My house was pretty close to the restaurant, so I could just walk to the restaurant in the morning. Ken-chan Restaurant opened at 10AM, but I usually went to the restaurant around 8 AM to food prep and everything. 

“I wonder if I will have any customers today…”

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to meet and help a popular idol. My first dungeon livestream was a huge success. However, just because my livestream went viral online, didn’t mean I would have customers lining up to eat at my restaurant. Filled with anxiety, I dragged my feet to the street where my restaurant was located. 

“Hm? What’s this? Why are there so many people on the street this early in the morning?”

I tilted my head in confusion upon seeing a crowd of people, something I never saw before this early in the morning. Maybe there was some sort of event? But in a residential area like this? How unlikely.

“Ah! It’s Ken-san!”

“Ken-san is hereeee!”

“So he’s real.”

As I got closer to my restaurant, the people suddenly started cheering. Everyone was staring at me. 

…Huh? Me?

“I watched your livestream yesterday~”

“You were super cool!”

“Thank you for saving Miku-chan!”

“We’re here to eat at your restaurant!”

“I heard you’re serving high orc and minotaur meat, so I came all the way here from Nagoya!”

“I’m from Kyoto!”

Seriously? It seemed this crowd was made up of people lining up for my restaurant. But there were still two hours before the opening time though? I glanced around it there were probably around 30 people gathered and the number just kept on growing. 

“Oi, oi, quiet down. Let’s be considerate of the neighbors. We need to line up quietly.”

“Make sure to keep the road clear so we’re not in the way.”

“We should probably split the line here and the rest can line up on the other side of the road.”

“I think we will need to start using the ticket system.”

Some people were starting to organize the queue. 

“M-M-My restaurant… Actually has customers..! And so many of them…!”

My eyes started to well up and before I knew it, tears were already streaming down my cheeks. I wiped them away with my fist and…

“I will try to open the restaurant as soon as possible, so please wait for me!”

I hurriedly ran into my restaurant. 

“Take your time!”

“I’m willing to wait patiently, even if I have to wait for hours!”

“Good luck!”

With those encouraging voices behind me, I sped through the preparations to open the restaurant.

On that day, customers came flooding the shop. It was as if the deserted restaurant I had to endure didn’t even exist in the first place. By the time I opened the door, there were already nearly a hundred people waiting. I served them all, but even then, the customers wouldn’t stop coming, especially during the lunch rush. The rush hour finally started to dissipate by late afternoon, but then a new wave of customers were already coming for dinner. Almost everyone ordered the hamburg set meal and I quickly sold out 200 servings that I originally planned on serving. Fortunately, I still had plenty of meat in stock, so I quickly raised the limit to 500 servings. I worked almost non-stop until the restaurant closed at 9 PM. After I sent off the last customer, I finally collapsed onto the floor. Dead tired, but at the same time, I was filled with a sense of accomplishment. 

“I-I DID ITTTTTT!!”

I raised both hands to the ceiling and shouted in joy. In just one day, I had around 600 customers. With an average of 1.7000 yen per person, I had made over one million yen in sales.
