- Actually, There’s Someone at Your Workplace Who Likes You ~ I’m Being Transferred to a Sales Office Filled With Only Beautiful Women!?
- Chapter 36: Hikawa-san and Her Sister...
◆◇◆◇◆
The next day, Saturday.
I finished my usual weekend routine, like cleaning and laundry, early in the morning, and headed to the promised time at the Superior Café in front of the station.
Even though it was casual clothes, since I wasn’t going out for fun, I went with a safe choice of a polo shirt and chinos.
On the way, I found a stylish patisserie and decided to stop by. They had what looked like an incredibly delicious, high-end pudding. No, the product was labeled “custard pudding”.
This… was pudding, right?
Hmm… I didn’t know, but it looked fancy.
Since Hikawa-san liked pudding, I thought it would be a nice thank-you gift for her today.
So, when I checked the price tag… it was 500 yen for one!
That was expensive!
But, today, she was going out of her way to listen to me on her day off.
I had to be generous, right?
Alright, I’d buy it!
I decided to buy two custard puddings as a gift for Hikawa-san and her sister. Of course, I also bought one for myself to enjoy, but that went without saying.
Just before arriving at the café, I received a short message from Hikawa-san saying, “I’ve arrived, so I’ll go in and wait inside.”
I arrived at the café and looked around the interior.
I spotted two women sitting side by side at a four-person table. It seemed they noticed me too, as one of the women waved her hand at me.
At that moment, I overheard a murmured voice from one of the male customers in the café.
“Is that guy meeting up with that beautiful woman…?”
Sorry for being that guy.
Just as I thought that, I heard the rest of the conversation.
“Ah, I envy that guy…”
Ah, so they were envious of me, huh?
The beautiful woman who waved at me had shiny black long hair and was wearing thin red-framed glasses. It was unmistakably Hikawa-san.
When I met her before, she was in her company uniform.
Today, she wore a neat white blouse, which was still her usual style, but with frills and other designs, making it more fashionable.
Indeed, in her casual clothes, Hikawa-san seemed a little softer than my previous impression, and her beauty stood out even more.
I got it now.
No wonder the male customers around were whispering about how beautiful she was and how envious they were.
She definitely stood out in the café.
As I walked closer to the seat where Hikawa-san was sitting, I noticed the woman sitting next to her.
It was undoubtedly her sister.
The woman had glossy black bobbed hair, thin black-framed glasses, and a sharp, beautiful look.
Huh…?
Aside from the difference in hair length and the glasses being red and black, the two women sitting side by side looked almost identical—two cool, stunning beauties.
When I approached, the Hikawa sisters both stood up together. Both were wearing short, tight skirts, and their long, slender legs were dazzling.
“Hikawa-san, thank you so much for arranging this opportunity! I’m really sorry to take up your time on your day off.”
As I bowed, Hikawa-san smiled warmly and introduced her sister who was standing beside her.
“No, it’s my pleasure. I’m sorry for calling you out on such a precious day off. This is my older twin sister, who works as the president’s secretary at Kagaya Manufacturing.”
“Nice to meet you. I’m Hikawa Rin. My sister, Ran, has been in your care, and I’d like to thank you.”
“Huh… you’re twins!?”
“Yes, we are.”
Wait—twins!? Two beautiful sisters, no less!!
And as expected of twins, they synchronized their words perfectly.
By the way, I just learned that Hikawa-san’s full name was Hikawa Ran. I never knew that.
It was a pretty cute name.
And her sister’s name was Rin.
Ran and Rin.
Together, they had names that sounded like something out of showbiz.
Both of them gave off a cool vibe, but when they were side by side like this, how could I put it…
No, they were really just beautiful.
“Ah, nice to meet you. I’m Hirabayashi from Rikuado. Your sister has been so helpful to me, and I can’t thank her enough…”
“Yes, you’re Hirabayashi-san, right? My sister Ran told me you’re a very sincere and kind person.”
“Eh? R-really?”
“Yes. That’s why I thought I should meet you today and have a conversation.”
“Th-thank you, Hikawa-san!”
Hikawa-san… Oh, the Hikawa-san I already knew, Ran.
I realized that this meeting with her sister today was only made possible thanks to her saying such things. I felt so grateful, I couldn’t help but stare at Ran-san.
“Ah, no… I just told my sister exactly what I thought… Hehe.”
Hikawa-san seemed embarrassed, her cheeks slightly flushed as she covered her mouth and let out an exaggerated laugh.
“Oh, I brought a little something for you both. Please enjoy them together.”
I handed over a yellow paper bag containing the puddings, but Hikawa-san quickly waved her hands.
“Oh, Hirabayashi-san, you really didn’t have to…”
“Ah, no, I just happened to come across a nice pastry shop on the way here and thought of you. These are custard puddings.”
“Oh! That pudding from that shop is so good! But it’s expensive, so I hardly ever buy it. Actually, both my sister and I love pudding.”
Hikawa-san smiled warmly.
Looks like I made the right call with this gift.
“Really? Actually, I love pudding too. That’s why I chose this.”
“Huh? So all three of us here love pudding? Ufufu.”
I already knew Rin-san was a pudding fan—thanks to Nakajima’s intel.
“Thanks, Nakajima,” I mentally cheered.
But I didn’t expect Ran-san to love pudding too.
Then again, since they were twins, maybe their tastes were similar.
“Since I’m making you take time out of your weekend to listen to me, this is just a small token of my gratitude. Please enjoy them together.”
I pushed the bag toward them again, and this time, Hikawa-san hesitantly accepted it.
“Hikawa-san, really, don’t hold back. It’s fine. I even bought one for myself too.”
I lifted the small bag containing my own pudding, grinning as I showed it to her.
“Oh, Hirabayashi-san, you’re surprisingly playful.”
Rin-san chuckled, amused.
Then, she smiled gently and continued.
“Well then, Hirabayashi-san. Shall we get down to business?”
“Ah, yes. Thank you for your time.”
As I responded, Rin-san gave me a warm smile.
