Rescuing The Goddess-Sama. (Part 2)
Naho and Yuki are coming to my house to play.
However, a classmate of mine, Mikoto Rei, who is called a “Goddess,” is staying at my house.
If they both came to my house, there is a possibility that they would find out that Mikoto Rei is staying at my house.
I thought about explaining the situation to the two of them, but Mikoto-san might not like it.
Besides, I myself don’t really understand how Mikoto-san came to live in my house, and I don’t think I can talk to the two of them and expect them to understand it either.
So, unfortunately, the only thing I can do is to prevent them from coming to my house.
When I tried to reply to the two of them with an excuse that I had something to do.
Yuki looked at my side strangely and murmured.
“That’s… a kid from our school, right?”
Yuki then pointed to a small path on the side of the road.
Quite far from Yuki’s fingertip was a place where narrow alleys intersected in a T-shape.
That area was a collection of old apartment buildings and other miscellaneous buildings, some of which were in a state of ruin, as no one had been found to destroy them.
There was a schoolgirl in a school uniform standing there.
That uniform was indeed from our school.
“That girl is… Mikoto-san… isn’t she?”
As Yuki had said, the girl was indeed Mikoto Rei .
Even from a distance, Mikoto-san’s long, silver, flowing hair stood out well.
“She’s in the same class as yours, isn’t she? Aki-kun?”
“You know well, huh.”
“Because… She is famous. The Ice Goddess, right?”
She is the most beautiful girl in the school, and it seems that her name is well known throughout the school, including Yuki, who is in the next class.
For a moment, I thought that Mikoto-san might come over here and we would run into each other, but it seemed that I did not have to worry about that… Because she was moving further into the alleyway.
As I wondered why she was going that far, I noticed that there were several men around her.
They were boys from another school.
They were all dressed in navy blue blazers, and all of them were quite big and looked powerful.
Mikoto-san was being cornered by them and was taking steps backward.
From a distance, she looked frightened, as if she was arguing with the men.
One of the boys then suddenly grabbed her arm, and she shook her body, trying to shake him off.
“That was not something… Mikoto-san… likes, right?”
Kaho said, looking concerned.
Indeed, Kaho is right.
I don’t know what’s going on, but Mikoto-san is surely in trouble with those boys and is about to be taken into the back alley.
It might be better to help her.
“I’ll go check on her for a bit.”
When I said this, Kaho and Yuki looked at each other and then at me with concern.
I think they were worried because they knew what I was like in middle school.
I smiled at them.
“It’ll be fine. I won’t do anything dangerous.”
“Haruto, don’t fight, okay?”
Kaho said with a serious expression.
I shrugged my shoulders.
“I know. I won’t use violence. You two go home first. It’s dangerous.”
“Ehh? Ah- Wait! Haruto!”
Hearing Kaho’s voice coming from behind my back, I start running down the narrow alley.
At the same time, Mikoto-san’s figure disappeared into the alley at the back of the buildings, out of sight.
That alley should have been a dead end, with only the ruins of a battered, rundown apartment building.
In other words, there was a good chance that Mikoto-san had been taken there.
“Not good.”
I mumbled to myself.
After running for a while, I finally entered the building I was looking for.
I killed any sign of my presence and proceeded through the building.
Eventually, I came to a hall-like area on the ground floor of the building.
The interior had been almost completely destroyed, it was as if nothing remained.
Fortunately, however, there was what looked like the wreckage of a metal locker, so I hid behind it as I scanned the area.
Mikoto-san was standing in the center of the hall.
Three boys were surrounding her.
“What’s the meaning of all this?”
As usual, Mikoto-san’s tone was strong, but contrary to what she said, her legs were trembling.
Being taken away by men much taller than herself, being locked in an abandoned house, and surrounded by them, anyone would surely be scared.
The brown-haired man standing in the center of the three boys kicked a nearby oil drum with a thud, which made a loud noise.
The sound made Mikoto-san tremble.
“Don’t take it personally, daughter of the Tomi house. I’ve been asked to give you a bit of a beating.”
“By whom?”
“I’ll leave that to your imagination. You’re still a very beautiful woman, by the way. The method of inflicting pain is up to how I decide it…”
The brown-haired man then looked at Mikoto-san’s body from top to bottom, as if wanting to lick it all over.
Then he smirked.
Mikoto-san backed away and hugged her shoulders with both hands.
Her face was pale and she looked as if she was about to cry.
At that moment, her eyes suddenly met mine, which was supposed to be hidden from her view.
Mizukoto-san’s blue eyes widened.
I don’t mean to pretend to be a hero, but in a situation like this, not helping Mikoto-san was not really an option.
Even when I told Kaho that I would not get into a fight with them, it looks like I would be breaking my promise.
The moment the man reached out to grab Mikoto-san, I jumped towards them.
