- Chapter 16 - Kaede Gets Jealous
Kaede Gets Jealous
I had shivered when I saw Noda’s business card, but the sight of Kaede standing behind me out of nowhere sent a tremor through me that far surpassed it.
She was scary. Terrifyingly so. Her skin was taut and white as snow, yet a pitch-black aura enveloped her.
She was still in her gym uniform with her hair in a ponytail. Even the pure white uniform seemed stained black. There was no strong wind, yet her ponytail swayed and floated as if alive.
Her eyes, harboring darkness, shone with that very darkness. It was contradictory, but her gaze was terrifyingly beautiful all the same.
“Huh, Kaede…? Weren’t you in class…?”
“It already ended, though?”
Oh, she was right. When I glanced inside the gymnasium, everyone had left.
Kaede approached me slowly.
Her eyes were seriously scary. Please stop with those eyes. Even my son, who was always putty for Kaede, had his scrotum shriveled up tight right now.
“You were talking to a girl, Ryoma.”
“Y-Yeah…”
“Wasn’t she the same girl you talked to before?”
“Y-Yeah.”
“Why are you talking to her again?”
“Kaede, calm down first.”
“I’m calm, though?”
Her eyes were those of a killer. I couldn’t exactly say that, though.
“There’s nothing shady about it. She was skipping class and bored, so I just kept her company for a bit.”
“What’s that paper you’re holding? Let me see it.”
Crap!
My hand still clutched the business card Noda had given me.
I tried to hand it over as she asked, but Kaede snatched it away in a flash. Her movement was so quick I couldn’t even track it with my eyes.
“Why did you even take a business card from her? And from the Noda Group, no less—our rival company, our natural enemy.”
Kaede tore the card to shreds without mercy.
“You can’t just ignore someone offering you their card. Don’t underestimate a businessman.”
The habit from my salaryman days kicked in—I had bowed deeply and accepted it. That reflex wouldn’t fade anytime soon. Sad that I was long fired, yet it lingered.
“She just finds me novel since I’m the only guy at school. Hey, stop getting so mad over me just chatting with a girl.”
“…Yeah, sorry. I know you’re not at fault, Ryoma. But it pisses me off so much just seeing you talk to another girl. I can’t control my emotions, and it makes me insanely irritated… Ah, this is so annoying…!!”
Kaede clutched her head and thrashed her ponytail of long hair wildly.
Scary, scary. She looked like a character from a horror movie who had snapped.
“I know it’s unreasonable to bring you into a place full of girls and then tell you not to talk to any of them… But I can’t stand being apart from you, so I wanted you as close as possible—that’s why I brought you to this school.
Please, Ryoma, try not to get involved with other girls as much as you can. I’m begging you…”
Kaede leaned in close. Way too close.
Light had returned to her eyes. They gleamed beautifully, filled with a holy glow.
She was right after PE class, sweaty, and now she was this close.
Her scent was intoxicating, making my head spin…
Why did she smell so good even after sweating? This was foul play. Or maybe it was precisely because she was sweating that she smelled this good? Did it amp up the pheromones that drove men wild?
When I sweat, I reeked—stinky, super stinky—yet here was this gap. What the hell?
Or rather…! I noticed something even more outrageous.
Her white gym uniform was see-through from the sweat! Her bra was visible! Kaede’s bra was light blue.
Her ample breasts loomed so close they nearly brushed me, the transparent bra, her meltingly sweet scent, her moist eyes staring straight at me in plea. And fresh from exercise, her breathing was a bit ragged and feverish, which only made her more alluring.
Everything about Kaede’s presence stimulated my lust intensely. Sexual excitement surged to its peak, melting the depths of my brain. My important son, shriveled just moments ago, sprang back to life in an instant.
“Gh…! O-Okay, I get it, just… too close…!”
Dangerous! This was really dangerous! My rationality was on the verge of shattering. I flailed my hands desperately, like waving a white flag of surrender.
Kaede finally backed off. The pounding in my chest was obscene; I had to press my hand against it.
“Hah, hah… You don’t have to worry that much, Kaede. You’re talking like I’m some heartthrob with girls, but it’s the total opposite.
Girls look at me like I’m some deviant and steer clear. No one approaches me. No one gives me the time of day. So there’s nothing for you to worry about.”
Somehow, saying it out loud made me feel sad.
“But that girl just now…”
“Noda seems a bit eccentric. So far, she’s the only girl besides you who’s even spoken to me.”
“…Noda Tsubaki… Class 3-H at Hoshimitsuin Academy…”
She knew the name and class just from seeing her face. Did she have data on every student memorized…?
“Noda Tsubaki… The lady from a rival company, getting close to you… I should add her to the Nakajo Group’s blacklist.”
Kaede muttered that as she typed something into her phone, her expression utterly terrifying.
“Hey, you don’t need to do that…”
“No way. My instincts say that girl’s dangerous.”
Really…? She seemed like a nice girl to me.
Well, best not to mention Noda in front of Kaede ever again.
—
That night, at Kaede’s house during dinner time.
I ate my dinner. Yeah, it was delicious.
…Huh? Up until now, Kaede had always done the “ahh” feeding thing during meals, but she wasn’t doing it tonight?
I glanced at Kaede sitting beside me, and she turned her gaze away with a huff.
“…You talked to another girl today, Ryoma, so no ‘ahh’ feeding tonight.”
She said that, puffing out her cheeks a little.
I didn’t mind skipping the feeding, but Kaede being jealous was too cute.
I wanted to burn this sight into my eyes. Eye candy, pure eye candy.
“Why are you looking so happy? This is supposed to be punishment.”
“Y-Yes…”
Even if it was punishment, cute was still cute.
Well, yeah, I should reflect on it. Even if I didn’t quite get it, when the owner said it was punishment, a pet had to reflect. That’s what being a pet meant.
