After rebirth, I confessed to the losing heroine - Chapter 113- Strange dream
“Anata…are you sure about this?” While softly patting her daughter’s head, Yuki asked her husband.
Miyuki had a slipping pill and an anti-depressant before she finally fell asleep on her mother’s lap. Hiroto was also present in the Shirogane mansion but he was in a different room.
Souma sat just across the duo while continuously staring at his daughter.
“What?” After a moment of silence, Souma asked.
Yuki had trouble raising this topic now, but she felt she wouldn’t get another chance, so she asked, “To let them live together? Both of them are young and have many things to achieve. And if by chance they end up committing something for which they aren’t prepared for…”
Souma didn’t have to ask what his wife was worried about. Letting two teenagers who had barely turned eighteen was a huge risk, given there was a possibility of Miyuki ending up getting pregnant even before the marriage.
However, “Did you see how our daughter looked like when Hiroto brought her here?”
Yuki’s heart trembled when she remembered those fearful eyes of Miyuki who was clinging to Hiroto like he was her only lifeline and without him, she would no longer exist.
Heaving a sigh, Souma added, “Hiroto has become her obsession. She could no longer be without him. And her feelings have reached such a point where going against her wishes to be with Hiroto could lead her to hate us.”
Turning towards Yuki, Souma uttered in a low tone, “And I can endure anything but can’t bear to get separated from my family.”
Yuki held his hand to comfort him.
Souma gently took his wife’s hand as his gaze fell back on Miyuki, and some words left his lips, “If she desires Hiroto, then I would ensure that no one can separate them.”
******
That night, Hiroto had a restless sleep.
He was having a dream of his previous world.
Sitting inside that same classroom where he was taught the vitals of a human and how to slaughter them with minimal resources.
He wasn’t the only one in the classroom but surely he seemed the most restless one.
He wasn’t supposed to be here…back when his life didn’t have any motive other than taking orders and acting based on it.
He now has a beautiful present and someone he wants to spend his life with.
“Noir, remain quiet and seated.” The voice of the instructor who was teaching the students echoed in the classroom, and Hiroto found himself getting stared at by every student.
He was suddenly put in a corner; surrounded by them. They all were whispering things about him. Mocking and even blaming.
‘Look at him, being all happy and cheerful.’
‘Does he think he has escaped his reality?’
‘The agent with the most heads count? How can he even sleep at night?’
‘He is the worst.’
Those words didn’t bother him. He has heard worse. What annoyed Hiroto was the realness of this situation. He had heard children whispering about him back then, and now, after so long, he was once again forced to face his past.
“—–!” Amidst the faceless heads of the students, Hiroto’s eyes caught the figure of a girl—the only one whose face was visible, and currently, she wore a very sinister smile.
Hiroto ignored others and asked the girl in a low tone, “Who are you?” He had a feeling that this was no mere dream. He couldn’t be drugged so this was nothing but another magical sh*t happening.
“You are one remarkable human. Unaffected with what others could deem traumatizing for them.” The girl giggled after her words—her curly black hair bouncing over her shoulders.
Hiroto narrowed his eyes and tread through the children before standing up before the girl. His eyes never showed a hint of apprehension. Only one person can make him worried and she was also the reason for his happiness. Unless things don’t get to her, there remains barely anything else that can trouble him.
“I don’t find jokes funny these days.”
“Heee~but I thought you would at least appreciate how finely I crafted your dream.”
Hiroto rolled his eyes, “Does applauding here grant me candy or something?”
“Tell me, is candy the only thing you desire?”
Hiroto’s gaze sharpened at that. The mysterious smile on the black-haired girl’s face suddenly spoke various things and Hiroto was now curious.
The girl again giggled as Hiroto suddenly found the surroundings melting into nothingness and the only thing he could clearly perceive was her voice,
“It would be fun meeting you again, human~”

“Haah!” Hiroto sprang from his bed and stood on his feet while sweating profusely.
There was no pain and he was still in the Shirogane mansion in Japan. He was still Hiroto, and after checking the date, he sighed in relief.
Rubbing his messy hair, he muttered, “These days, even sleeping is not peaceful…I want Miyuki to recharge myself.”

Yuichi currently was frowning quite deeply as he sat in the cafe where Satomi worked. He was invited here today.
Hiroto canceled the meeting yesterday since Miyuki was sick, and they were supposed to meet today. The stress relating to Hanabi’s matter was something with which only Hiroto could help.
*Dhak*
Suddenly, a cup was planted on the table before Satomi’s voice reached him, “Sorry for making you wait.”
She sat down across from him while wearing her casual clothes, signifying she came here with all her free time to chat about the matter for which she called him
However, before she could have begun, Yuichi asked her in a heavy tone, “What’s with the message you sent me?”
Satomi raised her brows in surprise before asking him, “Why are you so upset?”
“Why shouldn’t I? You asked me for tips to make Hiroto fall for you. Aren’t you getting the hints from him to not bother him?” Yuichi asked in a clearly annoyed tone.
Satomi just couldn’t understand the simple fact that, unlike him, Hiroto was not into the idea of having a polygamous relationship, and he wouldn’t even think of dating any other girl than Miyuki.
Satomi’s face darkened before she asked him, “How can you be so sure that Hiroto won’t fall for me? I can’t be sure until I don’t try.”
Yuichi heaved a sigh. This was enough.
Taking out his phone, he called Hiroto, and despite Satomi’s panic, he told him, “Hiro, there is something Satomi-san wants to talk to you.”
“Yes, can you come over? Great.” Disconnecting the call, Yuichi was met by a furious Satomi but it didn’t make him flinch as the silver head uttered,
“Let him come and tell you how he feels about you in person.”
*********
A/N:- Yuichi is possibly saving her life. I took my time to think this through whether I want to move on this route or not. And in the end, I decided this is for the best.
