After Reaching the Happy Ending, I Was Locked up by the Extremely Possessive Heroines I Had Conquered - Chapter 0: Prologue
Chapter 0: Prologue
To be honest, the chances of reaching a happy ending were slim to none.
The reason? The world I reincarnated into was a depressing game.
‘Black Tide, Great Serpent, Island of Prayers’
Set on the isolated island of Black Tide Island in Shikoku, this game takes place in a paradise-like setting adorned with beautiful seas and vast nature. It’s a story about interacting with heroines who have unique circumstances—or so it seems on the surface, but it’s actually a depressing game in disguise.
There’s no such thing as a sparkling daily life. The story is filled with unrelenting, hopeless tales bound by the island’s insular values: traditions, curses of mysterious disappearances, endemic diseases, and the bloodlines of the three ruling families.
Why is it so hopeless?
Because you’re forced to choose just one heroine.
There are three heroines.
Mahiru Akiyoshi, a younger sister—not by blood—who’s been living with me since we were young.
Toa Watarase, a junior who grew up in the island’s orphanage. She’s usually cunning but craves love more than anyone.
Satori Jindaiji, the daughter of the head of one of the island’s three ruling families and the next in line to lead. She’s the main heroine, serving as the island’s shrine maiden, tasked with protecting it.
Each of them is tormented by the island’s discrimination, loneliness, and curses, and in the original game, they always meet tragic ends.
Even in the individual routes, and especially in the true ending, you can only choose one heroine, abandoning the others. In other words, there’s no such thing as a happy ending in this story.
But I couldn’t accept that future.
Having cleared every route, I believed I could change the game’s ending. I was determined to overturn their tears and despair and save them all.
I chose an option that didn’t exist in the original game.
And I succeeded.
I broke the island’s traditions, saved the heroines’ hearts, and finally reached a happy ending where everyone was saved.
Or so I thought.
“You promised, didn’t you, big brother? That you’d stay by my side forever.”
“Please don’t abandon me, senpai.”
“We swore to live together on this island until we die.”
Their voices were sweet, so sweet, yet heavy.
It seems that, as the price for saving them, the heroines have become unhinged.
This is the story of what comes after the happy ending.
It’s the tale of how, after reaching the ending, I find myself trapped by the intensely obsessive heroines I saved.
