Chapter 7: Morning Time (Lovey Dovey)

The next morning. When I opened my eyes, I saw a girl sleeping next to me and she was completely naked. At first, I thought I was hallucinating, but it turned out this sight was as real as it could get. I pinched my cheek with a straight look on my face. It hurt. I gently touched the girl’s wrist and I could immediately feel the warmth of her body temperature. The girl was still sleeping peacefully. 

Is this a dream…?

“Uhehehe…”

I couldn’t stop myself from grinning creepily. 

Yeah. I know. Of course I know. 

Yesterday, I had confined this beautiful stalker in my house. I originally planned on confining her starting from today so I could make herself stop stalking me and yet… Here we were. Houno-san was snoring peacefully next to me, looking very carefree and relaxed.

I did tell her she could use the bed, but I also explicitly told her to never come close to me. I said that to her, loud and clear, but… There she was. She was lying on the hard carpet, wrapped up in the futon from the bed. Furthermore, why was she naked? I remembered she was dressed in proper clothes before going to sleep… We were entering the autumn season, so the weather was getting colder. The night didn’t feel hot, so why did she feel the need to strip herself naked?

I don’t understand it anymore. I don’t understand anything at all.

Gradually, I could feel my body growing hotter. It seemed Houno-san was gradually getting closer to me too. No. To be precise, she was hugging me tighter. 

“Haah… If only you weren’t a stalker… Even though you’re this adorable…”

This feeling… Could it be…?

“…Houno-san? You’re already awake, right…?”

“You know, I hate people who lie or try to deceive me. I hate them more than I hate stalkers.”

With tears in her eyes, Houno-san clung to me even tighter. I could feel a soft and squishy sensation against my chest. The sensation became even more palpable with each passing second. Her hair brushed against my face and for some reason, her hair carried a subtly pleasant scent to it. I was completely powerless under her arms, so I just let everything be. I was at the mercy of Houno-san, who was throwing a fit. 

“Houno-san, it’s a joke. I was just joking, so please. Let me go. I’m begging you.”

“No..! Noooo…! If I let go… A-kun… A-kun will definitely…!! Fueeehhh!!”

“Everything will be fine. J-Just… Oi! Wait…!”

The countdown to the destruction of my rationality had started. She entwined her legs with mine and… Well, it was starting to make me feel something. Even though I was still in bed, but I could feel a certain part of myself standing up.

“Arghhhh! You’re beyond savingggg!!”

While trying to look as casual as possible as I hid my groin with he blanket, I tried to shake Houno-san off me. She was staring blankly into space with the same creepy smile on her face. She seemed to be lost in her own world. I sighed. While being mindful to keep the blanket to hide my crotch, I said to her again. 

“Ho-Houno-san? What I just said before was a joke. Rest assured. I won’t hate you over something like that.”

“…You’re lying…”

“I’m not… A-Also… The words that I said when you were pretending to be asleep… Tho-Those words were my true feelings too…”

“…!!”

Seemingly recalling my words, Houno-san’s ears gradually turned bright red. Her eyes still looked clouded though. She stared at me and her demeanor suddenly shifted to one of confusion. To be honest, I felt like I was going to die from sheer embarrassment. I didn’t know she was listening to me… 

“Tha-That’s why… You don’t need to get so worked up. I-I’ve already decided to help you… I’m going to help you fix your stalking tendency…”

“…Uhehehe….”

A slovenly and undoubtedly happy smile stretched on Houno-san’s face. Albeit still feeling embarrassed, I persisted on. 

“B-But! Just to be clear…!! My definition of ‘like’ to you is completely platonic, okay?! I like you as a friend!! I mean, there’s no way I can enter a serious relationship with my stalker! Not only am I going to put myself in danger, but it feels unethical! I won’t enter a relationship with my stalker, okay?!”

“Tha-That’s why… You really need to stop being a stalker and… A-And then… I mean…”

No. I couldn’t. I couldn’t finish the rest of my words. It was beyond my capacity. I was hitting my limit already. 

Letting out a groan, I wrapped myself tightly in the blanket I was using to hide my groin. I curled up right here and there. I couldn’t even bear to look at Houno-san’s face.

Why am I the one getting all bashful now? This doesn’t make any sense.

“Wha-What is it?”

I replied while still wrapped in the blanket. I realized I was stammering, so I hoped she wouldn’t comment on that.

I accidentally bit my tongue.

“Ugh…!”

Still curled up in the blanket, I bit my lip again.

Things are getting even worse than my expectations. I’m now fighting against myself.
