Chapter 5 – Legal Five-Timing Part 1

“I have something important to tell you guys.”

That evening, the beautiful girls in loungewear surrounded a table in the center of the room.

Yuzuki-san at the back,

Azusa-san and Rin on the right,

Maya and Sui on the left.

And me at the front, fully awake.

As soon as I woke up from my sleep the second time, I immediately urged them to sit at the table, and here we are…

I’ll question them later about being in my room when it was supposed to be locked. I have a much more important talk to do.

“I think there’s been a little bit of confusion lately with all the things that have been going on, so I decided to have a friendly get-together and make some decisions.” 

“…Decisions?”

“I see, so it’s that. Well, our relationship is vague and ambiguous…”

Azusa-san’s right, our relationship is ambiguous. I guess this get-together is to clear things up.

“There’s something I want to confirm with Rito-kun. For about ten years, we’ve been dreaming about spending time with Rito-kun on certain days of the week.”

This is what I learned the day we confirmed the contents of our dreams.

“In the midst of that… U-Um, we developed a relationship in which we ate and slept together… Is that right?”

“Why are you beating around the bush?”

Rin interrupted Yuzuki-san, who looked embarrassed.

This is the same stuff I decided I needed to talk about before I went to sleep again. Just like what I’m concerned about, it’s only natural for everyone to be concerned as well.

“Everyone here was dating Rito in their dreams. It’s—a five-timing.”

Rin’s character of saying things clearly is evident even in real life. 

My heart clenched at the dreaded word ‘five-timing’.

“B-But… That was in a dream.”

Maya followed up. Her normally compact appearance was further weakened by Rin’s intimidating presence.

“Even if that was in a dream, Sui’s feelings remain the same.”

Sui, who spoke in a calm tone of voice, slowly shifted her gaze to me. 

“What about Rito?”

My feelings.

I remember going out with everyone in my dream. It’s true I liked them all and we developed a romantic relationship. That’s not a false feeling.

When I was alone with one person, the other four people disappeared from my mind. In the dream world, there is only me and one person.

The reality is that they all exist. If I have to confess my feelings in such a situation—

“Ah, it’s here~!”

The intercom rang, interrupting my attempt to express my feelings, and Azusa-san stood up.

“Yes! I’ll be there shortly!”

She spoke into the camera intercom, pressed the unlock button and disappeared into the corridor leading to the front door. A short time later, she returned with a thin rectangular box and a plastic bag in her hand.

“Come on, make space!”

The thin rectangular box was placed on the table with the logo of a chain pizza restaurant. Inside the plastic bag was a bottled drink, which was neatly placed on the table.

“Itadakimasu!”

Not caring about our confusion, Azusa-san opened the box and put a slice of pizza in her mouth.
