[Publication 2 Volume Release Anniversary SS ①] Wait for Me, Senpai! Ibuki’s Side
“Huh? Senpai got fired from the company?”
Ibuki shouted loudly without hesitation.
It seemed to be the consensus of all the people in the office, though it seemed to be floating on its own.
“The acting section chief of the new section, Ichinose-san has been fired as of today.”
A sudden notice by an officer.
The content was more than enough to shock the office.
Ibuki stood up and asked the reason, but the executives just repeatedly did things that didn’t get to the point like politicians.
(I can’t believe his wedding was ruined and he was forced to quit the company… I’m sure Senpai must be in a very difficult situation by now.)
“I’m coming out for a second!”
When Ibuki is no longer at work, she tries to leave the desk with her bag, but a man blocks her.
“Where are you going, Ibuki-chan? Work has already started, and unlike me, Ibuki-chan doesn’t have any outside business.”
Arata and her colleague and classmate Ootori Kyouhei appeared.
“Get out of the way, Ootori-san, I’m going to Senpai’s house to see what’s going on.”
“Please, Ibuki-chan, calm down a little. I’m sure he’ll be happy if a cute kouhai visits his house.”
“A-a dear kouhai…”
Ibuki blushes a little, imagining Arata-san’s delight.
She doesn’t seem to realize that Kyouhei is being taken in by him.
“But I think it’s better for him to say that he has a hole in his work than to hunt him down.”
“That’s… that might be the case.”
Ibuki was surprised by Kyouhei’s words.
When he found out that his absence had hindered his department, it was obvious to his subordinate, Ibuki, that she was worried about Arata-san, who had a sense of responsibility for his serious work.
(We can’t mentally corner Senpai any longer.)
When she thought about it, Ibuki’s smartphone vibrated.
That was a new message.
“I apologize to contact you on your personal smartphone―”
Ibuki smiles bitterly at the new communication that started with an apology that cannot use his company’s PC.
“That looks like a new one. You came to me, too. You’re a real work person, aren’t you? Well, what we can do is to keep the place where the new is gone and make them feel safe.”
“Yes, I’m going back to work.”
(He’s always like that. He was always considerate of others even though he was in a difficult situation. That’s why I want to support him.)
Ibuki returned to her desk and called Arata-san.
In order to hear the details of the handover, she wanted to hear Arata’s voice in front of her.
A calm baritone voice shakes the eardrum.
After exchanging greetings, Ibuki takes over the work and tells Arata to feel at ease when the call is over.
“I know that Senpai worked really hard. Honestly, I don’t know if we can make it, but that system will be completed soon. Then it will be greatly improved. So leave it to us and take your time Senpai.”
She still can’t say, “Leave everything to me!” Such flimsy empty words only make Arata uneasy.
While understanding this, she conveys realistic words of encouragement. Just add a word of pride that Senpai knew best about his hard work.
“Thank you. Let’s go to dinner when things settle down.”
Ibuki’s heart leaps.
(Maybe this is a date? It doesn’t matter because my fiance is gone, does it? But since it’s gone yesterday, today, I guess it’s unscrupulous.)
“Eh, it’s just the two of us?”
She couldn’t control herself, so she just stepped out of her mouth.
“Don’t worry, my colleagues are with us.”
(Aah, I don’t have to worry about that! I wish we were alone!)
“…Understood.”
Ibuki hung up the phone, feeling a little depressed about the fact that they were not alone.
“It’s all right, I’ll do what I can. We still have time! Please wait for me, Senpai!”
Ibuki rolled up her shirt sleeves and set about her work.
