After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 31- Injured?
Hiroto had a rough day today. A lot of events happened in a single day, and he didn’t get to spend time with Miyuki much because of that.
By the time he got done with the ‘preparations,’ it was already late night ten. After all, he had to create a situation where Hiroto went to enquire about Satomi without letting her know directly. Although he knew where she worked, he needed to let her know that Hiroto, who was a close friend of Yuichi, had come looking for her. It would mentally prepare her for the worst from Yuichi.
It was all connected with a thread.
“Damn…I should have taken the power bank.” Hiroto didn’t notice when his phone turned off because of the low battery. And not to talk about that there was no convenience store en route where he could have charged his phone.
‘I wonder if Miyuki would have texted me…’ His relationship with the said girl was complicated. While Hiroto was head over heels for the girl, Miyuki still had lingering feelings for Yuichi—much to Hiroto’s annoyance.
If only the Goddess wouldn’t have been so invested in Yuichi…
‘I should head home now.’ Throwing away the needless contemplation, Hiroto began sprinting toward the only house in the society that had its entrance lights, still on.
From far away, he could see the silhouette of his father, looking in his direction.
‘Now…this is gonna be a little troublesome…’

After consuming some scolding and food, Hiroto was finally allowed to return to his room at nearly eleven.
Although his Dad tried defending him, he only came in front once his mother began to cry. The half an hour of scolding went unhindered.
Hiroto felt bad for worrying his mother, but it wasn’t the first time he would be staying out late; as such he was thinking of telling them about his plans for a part-time job.
‘She surely gonna say no……’ Hiroto sighed as he made his way upstairs.
He connected his phone to the charger before making his way to the bathroom. Being together with Yuichi has left some scent of stale fish on him as well.
Generally, Hiroto would have liked a long warm bath after all the hassle he went through to keep the plot on track. However, he was eager to call Miyuki before midnight, since she sleeps early.
He quickly finished showering before walking out of the bathroom in just a towel; tied around his waist.
Long pressing the power button, it took less than half a minute before he finally was able to see the notifications….only to find his eyes widening in shock.
[42 Missed calls, 108 messages.]
…all of them were from Miyuki.
Hiroto hurriedly called her without checking the texts.
However,
[The person you are calling is out of the coverage area…]
Hiroto disconnected the call and tried again…and again. However, the call wasn’t going through at all.
Finally, he began scrolling through some of her recent chats to know whether everything was fine.
[I already apologized for what I said! Can’t you be a little forgiving?!]
[Seriously, why are you so childish to become jealous over something like that?]
[Why aren’t you texting me back?]
[I know I was being rude but please, even if you want to shout at me, pick up the phone.]
[Talk to me, Hiroto.]
[I swear I will never talk about Yuichi-kun again.]
[Are you alright? Have you had dinner?]
[I was expecting you in my room but you weren’t here. I feel sad…]
[Pick up the phone, already!]
[Alright, I am coming over.]
..
Hiroto could sense how her emotional wavelength was varying after every five to six texts. One time, she was shouting at him and another time, she was apologizing. Suddenly, she became all normal by asking him about dinner and all, and sometimes it was her truthful self describing what she was expecting.
However, what concerned Hiroto the most was the last text he received from her.
Hiroto instantly went to another app and located where Miyuki currently was. He has implanted a tracker in her blood so that he could track her from anywhere.
“Huh?!” Looking at her location, Hiroto was greatly shocked.
However, he soon calmed himself down and opened the window of his room before sneaking out.
He needed to see her, right now!

Miyuki was in distress.
Well, she has been like this for some days now…and unsurprisingly it was all because of a single person.
The person who became her savior. Then professed his love for her. Then made himself so involved in her life that Miyuki was influenced by his feelings. And now, she couldn’t stop thinking about him.
Although Miyuki wasn’t stubborn and obsessive over things in general, for Hiroto, things were different. When she wants to talk to him, she just wants it right now. And because he was refusing to meet her or answer her calls, she decided to take the reigns in her hands and meet him the same way, he usually does.
However, Miyuki didn’t consider the risk of climbing down from her room window using her tied-up clothes, like how Disney princesses do.
She ended up hurting herself and alerting everyone.
“Seriously, what in the world were you thinking by throwing yourself off from your window, Miyuki.” Her mother, who seldom leaves the house, was also present in the hospital along with her father.
The small crack in her ankle would take a little more than a month to recover and the plaster would be done tonight. Currently, her leg is wrapped in padding to provide comfort.
Her mother had tears staining her eyes and her nose had already turned red. The funny part, the injured one hasn’t shed any tears until now.
“It could have cost you more than just a fracture, Miyuki.” Her father’s stern tone made her steal her gaze away as Miyuki tried reaching toward her mum and calm her down.
However, before she could have moved even a bit, the sound of someone crashing against the door she was admitted in, resonated—alarming her father in an instant.
“George? Who is there?”
Suddenly, the door was parted, to not reveal the bodyguard, Souma had stationed at the entrance. Rather, it was a fairly tall young man with raven hair that entered the hospital room.
“Hiroto…”
