- Chap 12: Dungeon Exploration by the Same-Age Team - Battle
The cheat ability I received from the goddess is called “Creation.” At first glance, it may seem like a plain ability, but it’s actually quite useful. As the name suggests, it allows me to create or replicate things. What caught my attention was the recreation of the legendary weapons that have been passed down through the ages.
I have a keen eye for cool things, and I had sufficient knowledge of legendary weapons, so I succeeded in recreating one. The weapon I possess is a sword.
[Flame Sword]
This sword is said to have been owned by the black giant Surt from Norse mythology, who used its flames to engulf the world. “Surt” means black, and although the flames of the sword don’t turn completely black, they are a bluish-purple color. Calling it by its original name felt somewhat uncool, so I refer to it as the [Black Flame Sword – Black Sword].
Alma wields a spear.
[Gungnir]
Odin, who appears in Norse mythology, owned this spear, and it possesses the ability to “always hit its intended target.” It truly means a hundred shots, a hundred hits. Furthermore, it also has the ability to return to the wielder’s hand. This way, there’s no need to go retrieve it when it’s thrown far away.
Lafia wields dual swords.
[Excalibur]
It is the beloved sword of Prince Arthur and the most famous holy sword among legendary weapons. Interestingly, there is a theory that states there were actually two Excaliburs. Therefore, I decided to recreate two swords and make them dual swords. Personally, I believe these dual swords, Excalibur, are the strongest.
By the way, the others are:
Fel [Chain]
Yuma [Axe]
Lulu [Gun]
Garga [Fist]
Horus [Bow]
Ali [Staff]
Lafia [Katana]
All ten of us possess legendary weapons, making us the strongest group. I created those myself, so I’m quite proud of it.
Now, let’s return to reality.
“Why are you still holding my hand?”
After entering the dungeon, Alma and Lafia were still holding my hand. Fortunately, the cave was spacious, allowing all three of us to move comfortably in a single row.
“It’s… fine, isn’t it?”
“Not really.”
Right now, the goblins haven’t appeared yet, but we won’t be able to fight like this. I wanted to showcase the legendary weapons I created.
“If we continue like this, we’ll end up being eaten by goblins. Don’t you dislike that?”
“Indeed, being eaten by goblins is unpleasant. If I had to be eaten, I’d prefer to be eaten by you, Crow-san…”
Wait, Lafia. That second part was a bit strange, wasn’t it? Why are you blushing?
Well, I don’t eat humans. I don’t eat human flesh, and I have no intention of doing so in the future.
I wonder if it’s because being eaten by me is better than being eaten by goblins? I mean, I think I have a more attractive face than goblins… right?
As we were joking around like that, we arrived in front of a door. The reason why there’s a door deeper in the cave is that there are a large number of goblins ahead. It’s to prevent the goblins from coming out.
The door is securely locked with chains and talismans, so we can’t open it like this.
I held up a special piece of paper given to me by Narsia-san in front of the door. This paper had a special magic on it, and when I presented it, the door opened, serving as a kind of permit.
As I held up the paper, the heavily guarded door creaked open with a loud rumbling sound. Stepping inside, it was dimly lit, and there were things moving around.
The attached items on both sides lit up with flames, illuminating the surroundings. Now I could clearly see what was in front of me.
“Kisha?”
A silhouette resembling a human. It was a goblin with a green body, long ears, and two protruding fangs. There was not just one goblin, but many.
“Kisha?”
“Kisha-Kisha?”
Around thirty goblins turned their attention towards us simultaneously.
It was a sea of goblins as far as the eye could see.
I’m not particularly fond of dealing with large groups…
“Disgusting…!”
The first words were uttered by everyone in unison.
As everyone summoned their weapons, we prepared for battle.
“Well then, let’s put an end to this playtime and finish it quickly.”

“Gyaaaah!!”
“Gugyaaaah!!”
The smell of iron permeated the cave. The floor was stained red, water droplets fell from the walls, and large puddles of blood soaked the ground.
There were numerous goblins in this cave. Normally, this would be a job taken by a group of ten people. However, only three people were present in this situation. With this number, it should take three days, no, even a week…
“Black Flame, Fire!”
A masked young boy quietly chanted as he struck down the goblins. His sword was engulfed in black flames as he sliced through the goblins one after another. Despite the grim situation of taking lives, his swordsmanship was so dazzling and beautiful that it was mesmerizing to watch.
He was Crow, the guild leader. His incredible combat sense couldn’t be expected from his unreliable appearance. It was as if he had transformed into a completely different person.
“Haaaah!”
Effortlessly wielding a spear taller than herself, the high-spirited girl, Alma, slashed through the goblins one after another. Throwing her spear and impaling multiple goblins, it would then return to her in an eternal loop.
“Disgusting. Please die.”
With a disdainful gaze, as if looking at filth, the gentle-hearted girl, Lafia, mercilessly tore through the goblins one by one. In her right hand, she held a gleaming sword, while in her left hand, she wielded a dark as night sword. She fought with a dual sword style, slashing so swiftly that the goblins realized they had been slain only after a delay.
Despite there being well over 100 goblins on each floor, they had ascended to the 9th floor in just a matter of minutes. In a matter of minutes. No, in the span of a single second, how many goblins had they slain?
Even without seeing the goblin corpses disappearing into another dimension, the pools of blood and splatters were evidence of the horrifying number they had taken down.
“It seems we’re almost done with the 9th floor,” murmured a somewhat bored Crow.
It was understandable to feel bored. After all, they had been continuously slaying over 100 goblins.
As they were about to make their way to the final floor, a cry for help echoed.
“Someone, please help meeeeeeee!”
“!!”
A woman’s anguished scream echoed from deep within the cave.
“Hmm…”
Crow looked up at the top floor with an enigmatic gaze.
