Volume 11 Chapter 26 Time to say goodbye
The celebration went on throughout the night.
The pirates ate, drank, sang, danced, and shared stories to their heart’s content.
Fun times always pass quickly, and soon the sun began to rise from beyond the horizon.
Seeing this, Bat stood up and said, “Well, it’s about time.” He then began to make his way back to his own ship from the GlowBlue.
“Great-grandpa…?”
Cindy noticed and stood up as well.
She felt a fluttering sensation in her chest.
“I had a great time, Cindy. I’m glad I met you.”
“W-What? Are you… leaving already?”
“We’re beings who should never have been here in the first place. We don’t have any more regrets.”
“But…”
Cindy looked sad.
Then, with a slightly embarrassed expression, Bat scratched his head and opened his arms.
Understanding what he meant, Cindy hesitated for a moment, then gently leaped into his embrace.
“You’re a strong and remarkable pirate, a fine captain in your own right. Even a hundred years ago, there wasn’t a captain as amazing as you. You… you’re my pride.”
“Yeah… yeah…”
With her face buried in his chest, Cindy shed tears.
The time they had spent together was short. Yet, there was undoubtedly a familial bond between them.
“Hey! Wake up, all of you! We’re setting sail!”
When Bat shouted, the skeletons who had been resting here and there began to move, and they started preparing the Black Elizabeth for departure. Cindy’s crew followed suit and began tidying up.
“You’re leaving.”
“Oh, Ruisha. I appreciate your help too.”
Bat stepped away from Cindy for a moment and faced Ruisha.
“I’ve never met a bony fellow like you back in my days. If I had met someone like you when I was alive, I’d have made them my crew, even if I had to persuade them.”
“Hehe, that’s an honor. The crew of the Pirate King seems like a lot of fun.”
Acknowledging each other’s strength, they firmly shook hands. A bond of camaraderie was budding between them as well.
“I can somewhat sense the burden you carry. There will likely be tough battles ahead. But you’ll be fine. After all, you’re the man recognized by the Pirate King.”
“…Thank you. I’m truly grateful for everything.”
They exchanged a final fist bump before parting ways.
Bat made his way back to the Black Elizabeth. And then, someone approached him.
“Thank you, Captain Bat. I’m proud to have fought alongside you,” said Mac, the vice-captain of Cindy’s ship.
Upon hearing this, Bat looked at him in surprise and widened his eyes.
“You… your name?”
“I am Vice-Captain Mac Evans.”
Hearing that, Bat froze for a moment, then laughed heartily. “Haha! you remind me of someone… you’re an honest fellow. Adhering to the command for a hundred years. The captain’s orders are over. Live your life as you please.”
“I am living as I please. I won’t be bored following that person.”
“I see. That’s fine then. Take care of her for me.”
Saying this, Bat patted his shoulder, resembling his former comrade.
And this time, he boarded the Black Elizabeth, embarking on the final voyage.
“Raise the anchor! Don’t mess up, Black Elizabeth. This is our final departure!”
The sails were hoisted, and the Jolly Roger flag of the Pirate King was raised, its ship exuding an awe-inspiring presence that made it hard to believe it was from over a hundred years ago.
“Farewell, all of you! Stay well!”
As the sun rose, its rays illuminating the Black Elizabeth, the skeletons on board began to glow, slowly reverting to mere bones and collapsing one by one.
At the same time, the Black Elizabeth slowly sank into the sea. The ship, having completed its mission, joined its crew in a slumber.
“Captain Bat! I won’t forget you! I will definitely pass down your legend!” Cindy’s words made Bat raise his right fist in response. In turn, Cindy raised her fist high into the sky. Bat smiled satisfactorily and sank into the depths of the ocean.
And so, the legendary pirate, Captain Bat, truly fell into a deep slumber.

Volume 11 Chapter 27 Pirate King Sindbad of the Seven Seas
Ruisha and his companions bid farewell to the Pirate King and were taken to the port town of Lasisco on Cindy’s ship.
Stepping onto solid land, they appreciated the stability of the earth.
“Land does have a calming effect after all.”
“We were on an island, but it was in the sea. I think I’m good without seeing the ocean for a while.”
As Ruisha and Sharo chatted, someone approached them.
“You’re saying lonely things. Come and visit again.”
“Cindy.”
Their belongings had already been unloaded.
It was time to part ways with Cindy here.
“What are you going to do from now on, Cindy?”
“We have quite a few injured crew members, so I’m planning to take it easy on Pirate Island Oafuru. And after a while, set sail again. I wonder what kind of legend we’ll chase next.”
Cindy spoke with excitement.
Ruisha had thought that meeting Bat, their main objective, might make Cindy give up being a pirate, but it seemed to be an unnecessary worry.
“If you get tired of life on land, feel free to come at any time. I’ll gladly welcome you as comrades.”
“Haha, well then, I’ll keep that in mind for when the time comes.”
Ruisha and Cindy laughed and shook hands.
Cindy suddenly pulled Ruisha’s hand towards herself while they were shaking hands. Caught off guard by the strength of the pull, Ruisha exclaimed, “Whoa!?” and leaned forward.
Seizing the opportunity, Cindy closed the distance and stole a kiss from him.
“Huh!?”
Ruisha was taken aback by the unexpected soft touch.
Instinctively, he tried to pull away, but Cindy held him firmly, not letting go.
After enjoying the sensation for a moment, Cindy released her lips with a mischievous smile.
“If you forget this kiss, come back to the sea. I’ll remind you again.”
Saying so, Cindy leaped high and jumped onto the waiting ship where the crew was. The crew noticed the captain’s blushing ears but didn’t comment.
“I won’t forget the time we spent together! If you ever have trouble at sea, call for me, and I’ll come to help!”
The anchor was raised, and the sails were set. Cindy’s pirate ship caught the wind and sailed forward.
Ruisha gazed at the ship for a while.
“Right. Well, shall we go too?”
Saying that and turning around, he was met with the intimidating and fearsome aura of Sharo and Iris, akin to demons.
“Shall we go? Isn’t that right? What was that kiss earlier?”
“You seemed to have enjoyed it for quite a while. Are you prepared?”
“Uh, well…”
A nervous Ruisha stammered.
Seeing this, Wolf thought, “He’s finally back to his usual self,” in a lighthearted manner.

Ruisha and the others, after parting ways with Cindy, went to bid farewell to Stan L. Ford, the merchant who had helped them.
He was delighted that Ruisha and the others had returned safely, and they parted on good terms, promising to meet again.
Next, they visited the mansion owned by the vampires where the magical airship “Blue Empress” was docked.
After resting there for a day, Ruisha and the group decided to leave Lasisco the next morning.
“…This is where we part ways,” Viness murmured sadly.
He had to report this incident to his vampire comrades after this. He couldn’t accompany Ruisha and the others any longer.
“I had a great time, Viness. Take care.”
Ruisha said so, but he was a little worried about Viness.
He wouldn’t hear those strange voices anymore. However, the tension with his own kind hadn’t completely disappeared. Ruisha wanted to be there for support if possible, but he also had things to do. He couldn’t be there to protect him forever.
Perhaps sensing Ruisha’s concern, Viness took something out.
“Heh… Don’t worry, Ruisha. I have this, so I’ll be fine!”
Viness pulled out a black cloak and put it on.
The cloak closely resembled the one Ruisha wore when he activated his Demon Dragon Form. Viness had made this himself while resting in Lasisco.
“Recreating a black color reminiscent of materialized darkness was challenging… But in my hands, it’s a piece of cake. As long as I have this cloak, Ruisha and I are bound by our souls… Isn’t that right?”
Viness spoke in a tone reminiscent of when they first met.
It was his way of reassuring himself that he would be fine. Understanding this, Ruisha responded with a determined expression, matching Viness’s demeanor.
“Let’s meet again, soulful brother.”
“Yeah, definitely…!”
And so, Viness also parted ways with Ruisha and the others.
