Chapter 21: No Count, Right!

“It… it’s… huh? Just now…”

“You did it. A kiss.”

When my big sister said that to me again, I had no choice but to understand. I really got kissed.

I could tell my already hot face got even hotter.

“Miha, I have to prepare dinner, so I’m going now.”

“…Huh, oh, what?”

Not knowing what to say, I stayed on the bed as my big sister left my room.

I… I… with my big sister… a k-kiss. No, it’s not like I kissed her! She forced it on me! It doesn’t count, right? I didn’t kiss her. I’ve never kissed anyone!

Making that excuse to myself, I grabbed a notebook from my desk to study and escape reality.

While I was studying to escape reality, my big sister knocked on the door and came in.

“W-w-what, big sister?”

“Hehe, Miha, what’s wrong? You’re so shaken up.”

“I-I’m not shaken up!”

I was trying to escape reality, but when my big sister came in, I remembered what happened earlier, and I couldn’t speak clearly.

“A-anyway, what do you want?”

“I’m cooking rice now, so I thought we could take a bath together.”

A b-bath… Just looking at my big sister makes me think of what happened, and if I take a bath with her now, I’ll think about it even more.

“I… I want to bathe alone today…”

That’s what I said.

“No way, right? You promised you’d only bathe alone yesterday and today.”

“T-that’s true, but…”

I didn’t think something like this would happen today…

If I knew my big sister would do this, I would’ve said I’d bathe alone today…

I know thinking that won’t turn back time, but I couldn’t help it.

“Well, if Miha really can’t stop thinking about me and wants to bathe alone today, I guess just for today it’s fine.”

“T-that’s not true! I-I’ll bathe with you!”

“Really? Then let’s go.”

“W-wait—”

My big sister didn’t let me argue and took me to the bathroom.

I regretted what I said as I hurriedly took off my clothes, pushed by my big sister.

Chapter 22: I Can’t Help but Feel Nervous

“Miha, don’t move.”

I was just getting my hair washed by my big sister like usual, but I felt strangely nervous and tried to pull away without thinking. That’s when she said that to me.

“I-I get it.”

I said that and tried not to pull away from her, praying it would end quickly. This is weird. I love my big sister, but it’s the kind of love sisters have. It’s probably just because I’m unconsciously thinking about what happened earlier, and that’s why I’m nervous.

“All done.”

I felt relieved when I heard my big sister say that after rinsing out the shampoo.

“Now, your body—”

“I-I’ll wash my body myself!”

I cut off what my big sister was about to say and said that. I haven’t done anything wrong today, so I don’t want her to wash my body in a weird way like last time, saying it’s a punishment.

“Fine, whatever.”

When my big sister said that, I gave her the chair I was sitting on, washed my body with body soap, and got into the bath. I tried not to look at her because it made me nervous.

“I-I’m getting out because I might overheat!”

When my big sister finished washing her body and tried to get in the bath with me, I said that and rushed out of the bathroom. I quickly wiped my hair and body and went back to my room as fast as I could. I didn’t get my hair dried by my big sister again, but I don’t care if my hair’s a little wet.

I got back to my room, but there was nothing to do, and it’d be dinner time soon anyway, so I went to the living room. If I stayed in my room when dinner was close, it’d seem like I was thinking too much about my big sister.

While I was thinking that and hanging out on the sofa, my big sister came into the living room after her bath. Looking at her made me nervous again, so I turned on the TV, even though there wasn’t a show I wanted to watch, and focused on it to avoid thinking about her.

Then, my big sister went straight to the kitchen and started making dinner.

I wonder if she’d let me sleep alone tonight if I asked.

I kept my eyes on the TV, thinking about that, passing the time.

Chapter 23: Can’t Sleep

“Miha, it’s ready.”

My big sister said that and brought dinner.

She probably won’t let me sleep alone, so I’ll eat quickly and go to bed. If I’m asleep, I won’t think about her being next to me.

“Thanks for the food.”

I said that, put my dishes in the kitchen, and hurried back to my room.

Sleeping right after eating might make me fat, but it should be fine for just today.

I told myself that and lay down on my bed.

I closed my eyes to sleep right away, but I couldn’t. I slept too much this afternoon…

If I don’t sleep soon, my big sister will finish eating and come into my room…

But the more I thought about it, the less I felt like I could sleep.

While I was still awake, there was a knock on the door.

“Miha, are you asleep?”

My big sister came in and asked that.

I thought about pretending to be asleep for a moment, but she might do something weird again, so I decided to answer honestly.

“…I’m awake.”

“No more pretending to sleep, huh?”

My big sister teased me, but I ignored her and tried to sleep.

“B-big sister, a-are you sleeping already?”

As I was trying to sleep, my big sister lay down next to me, so I said that in a panic. She just ate dinner, so she might get fat.

“If you’re trying to sleep, I’ll sleep too.”

“B-but you just ate, so you might get fat.”

I said that to keep her away.

“That’s you too, right? You’re probably thinking it’s fine for one day and trying to sleep.”

“That’s not true at all.”

I quickly denied it to hide that she guessed my thoughts.

Then, my big sister hugged me and patted my head.

“I-it’s hot, so get off!”

It was hot before, but it feels even hotter today. It’s because I’m thinking about what she did earlier, making my face and body hot.

“If you don’t behave, I’ll kiss you again.”

As I squirmed to get away, she whispered that in my ear, and my body froze. I know from before that she’s not bluffing.
