With a glimpse of hope in my heart, I follow the two of them as they walk happily together.
And then, I see it.
—Yuki entering a hotel with another man.
For a moment, it’s as if the whole world has stopped. That isn’t the Yuki I know.
I want to believe. I want to believe in her forever.
However, what is unfolding before my eyes denies everything.
I feel as if a cold blade pierces deep into my heart. I can’t breathe. The ground is crumbling beneath my feet.
It’s over.
I don’t even have the strength to scream or confront her.
All I feel is despair.
However—
“I can’t let things end this way.”
I don’t even know who those words are meant for, but in that moment, something inside me snapped.
If there’s nothing left to believe in—
Then I’ll live for myself. If I’ve been betrayed, I’ll get back up. With my own strength, from the depths of despair.
I quietly step out into the night, to change everything.
