After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine

Miyuki was embarrassed and ashamed to the point that the destruction of this world didn’t seem haunting to her.

Her personal collection was seen by the person whose pictures she had been storing in it.

When she saw Hiroto registering his fingerprint in her secondary phone as well, she knew this incident might occur. But what could have done? As her lover, it was natural to have his free access to her belongings right? She also has the right to access everything he possesses.

But now….he…he has seen all that! Those pictures of his well-sculpted neck and adorable sleeping face….he knows that she takes his pictures at such random moments. Now, won’t he be cautious around her?

“Bwahh!!” She cried out loud before dashing towards the house. Tears stained her cheeks as she entered inside and encountered her mother.

“Miyu-chan?” Yuki was naturally shocked to see her daughter, who generally doesn’t show much emotion on her face, currently wailing like this.

Like a drowning person has found a shore, Miyuki clung to her mother and began to sob even more.

Yuki was surprised but she embraced her child and tenderly rubbed her back, “Tell me what happened, Miyu-chan? Did you fight with Hiroto-kun?”

Yuki has long understood that the only person who can bring out such vivid emotions from Miyuki is Hiroto.

Hearing that name made Miyuki wail out even more, “Mamaaaa….he knows! He knows now!”

Yuki couldn’t discern what she was saying between her sobs but she continued to console her daughter and patted her back to comfort her.

Slowly, Miyuki began to fall asleep while standing. Her sobbing receded as Yuki glanced at the maid nearby and with her help she carried Miyuki to the sofa.

Once the girl was comfortably laid down, Yuki asked the maid who accompanied Miyuki to school, “What happened?”

The maid immediately answered, “It seems Hiroto-sama has seen her collection.”

Yuki gasped as she turned towards the maid and confirmed, “That collection?”

The maid nodded—much to Yuki’s fright.

Yuki was aware that Miyuki had a separate phone to store Hiroto’s pictures since she had seen her taking pictures secretly of Hiroto when he came to the Shirogane mansion.

Staring at her daughter Yuki couldn’t help but whisper under her breath,

“This surely has gotten problematic….”

“Here is your coffee.” Although the nurse said to not fight the headache with a coffee, Kaori couldn’t refuse those droopy eyes of Yuichi.

She just couldn’t resist.

Around seven they have returned to Yuichi’s home. Kaori booked a cab and took the responsibility of transporting Yuichi safe and sound back to his residence.

She has called her sister to inform her that she would return late, and having such a great ally at home proves to be helpful.

“Thanks.” Yuichi flashed a soft smile before he got up and rested his back against the headboard of the bed. He took the cup from her and took a sip after blowing over it twice.

“It’s good. I never knew the coffee I have at home can be used to make this kind of coffee as well.” Yuichi praises upon tasting the milk coffee with a lot of frothy foam.

Although Yuichi doesn’t like to add milk to his coffee, having Kaori make him something couldn’t possibly taste bad.

Silence ensued between them as Yuichi stared at the wall opposite him, blankly.

“Yu-kun….are you worried about them?” Kaori could sense that Yuichi wasn’t here even though he physically was.

“A lot of things happened today, no?” Yuichi glanced at the girl to whom he confessed this morning. So many events have occurred that he almost forgot what happened in the morning.

“And what happened with Minami is one of those things,” Kaori added.

Yuichi hummed before he asked, “Do you think they would be alright?” Yuichi has told Kaori about the Minami and Satomi’s situation which is why he could converse with her about it freely.

Kaori remained silent for a moment before responding, “Given the circumstances, I think not.”

Yuichi’s shoulders tensed at that. Although he knew that things were going to turn awful between Minami and Satomi’s parents, hearing it from Kaori made him feel even more apprehensive.

“Yu-kun…should I try to ask them? I mean, you surely cannot move much in this situation and given their circumstances, they might not answer your call as well.”

Hearing Kaori’s suggestion, Yuichi’s brows elevated, “But, don’t you dislike Minami? Why would you try to intervene in this matter?”

Kaori dryly chuckled, “I dislike her since she is someone I consider a rival in love, but I can’t bear to see you this anxious.”

Yuichi heaved a sigh as he held her hand gently. Kaori is such a great girl.

However, “You can’t, Kaori. I have promised Minami and Satomi that I won’t ever tell anyone about their parents’ situation to anyone else.”

“Then what can we do? There isn’t anyone who can investigate their matter other than you.” Kaori frowned and spoke in a helpless voice.

Yuichi blinked innocently before saying, “Actually…there is someone who can help.”

Kaori tilted her head with her frown disappearing as she asked, “Who?”

Yuichi grinned before he told her, “My brother from another mother.”

“No.” Hiroto didn’t even hear the full request that Yuichi was about to make before declining.

[But-]

“Because of you, Miyuki is already angry with me. I won’t do anything that can annoy her further.” Hiroto spat mercilessly while doing push-ups in his room.

The phone, which was on the speaker, turned silent for some seconds before Yuichi spoke again and this time, in a much softer tone,

[Hiro…you know how much Satomi loves her new mother. She has been always alone since childhood and barely got to know the warmth of a mother….are you really that heartless to let her get abandoned again? I didn’t raise you to be like this, my friend.]

Hiroto nearly slipped while pushing himself, upon hearing the bastard’s words.

“The fuck?! You raised me?”

[…I mean…well, don’t focus on the details and please help me out this time. I swear I will beg Shirogane-san to forgive you.]

Hiroto scoffed after he got up from the floor, “Yeah, yeah, whatever.”

There was silence from the other side as Hiroto heaved a sigh and thought about it.

Indeed the case with Minami and Satomi couldn’t be left unmonitored. Originally Yuichi was supposed to find out the details of the matter, but now that bastard is lying half-dead on the bed.

‘Tch, this useless protagonist…’

After exhaling a loud sigh, he replied,

“Fine, I will talk to them.”
