Apparently, Her Highness Princess wants to keep her relationship with me a secret (what does she even mean by 'her relationship with me'?) - 1-2
1-2
I don’t know how, but after getting hit by a truck in my previous life and died, I was reborn in some distant world as a blond-haired boy. A pale-skinned guy with sharp eyes.
As I grew, I was satisfied to find that I was taller than average—just like in my previous life.
And so, I’m attending an academy now. The equivalent of high school in Japan.
“Today’s lesson ends here. Make sure to review on your own. Oh, before we leave—I’ll be putting up the results of last week’s quiz in the hallway… but before you go and check on them, there’s something I want to say.”
Even though it’s said a Academy, this isn’t like the three-story concrete buildings from my previous life. It’s a dazzling, palace-like place where royal banquets could be held daily. Even the name of this place is Westminster School of Magic.
“Do you have no pride as noblemen? Most of you were outperformed by Princess Emma, who rarely even attends class. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself?”
If you close your eyes, you can hear the sound of an orchestra and smell the scent of roses—an elegant, extravagant place. Honestly, it’s so luxurious that I feel out of place.
Even the teacher standing at the podium, he looks as if he stepped out from a movie.
“Gentlemen and women, take good pride in your studies as well. That will be all.”
With the end of his lecture, the class was dismissed. Fuu~, what a pain.
Alongside the bell ring, the classroom emptied as students poured into the hallways.
“Yo, pretty boy! You… slept in class again, didn’t you. You’ve got bags under your eyes!”
“…Don’t slap my back. Your strength’s way strong.”
“Itose, you really need to eat more! Otherwise, you’ll fail the field expedition classes starting this semester, you know!”
I tucked my textbooks under my arms and joined the flow. The guy talking to me was one of my friends—Harold Hardy. Although his messy blond hair was blinding to my eyes.
Just like me, another nobody, he’s the second son of the Hardy baron family.
A big physique guy with talent for magic, but he’s a weirdo aiming to become a scholar after graduation.
Getting smacked by this big physique guy, honestly hurts.
“Come on, Itose. Let’s stop by Old Dondor’s candy shop on the way home! They just released their spring special it seems!”
“Harold, you, didn’t you swear off snacks as if you got your big physique even bigger, you would be forcefully drafted into the army by your father?”
“After a lot of thought, it turns out that… I’m a man who can’t resist temptation!”
Oh, by the way—Itose is my name. Itose Orgod.
Third son of the Orgod baron family. That’s my standing in this world. Well, as appropriately, it’s just another bottom-rung noble in this world though.
“Let’s check out the put up rankings, Itose.”
“I’ll pass. After all, my name won’t be there anyway.”
“Come on, don’t say that! Let’s go shall we! To be honest, I’ve got a little confidence this time! After all, I’m an aspiring Scholar, see!”
When we went out in the hallway, I was it lined up with plush red carpets—so soft it felt really wrong to even walk upon.
And just outside the windows stretched a peaceful green garden. Every time I saw this shimmering, tranquil view, I was reminded of how I traversed off to a completely different world from where I previously was in my last life.
“Oi look, Itose! Her Royal Highness Princess Emma is at the top again. Isn’t she’s incredible, that Royal Princess.”
Looking at the rankings posted on the hallway wall Harold put out a voice of admiration.
The Imperial Court Academy which is mostly made up of 10/10 beautiful men and women in their late teens. As I walked, I felt like I was in a school war life where orchestra performances and the scent of roses wafted out from everywhere.
“Her Royal Highness, it’s said that she hardly ever comes to class because of her royal duties… I wonder when she even gets the time to study?”
“Who knows?”
“Come on, man. Aren’t you interested at all?”
“Someone like us, Low rank poverty stricken Nobles like us, will never get involved with someone like her. So why would that matter? Besides, if she’s scoring high without attending classes, she probably has some amazing dedicated home tutor for herself.”
Even though born as a noble, I’m still a nobody compared to the elites in this school, who feel like standing up above the clouds in terms of recognition.
While Princess Emma is at the top of that food chain. But even as someone who is a bottom-rung noble like me, is still considered someone up above the clouds as compared to commoners—which makes it funny how that all works.
“That’s cold, Itose. And yet, I just can’t comprehend just how the hell you are so popular.”
“Ouch… As I said, stop hitting my back already.”
I drifted away from the crowd gathering after getting a look at the rankings posted in the board.
Standing there too long made it hard to breathe.
“So, Itose… about after school—”
“No thanks. I’ve got side jobs to earn me money.”
“Again, that shady side job again? You know, how our classmates talk around your back. They say you’re doing something sketchy—using your looks to… entertain some older married women (MamaKatsu ( ¬ᴗ¬)) or something—hey! Are you even listening, Itose?!”
You’re being too noisy.
I’m just using the knowledge from my past life to contribute to society, mind you.

Oh? He wasn’t also a top-scorer? Hence why they would think that a lowly baron is infatuated with Her Highness that he racked-up his brain just to get that score? How did the rumour spread, then?
