- You’re Right, They’ll Expel Me if I Run into the Store with a Weapon!!
- Chapter 77 - Amano: "I wonder if Yamamoto-kun has safely reached Valhalla..." Touka: "What are you talking about? Oh, I see, you've already lost your mind~" Amano: "Touka-chan, do you hate me by any chance?"
Yamamoto Ichinoya’s scream, as one might expect, was echoing thunderously throughout the stadium.
However, right before the scream echoed, the feed from the ultra-small stealth drone in the toilet was cut. The monitor had turned pitch black.
“A bit too gruesome, so we’ll spare you the visuals and stick to audio,” commented Kozaki Amano, the amiable young man in the commentary booth.
Below the commentary room, in the stadium stands, faces turned pale one after another. The cause was none other than the scream of Yamamoto Ichinoya.
“Yeah, I saw the continuation here, but Yamamoto Ichinoya is retiring. As a result of the damage assessment, it was from Shiori-chan’s knee kick… Let’s hold back a bit. It’s quite gruesome.”
Amano said with a complicated voice as he redirected the video to the monitor.
The first thing displayed was Yamamoto Ichinoya, spilling a dark fluid onto the floor before collapsing.
“Since it’s an infrared camera, it’s hard to identify colors, but that’s a reproduction liquid made to resemble blood,” Amano added.
This ‘blood’ was actually a special fluid emitted by the collar choker upon a combatant being deemed unable to continue. It is designed to absorb various components in the air and produce a large amount of liquid.
In other words, those who lose are drenched in blood.
This mechanism was to identify those who were defeated.
“Now, the first elimination in that building has occurred. Its significance will be known in time.”
It was something many understood without being said.
Many had imagined the words and their meaning behind the unspoken tradition.
Why did Shiori Himeji make the first loser scream?
Why did Shiori Himeji take down her opponent after being noticed?
The meaning of that would become clear later.
“Now, what starts here is a one-sided slaughter… or so I’d like to hype it up, but saying that might bring complaints! Mainly from the principal!”
With a full smile, Amano, hiding his intentions, moved his hands quickly in the background. There lied Amano’s desire.
“Now, no guns were used in the instant kill just now, but the scream made it clear. The sound is terribly loud.”
A new challenge presented itself to the spectators due to the change in the flow from previous events.
They wanted to deliver the sound of conversation, but doing so would mean gunshots blaring loudly throughout the stadium.
It was a factor that could prevent focused viewing.
Therefore, Amano had thought of and prepared countermeasures in advance.
“So! From now on, we’re cutting down a lot of the sound from the field! From here on out, to make the match viewing enjoyable, I’ll do my best in my own way!”
Lastly, Amano placed the object he held in both hands on the commentary desk, where the microphone was placed. It was Amano’s personal computer.
Kojima Moriko, the other commentator next to him, looked at Amano’s actions with questioning eyes.
“Amano-san. What exactly is that? What do you intend to do?”
“Uh? As I said earlier, besides being a commentator, I have another job. Remember?”
“…BGM duty?”
“Correct!”
The mysterious job Amano had mentioned a few minutes earlier was now to be revealed.
“During sports day events or movie fight scenes, various BGMs play, right?”
“Y-Yes, they do… Could it be!?”
“That’s right. I thought about incorporating that system. Watching the scene with low or no sound seems lacking. So, I figured why not play some music to get everyone excited?”
As he spoke, Amano plugged the cord connected to his computer into the audio equipment available in the commentary room, completing the preparation.
“What’s going to happen in the building might be as everyone expects. I understand that too. So, let’s play some fitting BGM for the battle.”
And the song was delivered to the ears of everyone watching the fight.
It was a song that everyone had heard at least once.
But for what was about to happen, this song was an unimaginable combination.
If the principal were there, he might have yelled, “Why did you prepare that song!”
Yet, Amano thought this song was fitting for the battle to come.
It was at the end of Amano’s desire, what he wanted to see, what he wanted to feel.
“Let’s start with this.”
──O Freunde, nicht diese Töne!
A globally renowned composer, Beethoven.
