Embracing my stalker - Chapter 3- Reunion
“Leave me…” Her voice trailed off as she tried to get away from the two girls holding her arms from both sides.
Inside the classroom, four girls could be seen, their hair color vibrant, except the one who was being held.
Across from the three sat a beautiful, pink-haired young girl, reading a letter at the moment.
“Your kind smile is healing…I really admire your leadership qualities…and what the crap is this? Some kind of motivational speech?” Yumeko scoffed as she tore the love letter into several pieces before getting up from the desk.
Approaching the girl with the glasses, she asked, “Tell me, Ayame, didn’t you get admission to this prestigious university through a scholarship? So, shouldn’t you be focusing on studies rather than something like this?” She threw the pieces of Ayame’s face.
The other two chuckled, “Seriously, this nerd believed having a rack can get her any man.”
The other one whistled, “I heard she gets asked out by old geezers? Tell me, are you into sugar daddy stuff?”
Yumeko laughed, “It won’t be surprising. Her body is very much to old men’s preferences.”
Through the giggles, a quiet voice seeped, “You seem to know a lot about them.”
The trio paused as they clearly heard the voice.
Yumeko scowled, “What did you mean by that, you slut*slap*!” A crisp slap resonated through the classroom
Ayame fell on the floor, her glasses thrown off somewhere.
She tried to find it only to hear something breaking.
“Oops, didn’t see that~”
Ayame’s chin quivered, tears welling in her eyes.
Was it a sin to just appreciate a person’s skills and qualities? She wasn’t sending him a love letter. She just wanted to let him know that she admires him.
That someone was there…looking at him from afar.
It was then,
*Krik*
The doors of the classroom were swung open.
On the other side, a brown haired young man stepped inside, his forehead glistening with sweat.
Yumeko stepped forward, “Ah, Haruto. I missed-” but she was pushed aside by Haruto mercilessly as he slowly approached the fallen girl.
“A-Ayame?” His voice quivered slightly, confusing Ayame.
However, the moment she turned to look at him…she froze.
Her vision might not be the best but she couldn’t be wrong about something.
‘He is…weeping?’
Her heart fell. What happened? Did he get hurt? Or did Yumeko cheat on him? Why is he crying?
Her mind was riddled with thoughts and she suddenly felt the urge to reach her phone and text him.
“Ayame…” He called out again, his tone carrying desperation as he extended his hand to her.
She was at a loss but she held his hand.
So warm and big…all the pain on her cheek melted with that single touch.
Haruto first helped her get up when he heard,
“What in the world are you doing? Pushing me away to help that hoe-”
“Yumeko!” Haruto growled, his fierce eyes making her flinch and she instinctively took a few steps back.
But then, tears well up in her eyes and she ran away while shouting, “I-I won’t talk to you!” The other two girls soon followed.
Haruto rolled his eyes before turning his attention to the small girl looking at him in a daze.
“Hmm?” He asked in a hum.
“Why are you crying?” She asked; looking worried even though her situation was more concerning.
Haruto smiled fondly at her before shaking his head, “It’s nothing. I am just happy…to know that I have such a cute admirer.”
“…!” Her eyes widened, those green eyes sparkling with shock and exhilaration.
This was the first time Haruto had looked at her face carefully.
Greenish-black long hair and a pair of shining eyes that she hides behind thick glasses. A small beauty mark under her lip and a round, adorable face.
Haruto’s gaze landed on the pieces of paper on the floor before he crouched to pick.
His eyes then landed on broken glasses nearby and anger boiled inside him.
However, deciding to deal with them later he asked the girl, “Would you like to go and buy new glasses? It would be a gift from me.”
Her eyes widened before she hurriedly denied, “N-No, I can’t take it.”
Haruto thought for a moment before telling her, “It was my fiancée who damaged your thing so shouldn’t I be compensating? Please don’t refuse my intentions.”
His heart bled at calling Yumeko his fiancée but that was his best excuse to get her new glasses.
His words slowly melted the refusal before she nodded, “Okay.”
Haruto grinned before he picked up all the pieces and told her, “Let’s go.”
Ayame nodded before she started following him in silence.
As they walked through the hallway, Ayame softly called out, “I am sorry for that letter..I shouldn’t have sent you that knowing you are already engaged.”
Haruto suddenly spun on his heels and turned to look at a stunned Ayame.
“So my relationship is the reason why you are regretful of sending me the letter?”
Ayame slowly nodded. Even though it was just meant to appreciate his performance, she shouldn’t have secretly slid the letter.
“That means if I hadn’t been in a relationship you would have sent me letters without hesitation?”
Ayame was confused why he would say something like this but seeing his expectant…beautiful gaze, she slowly nodded.
Haruto grinned before telling her, “Then consider me single now. I am breaking up with Yumeko.”
“….!”
