Harem Of The Oshika Clan - H036 First Day at the Academy: Shock
H036 First Day at the Academy: Shock
Today, I start as a second-year high school student—or rather, a fifth-year in Meshi Academy’s middle division.
Sitting up in bed, that’s my first thought.
On my first day at Meshi Academy, I woke just before the alarm. I stretched to silence it, got out of bed, and opened the window curtains. The rising sun lit up my naked body. I opened the window, stretching my arms wide. Haa, feels good. A bit chilly, though.
I closed the window, left the curtains open, and slipped into workout clothes. It’s my first school day, but skipping my run might lead to slacking off. I planned my wake-up time with running in mind.
Outside the mansion, I jogged the estate’s perimeter and returned to the entrance, where two maids waited as usual: Moe-san and Kimiko-san. They led me to the bath to wash off my sweat.
After the bath, they carefully dried me. I put on socks and underwear, then a gown. I’d change into my uniform last.
In the dining hall, I ate with Reiran-san. No maids joined us (though some stood by in the corner), probably because school’s starting and things are busy. Some maids are students, balancing both roles, not as part-timers.
Maybe I should find a part-time job, though I’ve never had one. Something to think about later.
I feel like there’s a lot to consider, and some things are slipping through the cracks. I’ll push back what I can and focus on what’s necessary.
After breakfast, I went to the first-floor dressing room—call it a changing or waiting room—to brush my teeth and change into the uniform the maids brought from my room. I’d planned to change upstairs, but going back to the third floor and down again felt like a hassle. On busy weekday mornings, I want to save time, even if it’s extra work for the maids.
In my uniform, tie knotted, I checked the mirror. As I thought yesterday, it still feels unfamiliar. Natural, since it’s new. It’ll feel right with time.
“You look great.”
Kimiko-san, who helped me change, said this, eyeing me from head to toe.
“Thanks. Still feels like the clothes are wearing me, though.”
“Wear them daily, and that’ll flip soon.”
I appreciate her honest “you’ll get used to it” over flattery. Keeps me grounded.
Taking my bag from Kimiko-san, I left the dressing room. It’s early, but as it’s my first day after transferring, I’m heading out ahead of schedule. Starting tomorrow, I can take it slower.
In the entrance hall, Reiran-san and Moe-san waited to see me off.
“Akira-san, it suits you.”
“Thanks. It’s new, but I’ll make it work.”
I smiled at Reiran-san’s compliment, hoping it wasn’t stiff. We’ve gotten closer this week, so it’s probably fine.
I put on my shoes, stepped outside, and had photos taken with the mansion as the backdrop. Not an entrance ceremony, but I wanted to send my uniform pics to Dad, Mom, and Runa. Maybe Youko, too.
“Please, take your seat.”
A familiar woman opened the car’s back door—Washiha Manaka-san, I think, the next head of the Washiha family, whom I met at my introduction.
“Thank you.”
I got in, and Manaka-san closed the door, sliding into the driver’s seat.
“Manaka-san, please take care of me.”
“Yes. I’ll drive safely.”
Manaka-san smiled, faced forward, and started the car smoothly. Reiran-san and the two maids waved as we left.
From the mansion to Meshi Academy, it’s about twenty minutes—not from the estate’s gate, but the mansion itself. It’s a kilometer to the south inner gate, one and a half to the south outer gate, and four more through the grandchild branch families’ area. Driving slowly, maybe thirty kilometers per hour, it takes fifteen minutes just to exit the estate. Then, speeding up, it’s five minutes to the academy—three or four kilometers outside the estate.
Maybe I’ll bike to school, using the bus only in bad weather.
When the car parked at the academy, Manaka-san quickly got out and opened my door. I thanked her and stepped out.
“Akira-san, do you know the way to the director’s office?”
Manaka-san asked, closing the door. I’m supposed to go there first today. Transfer paperwork’s done (behind my back), but it’s special treatment for my first day.
“Sorry, I’ve seen the campus map, but I’m not confident.”
The campus is huge, and this is only my second visit.
“Then I’ll guide you.”
“Sorry, please do.”
On my first school day, I was escorted like a kid to the director’s office.
“Akira-san, welcome to Meshi Academy.”
Manaka-san led me to the director’s office, where the academy director and middle division principal greeted me. Manaka-san left without entering.
“Yes, please take care of me from today.”
I bowed politely.
I’d met both at my introduction. The academy director, Meshi Takemi-san, heads the Meshi family and is Hikaru’s eldest daughter—my older sister. Her long hair is tied up, a stunning beauty like most Oshika women, with sharp eyes evoking a beast.
The principal, Shishikura Miku-san, heads the Shishikura family and is Hikaru’s second daughter—another sister. Her neat short hair and crisp presence mark her as another beauty. Both are nearing menopause yet breathtakingly gorgeous.
Speaking of beauty, Manaka-san, who brought me here, is stunning too. Are all Oshika women beauties? Maybe inbreeding lowered birth rates but enhanced looks.
Takemi-san and Miku-san explained academy life—specifically, sexual life. As an Oshika Group school, many clan girls (and boys) attend. I might be invited by them or can initiate myself. Clan students are few, so we should avoid public displays for intercourse, they said.
Even with my indulgent life at the mansion, I have enough sense to restrain myself outside. When I gently protested, they said intercourse is fine—encouraged, even—in spare time, and a little exposure doesn’t matter. They seem more concerned about the clan’s future than Reiran-san.
They’ve even prepared a private room for me to use freely without worrying about eyes. With such arrangements, I couldn’t lightly say I wouldn’t do it. I managed, “I’ll try not to let it affect my studies.”
Still, their concern suggests we need outside blood. Branch family husbands are often outsiders, but the main family could use it too. And the direct inheritance rule? Branch families don’t follow it, so why should the main family? Sowing seeds in branch families justifies male succession, but allowing collateral inheritance seems necessary.
Reiran-san and Haguro-san said if I’d refused to join, direct succession would’ve ended. We need to revise these traditions before the next crisis, likely through years of talks with Reiran-san and branch heads.
“That’s all for now. We’ll explain the academy facilities next, but please wait a moment. Another fifth-year transfer student will join us for the explanation.”
“Okay, understood.”
Another transfer in my year? Probably smarter than me—I barely passed the entrance exam after a month of intense tutoring. I was worried about making friends, but having another transfer is reassuring. I can start by bonding with them.
As I thought this, the director’s office door was knocked.
“Yes, come in.”
At the director’s call, a teacher (or staff?) ushered in…
“Youko??”
“Akira, long time no see.”
It was my childhood friend, Seki Youko, my first sexual partner.
