In the game, I don’t remember if there was someone named Ryuuske introduced.

By this time in the plot, Miyuki was smitten by Yuichi so it was quite possible for her to get rid of any pursuer behind the scenes without allowing that guy to have any plot time. Or is it that, now I am experiencing this fictional world as a reality, new characters and incidents might show up?

Most likely.

If I take my assumption into consideration, then in the future as well, some background characters or minor antagonists might cause some trouble which shall change the course of the story.

‘…well, those things can wait for later. My concern currently is on that blond creature…’ I couldn’t help but clench my fist as I remembered the way he was standing so close to my Hime.

To call Miyuki by her name so intimately…this calls a punishment.

“Hiro? Are you still worried about Ryuuske-kun?”

Miyuki’s voice broke my daze as I looked down at her.

We were currently sitting in the bathtub with her back pressed against my chest.

Her naked form was glistening in the water and those red marks I had left on her body made me experience the emotion called ‘guilty pleasure’.

“That person…it seems he doesn’t see you only as a friend,” I stated the reason for my concern.

I, up to a decent extent, can read people’s thoughts by their behavior and reactions. And the moment Miyuki declared me as her lover back in the cafe, that blond wannabe foreigner, showed displeasure and left in a hurry soon after.

“How about I block his contacts after telling him to never meet me? I can even tell Mom that I don’t want to hang out with that person so she doesn’t call them over when I am around.”

Miyuki’s way of addressing went from ‘Ryuuske’ to ‘that person’ in an instant. It shows that she respects my likes and dislikes.

God…I love her.

“Just don’t meet him in person. I can’t trust anyone if it’s about you.”

My arms wrapped around her belly and my head rested on her shoulder. Although we washed ourselves with the same body wash that was given in the motel, she smelled a lot more nicer.

Her soft caressing of my cheeks followed by her gentle words, comforted me a lot.

“Don’t worry. I won’t do anything that Hiro-kun doesn’t want me to.”

[Yuichi’s POV:]

*Grrrr*

I was…sipping on something while watching something.

What was I drinking? I don’t know. What was I looking at? Beats me.

After Kaori left my house, I just couldn’t calm myself down so I checked the internet and found the most liked result to be;

[Drink something soothing and allow your eyes to gaze at something comfortable.]

As such I am currently watching a show on the TV without even being aware of its name.

“Haah….this isn’t helping at all…”

I slumped on the couch and heaved a heavy sigh. The last message I sent to Hiroto remained unseen which means he either didn’t find my text important or he was with Shirogane-san.

‘…he told me to not do anything about Kaori….but it’s kinda impossible to not do anything.’

Kaori was someone close to me. She has been always kind toward me despite my unlikable personality. We recently faced an incident which I think helped us to grow closer. And because of that incident, I got to know her true feelings for me.

Although I was conflicted about the confession, it was a fact that I liked Kaori…more than just as a friend.

And suddenly, this situation with Ikeda Minami occurred.

‘…she was crying a lot…and even swatted my hand away…’ When I tried to wipe her tears she slapped my hand and shouted something like, ‘Don’t touch me!’

I wasn’t agitated but depressed. I thought I had gained enough self-control to not get seduced easily. After all, I have spent numerous years of my life with a very beautiful girl named Tojou Hanabi.

But alas…

*Bzzz*

‘Hmm?’ I was surprised to see the same person calling me, about whom I was just thinking.

Picking the call, I said, “Hey, Hanabi.”

[Yu…where are you?]

My brows knitted closer hearing her serious tone.

Hanabi has an easygoing and fun-loving personality. That’s why it becomes clear when she is really apprehensive and when she is joking around.

And right now, Hanabi was anxious about something.

“What’s the matter?”

I got up from the couch and approached the floor-to-ceiling window.

[Someone with the name, Takeda Hiroto is your friend right?]

My frown tensed up but my response was quick,

“Yes…what about him?”

There was a brief silence from the other side and the very thin sound of her typing something on perhaps her laptop reached my ears.

[I have sent you details about a person who hired thirty men just a few minutes ago. I have not the full information whether this would be an attempt to murder or just threatening or whatever, but the target is certain.]

My hold on the phone tightened as I asked, “Hiroto?”

[…yes. I have checked information related to him but still please verify it yourself.]

I detached the phone and opened the folder she sent in my email.

…the target indeed was Hiroto.

“Why a civilian is being targeted all of a sudden, Hanabi?” As long as I remember, Hiroto hasn’t done anything that could harbor such ill intent from some bastard.

Or was this related to what happened back a month ago…when Hiroto saved Shirogane-san?

It was quite unlikely given that the gang was nearly destroyed by an anomaly two weeks ago.

The…who?

[I am uncertain of their reason but their intention is clear. If you want I can hack into the public surveillance and check whether Hiroto and that person have come in contact recently.]

I responded without thinking twice, “Please do.”

[Mm, okay. And please don’t do anything reckless. I will provide you backup, alright?]

I didn’t respond verbally and just hummed. Even if she said back up, I wasn’t going to burden Hanabi anymore.

The connection between her father and me has long severed and gaining any big favor from her might get noticed by her father. And I wanted to avoid such a possibility.

[Alright then…I will-]

“Ah, Hanabi. Is there someone who mutually knows the contractor and Hiroto?”

Maybe if I can get any clue then I would start my own investigation and protect Hiroto when the time comes.

However, the name Hanabi said in response was kind of unexpected,

[It seems the only child of Shirogane Souma—Shirogane Miyuki’s childhood friend is targeting Miyuki’s current boyfriend…that is Hiroto-kun.]

….now this clears up many things.
