Academy SP 〜An Ex-Mercenary Reincarnated as a Mob in a Gal Game. I Ditched My Bodyguard Job to Enjoy High School Life, but When the Ultra-Rich Heroines Were About to Get Killed, I Stepped In… and Somehow Built a Harem Powerful Enough to Control Japan〜 - Chapter 60, 61 & 62
Chapter 60
The protection plan I devised for “Academy SP” was extremely simple.
To put it plainly, I entrusted the entire group—Sara Hagoromo, Ririko Aketo, and several of their friends—to Isoyama and the others.
Well, Isoyama was still badly injured, so he probably couldn’t fight at full strength. But the “Aketo Conglomerate faction” had recovered fairly quickly overall, and Ootani and Saeki—both more combat-oriented—were reliable manpower. That side should be fine.
The real problem was—Ayaka Kirishima.
From the very beginning, she had openly expressed her dislike for “Academy SP.” A few students initially volunteered to guard her, but she rejected every one of them. In the end, the so-called “Kirishima Conglomerate faction” practically vanished.
Well… that part followed the original story.
In the original game, Shirou Amagaya was the only member of “Academy SP” assigned to her, and from there, their relationship slowly developed into something romantic. It was a slightly unusual route.
So, out of consideration for Ayaka Kirishima, I decided to handle this with the absolute minimum number of people.
In other words—
Only Wakita and I would take responsibility for her protection.
―“Heeey… so after the police lady, now it’s Kirishima-san?”
―“…Yuuji-kun, you really have no self-control, huh?”
When I explained the decision, Sara and Ririko reacted so coldly that even Karuizawa’s warm breeze seemed to freeze.
No, seriously. If we’re balancing manpower, I’m obviously the one who has to go.
And on top of that, Ayaka Kirishima might reject us outright.
What is this? I’m getting kicked while I’m already down!
“W-Wait, hold on… Ayaka-san, just hear me out. We’re not trying to ruin your fun forest camp or anything—”
But at that moment—
Ayaka shot me an icy, unimpressed glare.
“Ayaka… you say? Why are you casually using my given name, you insolent fool?”
“Eh!?”
Crap…
I’d been viewing this world through the lens of a gal-game player, so I used her first name without thinking.
Now that I thought about it, I’d been casually calling Sara and Ririko by their first names too… but normally, that wasn’t acceptable at all, right?
“To think that person would address Ayaka-sama by her given name…”
“Perhaps he has some indecent motive.”
“Or perhaps… he actually likes Ayaka-sama…?”
The refined young ladies behind her began whispering among themselves.
Yeah… I was clearly being treated as a suspicious individual.
Then Wakita leaned in and quietly whispered in my ear.
“Those girls over there are the ones who usually hang around Kirishima-san. Maybe you should start by easing their guard first?”
“I see… yeah, that makes sense.”
I cleared my throat once, then turned toward the girls with a bright smile.
“Ahh, hello there, hello. We’re just here to protect you all, that’s it. (smile smile)”
But—
“““KYAAAAAAAHHHH!?!”””
The young ladies let out a deafening scream.
The tourists visiting Karuizawa all turned around at once.
Hey, hey! I didn’t do anything wrong!?
“What a terrifying face…!?”
“He looks like a demon about to devour us!”
“Someone—someone please save us——!”
Wait! Why are they trembling with tears in their eyes!?
I’m not doing anything!
“You—! What is that demonic smile!? What exactly are you planning to do to my friends!?”
Ayaka stepped forward, her slim yet well-toned arm extending from her rolled-up gym sleeve as she desperately shielded the girls behind her.
Hold on. Why does this look like I’m the villain here!?
“W-W-What’s with that terrifying grin, Yuuji…?”
“Eh? W-Wait, I was just nervous, so my face stiffened a little. Was it really that scary?”
“Yeah. You looked like a soldier who just came back from a war zone.”
—Hey, why are you hitting my trauma with pinpoint accuracy like that…?
It had already been two months since I reincarnated, so I’d thought the “battlefield aura” had finally left my face… but apparently, that habit hadn’t gone away at all.
“Jeez… Can’t be helped. Guess I’ll have to handle this one myself.”
Wakita said that and lightly thumped his chest.
“I’ve got much better communication skills than Yuuji, after all. Just watch.”
Then he walked toward the girls with a bright smile.
“Hey there, ladies! It’s okay, no need to be scared! We’ll protect you from any bad guys, don’t worry~ (grin grin…)”
And then—
“““KYAAAAAAAHHHH!?!”””
At this point, it wasn’t even screaming—it was full-on shrieking. The young ladies were in tears.
“What a disgusting smile!?”
“Father, please forgive me! My purity has been stolen!”
“He’s suspicious! Someone help us!!”
The tourists in Karuizawa turned around again, probably convinced an actual crime had just taken place.
While Wakita desperately tried to explain himself, Ayaka suddenly spread both arms wide in front of the girls, like a lioness protecting her cubs.
“Grrr… Enough! What is that revolting grin!? Do not come any closer, you shameless fiend!”
“Gaaaaaahhhhn…”
Wakita slowly sank to the ground, hugged his knees, and began sulking on the spot.
“They… called me disgusting. Disgusting…”
Wow. His usual smooth-talking survival skills had completely failed, and now he was genuinely depressed. That was rare.
Alright, fine. I’ll back him up for once.
I placed a hand on his shoulder.
“It’s okay, Wakita.”
“Y-Yuuji…!”
“You’re not as disgusting as Hirota, at least.”
“My level of disgusting is competing with that guy!?!”
Chapter 61
Oh.
Looks like I somehow made him even more depressed.
Hmm… this is difficult. Encouraging someone is actually harder than it sounds.
Yeah, I’m definitely not cut out to be a leader.
“But you know, Wakita and Hirota even have similar names. You guys are basically the same type, right?”
“Hey, Yuuji! There are things you can say and things you absolutely shouldn’t say!”
“Tch. You’re always the one dragging me around anyway.”
“What’s that supposed to mean!? Geez! Hahaha!”
“Hahaha!”
Wakita and I ended up laughing together—
And that was when I suddenly felt like the temperature in Karuizawa had risen.
We slowly turned around—
Ayaka Kirishima was standing there with her arms crossed, feet firmly planted apart. Her lips were twitching, as if she were barely holding back her anger.
Then she exploded, her eyes wide enough to almost roll back.
“What are you two doing, flirting with each other like that!? Just go hoooome alreadyyyyyyy!!”
““Eeeek!!””
We screamed without meaning to.
No, seriously—Ayaka Kirishima is terrifying!
It’s like… I don’t know… some kind of wrathful goddess aura. The pressure was unreal.
“Listen carefully, you two!”
The moment she barked that, Wakita and I instantly straightened up and dropped into seiza.
“My friends were bullied by boys in the past! They were harassed! That’s why they all have trust issues with men!”
“…Huh?”
I turned to look at the girls behind her.
“““Hie!”””
They shrieked again the moment our eyes met.
So that’s why their reactions were so extreme…
Now it finally made sense.
“It’s not just them! For many girls, Yushu Girls’ Academy is a refuge from the male-dominated world outside. It’s their last place of peace! And yet…! The one safe haven they had was taken away—by you men! By ‘Academy SP’!!”
As soon as Ayaka Kirishima finished, more girls began gathering around us.
One after another, they stepped forward—
And every single one of them was glaring at us with open hostility.
“That’s right!”
“This is a prestigious girls’ school! Yushu Girls’ Academy!”
“Why are boys even allowed inside!?”
“No one told us this would happen when we enrolled!”
“This is unfair! Completely unreasonable!”
Before we knew it, we were surrounded by elegant young ladies.
W-What is this overwhelming pressure…?
“T-This is bad, Yuuji… The girls here are all part of the ‘Anti–Academy SP’ group.”
“Anti–Academy SP…?”
“Y-Yeah… Even from the beginning, a lot of female students and their parents opposed the creation of ‘Academy SP.’ Which makes sense, right? This is a historic, prestigious girls’ academy. Of course people would be shocked if, during their year, boys were suddenly allowed in. Apparently the school received a ton of protests from the opposition.”
There was a whole movement like that?
This definitely wasn’t in the original story…
“Well, in the end, because of the argument that it was necessary to protect the daughters of the Four Great Conglomerates—and a whole lot of pressure to remain in their good graces—the creation of ‘Academy SP’ was basically forced through. Still, we boys mostly stay in the old school building. Aside from P.E. classes and a few exceptions, we rarely interact with the girls. So it seemed like their ‘sacred space’ was being properly preserved—or at least, that’s what everyone believed.”
“…Don’t tell me. Hirota?”
Wakita nodded with a tired expression.
“Yeah. That idiot Hirota chose the worst possible target and attacked Ririko-san, right? After that, all the distrust they’d been holding toward ‘Academy SP’ just exploded. The opposition group turned into a full-blown ‘expulsion faction.’ Even now, female students and their parents are apparently protesting to the headmaster almost every day, demanding that ‘Academy SP’ be abolished…”
“S-So it’s gotten that bad…?”
“And by the way… the leader of the expulsion faction is…”
Wakita slowly raised both hands in a polite, almost worshipful gesture toward the person standing before us—
Ayaka Kirishima.
She crossed her arms and let out a sharp “Hmph!”
“‘Academy SP’ was suspicious from the very beginning! There are far too many unclear elements surrounding it! How can we possibly entrust our safety to such questionable men!?”
Ayaka Kirishima spoke as though delivering a formal speech—
All while glaring straight at us.
“Even if it isn’t made public, we know you’re moving around to protect us conglomerate daughters! And if that’s the reason ‘Academy SP’ cannot be dismantled or abolished—then I, Ayaka Kirishima, third daughter of the Kirishima Conglomerate head, will raise my voice with everything I have!”
She took a deep breath—
“‘Academy SP’ is not necessary for us at all!!”
Behind her, the expulsion faction young ladies clapped politely.
“““Ohohoho—!”””
Well… their applause was surprisingly refined.
I see.
If a conglomerate daughter herself openly opposes it, then the future of “Academy SP” really might be in danger.
For now, though, the only one openly raising her voice is Ayaka Kirishima.
Sara and Ririko want the system to continue…
As for Suiran Kousaki—no idea.
Then Ayaka continued,
“You claim that women need the strength of men? There is no need for concern. If anything happens to my friends…”
She placed a hand over her chest.
“I will protect them myself—even if it costs me my life!”
At that moment, the young ladies’ faces flushed bright red, and they erupted into high-pitched cheers.
“W-What do we do, Yuuji…?”
“What do we do… I mean… Even so, we still have to guard her. Just in case.”
After all, this is the gal-game world of “Academy SP.”
No matter how you look at it, Ayaka Kirishima has a high chance of getting dragged into some kind of trouble.
There’s no way I can just leave her alone.
“Let’s just secretly follow them for now. We’ll make sure not to get in their way—”
I whispered that to Wakita, but Ayaka Kirishima clearly heard it.
“No! Just knowing you’re lurking behind us—makes my skin crawl!!”
—This woman… she really said that without hesitation!
“B-But, Kirishima-san! Wouldn’t it be safer if we were around? We’re physically stronger, after all—”
The moment Wakita said that with a smile, Ayaka’s eyes sharpened.
“You have been quite rude from the start. Those words only come from looking down on women.”
“N-No, that’s not what I meant—”
“Very well. Then let us settle this with a match. I will show you my strength.”
“Eh!?”
This is bad. This just turned into something extremely troublesome.
“We will spar right now. Whoever wins gets their way. Now—who will go first?”
You’ve got to be kidding me.
Fine. Let’s just retreat for now and come back later—
“—In that case, with all due respect, this humble man in glasses shall take the vanguard!”
Wakita stepped forward dramatically, elbow locked stiff in a strangely formal pose.
Hey! What are you doing!?
“What on earth are you thinking!? She’s a conglomerate heiress!”
“I know, Yuuji…! But… I want to spar with Ayaka Kirishima-san!”
“W-What!? Where is that sudden passion even coming from—”
Wakita silently pointed at her.
Ayaka Kirishima had taken off her tracksuit jacket.
As she slowly lowered the zipper, her impressive curves were revealed.
Pressed firmly against her gym shirt, they stood out clearly—like two smooth white peaks.
When she twisted her body slightly and slipped her right arm, then her left arm, out of the sleeves—
Those peaks swayed.
Ayaka Kirishima handed her jacket to one of the other girls and took a firm martial arts stance.
I glanced at Wakita.
He hadn’t even been hit yet, but his nose was already bleeding.
“Dufufufu… ‘Academy SP’ are knights sworn to protect beautiful princesses…! To defend that honor, I shall fight—! Slurp…”
“Yeah. Go protect the honor of ‘Academy SP.’ Fight bravely. And then drop dead.”

Chapter 62
“The rules are simple. The one who drops to their knees loses. Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean you should hold back. —Come at me seriously! And once you do, I’ll make you crawl on the ground!”
“U-Understood…! I shall take those words as official permission! Then I will attack without hesitation… without hesitation!!”
The moment Wakita’s face twisted into that shameless grin, the girls screamed yet again.
That idiot in glasses… completely unaware that he was wrecking our reputation at record speed, he started wiggling his hands in the air. What exactly are you trying to grab!?
“Here I coooome!!”
With that, Wakita launched himself forward.
Like someone diving headfirst into the ocean.
…He was completely wide open.
“Haah!”
Of course, Ayaka Kirishima—the “master” herself—wasn’t about to miss such an obvious opening.
With a sharp shout, she moved smoothly, like flowing water. She seized Wakita’s suspiciously reaching wrist—
“Seiyaa!”
And in one seamless motion, she executed a throw.
—That was Aikido.
If I remembered correctly from the original story, Ayaka Kirishima was a martial arts expert as well, though in a completely different style from Hirota.
Her movements were crisp. No wasted motion.
But then—
Wakita’s glasses flashed.
And the corner of his mouth curled upward.
“Ha! Hahahaha!! Aikido, huh!? Sure, the whole ‘soft overcomes hard’ philosophy has a certain romantic charm! —But in the end, Aikido is just clever technique! It’s far from the strongest!”
Wakita planted his feet firmly and resisted Ayaka’s throw.
Then, wearing a smug expression, he continued—
“If Aikido were truly the strongest martial art, then mixed martial arts would be filled with Aikido fighters! But it’s not! Do you know why!? Because in real combat sports, what matters most is—overwhelming physical power!!”
He declared it so loudly it practically came with a dramatic “BOOM!” sound effect.
“Even an undefeated world champion in lightweight boxing… would never defeat a two-meter-tall heavyweight rookie! That’s how crucial physical strength is in a fight! I’ll show you the kind of raw power that simple techniques like Aikido can’t overcome!”
With that, Wakita tried to brute-force his way through—essentially attempting to bulldoze forward.
That idiot… he’s clearly trying to use this opportunity to grab Ayaka Kirishima while he can.
“Now then, behold! Aikido is defeated—――――――Ahh…”
Right after that, Wakita let out a pathetic sound.
Before I knew it… the glasses-wearing fool was airborne.
And then—
THUD!
He crashed straight into the soft grassy hill nearby.
“Gweh!?”
With a sound like a squashed toad—Wakita was officially knocked out.
At that moment, the young ladies who had been holding their breath behind us burst into cheers.
“““As expected of Ayaka-samaaaaa!!! ♡♡♡”””
Ayaka Kirishima gently waved at them and smiled.
That fresh, fruit-like smile of hers only made the girls scream even louder.
Honestly… she may have a brutally strict attitude toward men, but her looks are undeniably top-tier.
“Ow… ow…”
Wakita slowly pushed himself up from the grass.
She must have held back—he’d been thrown hard, but he didn’t seem seriously injured.
“Oww… damn… what insane power…”
“Obviously.”
I looked at Ayaka Kirishima again.
It’s true that, generally speaking, there’s a clear physical gap between men and women.
But between Ayaka Kirishima and Wakita?
That balance was completely reversed.
Ayaka Kirishima… she’s probably a little over 170 cm tall. About the same height as Wakita—maybe even slightly taller.
At first glance she looks slim, but her arms and legs are clearly toned.
You can tell there’s solid muscle beneath that frame.
If I had to guess, she probably weighs somewhere around 55 to 58 kilos.
Meanwhile, Wakita proudly told me during the last health check, “Yuuji! I’m 53 kilos!”
So simply put, there’s a noticeable physical difference between Ayaka Kirishima and Wakita.
No wonder her Aikido techniques flowed so cleanly.
“Damn…! I couldn’t even get the chance to touch that firm, well-built body…! Truly terrifying… the young lady of the Kirishima Conglomerate!”
“‘Damn,’ my foot. You lost that easily. Eat more.”
While I held my head in embarrassment over Wakita’s pathetic performance,
Ayaka Kirishima proudly declared her victory.
“How about that! Now you understand there’s no need to rely on the strength of ‘Academy SP’! Even I—a woman—can fight like this! We don’t need the help of you men!”
I’d heard she was skilled with the naginata and archery, but her barehanded combat ability is no joke either.
She narrowed her eyes—
And then fixed her gaze on her next target.
Me.
“You’re next. Stop hesitating and come at me.”
“……………………”
Ayaka Kirishima raised her guard.
Well then… what do I do now?
Her route… her route… how did you handle her again—
I can’t remember. It feels like the answer is right there, just beyond my grasp…
Wait. Hold on.
Why am I casually thinking about how to “capture” Ayaka Kirishima in the first place?
I don’t need to do that.
All I have to do is protect her during our time in Karuizawa. That’s my mission.
…Fine. Let’s change tactics.
“Sorry. I surrender.”
I raised both hands.
She blinked in surprise.
“…What do you mean?”
“It’s exactly what it sounds like. Wakita went down that easily. There’s no way I could beat you. —We’ll step back.”
The moment I declared surrender, her expression softened.
It was almost a triumphant smile—like she had just defeated another man and was taking pride in it.
“You should have done that from the beginning. …If necessary, I could even replace ‘Academy SP’ myself. Hagoromo-san, Aketo-san, Kousaki-san—I will protect them all.”
At that moment, the girls behind her erupted into high-pitched cheers again.
“““Kyaaaaaaa!! A Four Great Conglomerates pairing is born!! ♡♡♡”””
