For I Am A Side Character - 51: A Night to Remember
Something felt odd that night…
In that moment, he felt a sensation that caused his heart to beat twice as fast, his sense turning to a blur as his only focus was her…
As she entered the house, she slowly looked around with a curious gaze. Despite the fact that she has already been here, her excuse to look around and to not look at him in any sort of fashion, made him tense up even more. She avoided his eyes, and only turned to look at the walls and other furniture’s…all her excuses ended when she finally came across the dining table in the kitchen.
Despite having no moon that night, a sense of temptation was flowing in the air.
Jessica, without a word, went by and sat at the dining table. Seeing her sit there, Soril felt her intent.
“…” he could see it in the context of her actions, the way she simply smiled without saying a word, caused for a thought that he was being invited to sit down right in front of her.
So, without halt, he followed through with her request.
As he sat down, she finally spoke.
“It’s crazy, today’s been a crazy day.” Said Jessica as she taps down on the wooden table.
“Well, we did go far and beyond with our hunt today. Instead of just hunting one orc and one goblin, we did take care of an entire fortress filled with those guys.” said Soril as he spoke back with a calm tone, despite his heart beating twice as fast.
“…I know, I just wished that I was there with you at the end.” She said as she had this expression filled with a small tinge of regret and envy.
“Jessica, the boss monster was more than we could have handled.” Explained Soril as he tried to humble the problem.
“I know…I know that I’m not strong enough…but I’m envious of you guys.” Saying that, she looked him right in the eye.
“…What are you talking about?” having to ask this, he could not understand what she meant by her words.
“You…and them. When you came out of the room, I was really relieved to find that you were safe and sound…but I was also very jealous.”
“…”
“I wanted to be included…”
As her words rang in his ears, she let out a soft yet guilty smile.
“Jessica I-“
Soril wanted to reason with her, he wanted to tell her that it was a dangerous quest, but before he could, Jessica spoke back.
“I know…like I said, I’m not strong enough.” In her words, her grip tightened…she knew without a doubt that her capacity to be strong wasn’t at a level comparable to that of them…
It burdened her with the thought that if she was this weak…would he abandon her? Would his eyes turn to someone more capable?
Jessica was a direct person when it came to simple things like wanting to go hunting, to choose a path that simply motivated her in her ambitions or her hobbies…she was even direct with her action when it came to a language that spoke of her intent towards a certain someone. Her intent to show her feelings through simply hints.
She would lean her head on his chest to rest.
She would grab his arms and hold on them tight.
She worries about him during a disaster.
She even went far beyond and made him a sandwich that spoke of her passion and talents.
At this point, she knew what she felt about him despite the short time they spent together.
And that was the problem.
The time they spent together was too short. To her, it felt like she was moving too fast…she worries that if she confessed right now, she could imagine him backing away…
Despite all her advances to him, she felt like it wasn’t enough.
And then came the worry of a certain added problem.
Certain women were now looking to him with somewhat troublesome expressions.
If she didn’t place her position well enough in the eyes of those women, it could have lead to an assumption that he was available…Thankfully, she was good enough to place her position in assuming her stance against those prying eyes.
But today, after the hunt, she had a long time to think to herself.
The only way to secure him in her arms was to be direct. It didn’t matter if the time they spent was short, the fact remains that she wanted him.
Like every other person who was able to realize their love for something, where it would grow into a form of obsession, she knew that she wanted him.
She knew it deep within her heart.
To her, Soril was someone who made her feel secure and passionate. Not only was his strength an attractive trait that made her heartbeat twice as fast, but his kindness, the way he was soft in his act despite his strength, and his boldness, the way he stands proud in certain moments and most of all, the way he acts towards her in times when she showed love towards him.
He would reciprocate every action she made to advance her relationship with him.
When she came to grab his hand last night, how she rested her head in his chest, he did not push her away. Instead, he accepted her feelings to a point that it made her happy to no end.
So here, her heart was set on him.
From a tightened grip, she soon loosened.
And she turned to face him with a soft smile.
“…I know that I’m not strong enough…and one day, If a time comes that I can’t reach you, I want you to know…” her words paused as she opened her palm for him.
“…I love you.”
A smile filled with affection…a heart that beats twice as fast…a night that was silent as it comes and a confession that was filled with no regrets.
In return, on her open palm, a rugged hand rested on top and claimed her very hand, interlocking it as if it was his to hold.
“..!?” her response was unlike her. She was shocked to find him holding her hand.
In this moment, as she waited for a response, she felt the rugged hand of Soril shaking. And with it, a voice filled with anxiety rolled over.
“…Are…are you asking me out?” his voice shook…yet his eyes remained still as he looked to her with a furrowed brow.
“…” as Jessica stared, hearing his question. She pondered.
Was this confession a question?
Or was this simply a confession and nothing else?
“…what if it was…what would be your answer?” and in his question, she turned it around.
“…” Soril was left staring and spooked by it.
“…Do you love me?” her voice was forced, but she pushed forth with a more direct question.
Leaving him with a yes or a no…
And he answered.
“I do.”
“!” hearing his answer…she was shocked to hear him say those words…yet she smiled, happily so.
“…” it left him silent after that. He waited for what she would do then…
His ears were as red as an apple, yet his eyes remained staring at her.
What would she do now?
As he asked himself this…
“!?”
He found himself being covered by her shadow as she stood up from the table.
Staring down at him, with her cheeks flushed and flustered…she leaned in with her soft lips and gentle gaze, her breath was filled with the temptation of lust and love…
Then and there, she wanted to pounce herself at him, yet she controlled herself.
Slowly but surely, She leaned in with her soft lips.
“!!”
And as their lips touched, Soril could feel her breath. The way she was feeling nervous in this moment…
The way her lips touched his, it caused a pressure unknown to his heart to fill.
It made him feel wanted…cared for…loved…
He never had this experience back in his old life…yet here, he received it from the one girl who had genuine feelings for him and the only proper response to her emotions at this point was to push back. there, with her nervous breathing, Soril respondid by moving along with the motions of her emotion.
he reciprocated his emotion like a blade and he kissed her back like that of a thrust of a sword.
In the moment that he did, with the way he responded to her, it caused her to flinch. Just like how he always is, he acted noble in response to her feelings.
In the same manner, Jessica felt loved and cared for as Soril moved in with his kiss to her. Both their lips were in sync, like a dance that was more sensual than anything they have ever felt before.
And it didnt stop here.
Soon after, as they kissed even more, their eyes were left shut…with his lips in synch with hers, they went in deeper to a point that it ignited a fiery passion. With each touch, they lost themselves in the moment. Consumed by desire, which soon enough, her tongue was soon able to get involve in the kiss. With it, her passion soon overwhelmed as she went pass just from lips to lips. Her tongue danced with his in a frenzied desire. and in the same manner, Soril’s tongue dance with hers.
‘Oh god…’ Jessica got so heated that she climbed up the table, with her passion turning to a point of lust, leaving her to come close with her knees kneeling, yet it didn’t stop her. She was like an animal craving for his lips and more.
She proceeded to push down her body on his, with her firm ample chest touching his, she could feel both their hearts sync in the beat of this lustful moment. Feeling the hard muscles of his abs and chest beneath her fingertips, she pulled out a bit from their kiss to breath for just a second, only to move in again like a ravaging animal.
She proceeded to claim her hand upon his hair as she became mad with lust. Pulling him in and never letting him go…The taste of his lips was so intoxicating, it made her want him even more…she couldn’t get enough of him.
At one point, she moaned as she felt herself heat up from this experience. Her desiring flame made her act rough in the moment
They kissed each other as if their lives depended on it, each touch, each caress drove them closer to an edge…The world felt unimportant in that moment as they soon came to a passionate embrace. Jessica wanted to tear his shirt apart and so did Soril…with their superhuman strength, it could have been easy…yet it never did.
By that time, when they finally pulled themselves apart, they were left gasping for air.
“haa….haa…haa”
“haa….haa…haa”
With their sweat sticking to one another, they were only left staring at one another with the same lustful expressions…
If it continued, it could have….
If only one of them was brave enough to push through…They could have done it, but it never came to that point.
They were only left staring at each other as red and as lustful as what youth is.
With Jessica soon fixing her hair, and so did Soril, a tense feeling left them silent.
Noticing where they were at that point, Jessica was found kneeling on the table, while Soril was left with his clothes disheveled.
When she tried getting off, Soril helped her.
As he did, he noticed that from where she kneeled, a spot of moisture was left on the table. A type of moisture that seemed so specific, it made Soril blush.
“…ah.” Seeing that, Soril quickly looked away.
“I guess…I guess this wasn’t a bad idea after all. Hehe” she chuckled as she spoke with a red face and a disheveled hair.
“Y-yeah…”
“Hmm…so, where are we at this point?” she asked.
“What?”
“What I mean is that, am I your girlfriend now?” she asked as she stared at him with a soft smile on her face.
“Yeah, I guess you are…” he answered.
“Hmm…” she smiled as he affirmed her question.
Having to fix herself in front of a mirror, when she finally was able to stand with a presentable face, she walked herself to the door.
There, Soril accompanied her.
“…”
As they stood near the door, with Soril nervously looking at Jessica.
“Well, I’ll be going now. See you tomorrow….darling.” As she said this, she came in close and pecked his cheeks one last time.
“…y-yeah.”
There she left, leaving the boy on his own with a rather flustered face.
