Both Riona and I Think It’s True Love, Though?

“…It’s unbearably hard to sleep.”

I had dozed off at some point in the night, but the light filtering in through the gap in the curtains woke me up. Reona and Riona were still asleep, but just like before, I was tightly sandwiched between them. The pressure between their bodies was absolutely intense. I slowly got up, trying not to wake the two of them who looked like they were sleeping soundly. At that moment, I realized something outrageous.

To my shock, Reona, who had been sleeping next to me, was in her underwear. Looking closely, I saw that her pajamas had been tossed onto the floor beside the bed. Right at that moment, my shout must’ve woken them up, because the two of them began to stir.

I had actually been thinking of suggesting that myself, since I felt bad making them spend even their precious days off with me. Starting Monday, it would be one week before finals, so I figured they’d want to enjoy this weekend while they could.

It seemed like Reona and Riona were planning to go shopping. With the two of them, even something as simple as shopping would probably look picture-perfect.

I tried to politely decline, thinking it would be rude to intrude on their sisterly time—but in the end, I was convinced to go with them. I guess I’d just have to tag along until they were satisfied. We left the house and took a combination of buses and trains until we arrived at Tokyo Inclusion Square, a large shopping complex in Odaiba.

“Should we grab something to eat first? We haven’t had breakfast yet.”

“Yeah, good idea. Do you have a place in mind?”

“In that case, there’s somewhere I want to go.”

“Let’s go to that place, wherever Riona wants to go.”

“Alright, let’s do that.”

With our destination decided, we started walking. Since Riona was the one who suggested it, I had a feeling it was going to be a stylish place and just as I was thinking about that, we arrived at the place.

“We’re here. Let’s head in.”

“Wow, this place has a really nice vibe.”

Just as I suspected, the place had an incredibly stylish atmosphere. Honestly, as a Background Character B, I felt completely out of place here.

“… I know it’s rude to say this after you went out of your way to bring me here, but… Can we go somewhere else?”

“Why?”

“Well, it’s just… The place is packed with couples. We’ll really stand out.”

“Then why don’t the three of us pretend to be a couple?”

When Riona asked me why, I gave her an honest answer and Reona, with a mischievous grin on her face, immediately said something outrageous.

“No, no. If the three of us act like a couple, doesn’t that make me look like some scumbag two-timer?”

I was desperately trying to figure out a way to get them to give up on this place, but judging by their attitude, there was no chance of that happening. Left with no other choice, we entered the restaurant and were guided to a table. As expected, the place was full of couples, and I already wanted to leave.
