Chapter 6 – Legal Five-Timing Part 2
“Um…?”
“Hmm? You can eat. There’s enough drinks for everyone, but it’s first come, first served when it comes to the selection. I’ll be taking the carbonated drink”
“I’m taking water.”
Azusa-san’s actions and Sui’s nonchalant voice softened the serious atmosphere. Each of us grabbed a drink and a pizza.
“You know what?”
Just when everyone decided to eat pizza instead of talking,
“Dreams and reality are different, you know. The people who appear in dreams may exist in reality, but they might be portrayed differently. Just because we were in a relationship in a dream doesn’t mean we’re in a relationship in reality. It’s not the same thing.”
Azusa-san seems to be joking around, but she’s actually quite skilled at understanding people’s emotions. She has a particularly impeccable sense of timing and knows exactly when and how to address certain topics without misjudging the atmosphere.
“Let’s take it slow. If the feelings we had in the dream still exist in reality, we can give it another shot. But if they don’t, it’s okay to choose someone else.”
She is as caring and verbal as the Azusa-san in my dreams. She sounds used to comforting people and is really mature.
“…That’s right. I’m sorry for spoiling the atmosphere of this get-together.”
Rin didn’t need to apologize. I’m the one who’s sorry.
The affection I had for everyone in the dream is still inside me. They should not exist at the same time, but they do.
“Well, but… If you can’t choose from these many cute girls, you’re being picky.”
Grinning, Azusa-san teased me.
As a man, I should tell everyone what I have been thinking about and have made up my mind to do.
“I can’t choose.”
It’s been two months since I heard about the marriage, and it’s been on my mind.
“I know because I’ve been with all of you. You’re all too good for me, I’m not in a position to choose.”
I have to marry one of them. They have to marry me.
What really bothered me the most was the way it seemed like I had the authority to ignore their intentions and make decisions on their behalf.
“So, I don’t really pay much attention to what my parents say. I want to get along as friends living in the same apartment… What do you think?”
Then, everyone looked at each other and nodded their heads, but their expressions showed their dissatisfaction.
“Yes, let’s start as friends! I know enough about Rito-kun, but I’d like to get to know everyone else too.”
“Yes, yes! I know everything about Rii-kun, and I want to be friends with everyone too!”
“Yes, I know everything about Rito too.”
“I-I know Rito-san very well too!”
“I know more about Rito than anyone else.”
“””””……”””””
The girls’ gazes clashed with sparks flying between them.
“Eh…?”
At first, everyone was willing to be friends, but in the latter half, it became a battle of how much they knew about me.
This is not the way to do it. This is our chance to take a step forward as friends, so let’s change the subject.
(T/N: This MC is trying to make his future wives become friends… He’s not choosing one but he’s going to get them all, damn him…)
