After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 29- She isn\'t the one
Yuichi was not just only a handsome face with a tall height. He also was good at sports and studies. In short, a perfect guy that any girl could fall for.
His presence oozed with attractive charm, and his indifference toward people whom he doesn’t know, make him pleasing even more.
Naturally, in these past two years of high school, Yuichi has received a lot of confessions from both males and females. However, being certain about his decisions and plans, Yuichi didn’t entertain the idea of dating anyone.
In the first place, the form of an ideal relationship he sought, requires trust and genuine love for each other. That’s why the thought of dating a near stranger, seemed unworthy in his eyes.
As such, Yuichi has declined a lot of confessions in the past, making people either antagonize him or elevate their liking toward him.
The person who called out to Yuichi through the letter seemed to be belonging to the former group.
This blond girl whose name, Yuichi remembered to be, Ikeda Satomi, was standing at the place where she invited Ryuuji. But in place of confession, what Ryuuji received was buckets of trash water mixed with the malodor of rotten fish.
He didn’t know who her accomplice was but the moment Yuichi stood before her, buckets of foul-smelling liquid were thrown over him from the terrace. And not only that, even Satomi was hiding a bucket for herself, which she threw at Yuichi, the moment he was distracted.
“So…this was what you wanted to tell me…” While ignoring the laughter and flashes of cameras all around him, Yuichi asked—without bothering to wipe the gooey liquid off his face or body.
His tone was cold and serene as always, however, the subtle glint of exasperation was evident for anyone who looked at him closely.
In response Satomi stood there, lips sealed. She wasn’t laughing like others nor did she take pictures of her target
“He got trapped, finally! That cocky bastard deserved to be humbled!”
“Yuck! How disgusting he smells. I can’t even look at him anymore~”
“I can’t believe I was hoping to date someone as stupid as this guy. Lame~”
“This seems like a makeover for someone as trashy as you, Yuichi-kun~”
Yuichi didn’t bother listening to others as he waited for Satomi’s response. However, upon not hearing anything from her, he decided to leave.
Since Kaori had already left for her house, because of some work, Yuichi intends to ask Hiroto’s help to bring him something to wear.
However, just as he turned around, he found a familiar black-haired female walking in his direction with a worried visage.
She was the student council president, Ikeda Minami; Satomi’s sister.
“Let me help you ” After glaring at her sister, Minami began to wipe Yuichi’s hand with the towel she borrowed from the infirmary.
Yuichi was so messed up that he didn’t stop her from helping, rather he extended his arms for her to clean them.
“I am sorry for what she did…actually, I ask your forgiveness for everyone’s behavior. I didn’t know people could be this toxic these days.” Minami’s blue eyes wavered with the emotion of both remorse and agitation flashing in them.
Minami’s anger was evidently directed toward her sister and all the people laughing at Yuichi, however, all Yuichi felt at this moment was confusion.
Although he was not much affected by the foul smell he was permeating, that shouldn’t be the same for Minami. Under normal circumstances, anyone would have avoided Yuichi in his current condition, yet there was not a single sign of disgust on Minami’s face as she wiped Yuichi.
“Thank you, I will take care of it. ” Even though she didn’t show it, it was inevitable for Minami to struggle against the awful smell so he took the towel from her before he made his way toward the water station near the playground.
What Yuichi failed to notice was the smile Minami was directing at his back, which was borderline unhealthy and somewhat terrifying from a general perspective.
‘Hehe~everything according to the plan…’

Hiroto saw everything transpire with an indifferent gaze. Naturally, under normal circumstances, he wouldn’t have abandoned his friend in need, but Hiroto wasn’t a fool to disturb a canon event.
Satomi was seen as the main planner for this incident however, this wasn’t the case.
‘She also can be regarded as a yandere character, but a degree less than Miyuki…’ Hiroto sighed, as he remembered the fate that may have waited for Minami if only Hiroto hadn’t intervened in a pre-canon event and diverted Miyuki’s affection toward himself.
Canonically, being obsessed with Yuichi it was given that Miyuki would set her target on Minami first…leading the raven-haired to her demise. In another scenario, Hiroto catches Miyuki before something happens to Minami, and in the end, Yuichi abandons Miyuki—leading to an entirely different route filled with blood and tears.
Thankfully, nothing that sort of would happen and if things go as they should, then both Minami and Satomi would end up falling for Yuichi.
Everything was going fine as it should be.

After Yuichi cleaned himself somehow, he asked Hiroto to bring his gym clothes.
“Want me to report the teacher?” As Hiroto stood while facing Yuichi—who was in the process of changing his clothes—he asked in an uncertain voice.
However, “No, don’t. I have a feeling that Satomi-san wasn’t the one behind the incident.” Yuichi’s tone was firm and devoid of any malice, even though he was ridiculed by the school, because of her.
“Hmm? Isn’t she the one who invited you there?” Hiroto asked, despite knowing the answer to that.
And as he expected, Yuichi’s answer suggested otherwise, “I know that is the case…but still, there is something wrong here. It feels like Satomi-san was forcing herself to do that.”
Hearing Yuichi’s words, Hiroto shrugged before responding, “Regardless, call me if you need my help.”
Yuichi nodded, and just before Hiroto was about to leave he called out, “Hiro…is there any way to talk with Satomi-san out of the school?”
Knowing how Hiroto’s circle was spread across the school, Yuichi could only depend on him.
Hiroto remained silent at that, before a sigh seeped through his parted lips, “I will do what I can.”

After leaving the school Hiroto walked down the street alone, with his phone connected to his ear.
The only person who could bring a smile to his face even though he was just talking about trivial stuff, was none other than Miyuki.
“So, you have piano class today?”
[In the evening…let’s meet tomorrow after school.]
Maybe she sensed what he wanted or Miyuki herself wanted to see Hiroto, as she suggested. Due to her busy schedule, she could barely take some time for herself.
The brief silence was broken when Miyuki suddenly asked,
[What about Yuichi-kun? Is he fine now?]
There was slight concern in her voice and also, in the afternoon, Miyuki looked slightly worried about all the chaos being centered at Yuichi—bringing a frown over Hiroto’s face.
“You seem rather curious about him?” Even though he tried, the harshness in his voice couldn’t be hidden.
There was a short silence from the other end before the melodious chime of the silver head arrived,
[Someone is jealous, I suppose. See, how quickly the table turns~]

A/N:- Yuichi and Miyuki had a past that brought her to the point where she fell for him. With Hiroto’s interference, it was inevitable for her views to change. However, it isn’t like things between Miyuki and Yuichi would subdue all of a sudden.
