Ibuki hesitated for a moment. He realized that his actions might make Airi develop feelings for him… that’s what he had concluded till now.

Airi denied the possibility of feeling fluttery around Ibuki.

In response, Airi naturally stepped back, her back clashed against the wall.

Meanwhile, Ibuki slowly closed the distance while staring into Airi’s sapphire blue eyes.

“Hey, hey, hey, you’re… too close…”

She firmly pressed his chest with both hands.

But Ibuki forcefully pushed back against her.

Unable to resist his strength, Airi easily gives in.

Closing the distance even further…

They drew closer until they could feel each other’s breath.

Airi’s gaze wandered around the room, then she averted her eyes to left and right as if trying to escape…

She then turned her face away to the left, unable to hold it back any longer.

—Thud!

“Ah…”

At the same time, Ibuki forcefully slams his other hand against the left wall.

“N-No… I-I understand… already…”

“Airi.”

Ibuki whispers her name gently and affectionately.

Simultaneously, he inserted his knee between her legs.

Their bodies pressed tightly against each other while doing so.

“Airi…”

While blowing his hot breath toward her reddish-white ear peeking through her flaxen hair, Ibuki said her name.

Airi felt a slight tremor in her body as it jerked slightly in the process.

“I love you, Airi.”

He whispered those loving words which made her even numb.

Before she knew it, her ears started turning into a deeper shade of red.

“You’re joking, right? I-I know that… already…”

“I wouldn’t joke about something like this.”

In a serious tone, without hesitation, Ibuki said those words calmly.

“N-No… Earlier, you said it was a joke… A-And besides, you said you didn’t like me…”

“I didn’t realize it back then… You made me realize it.”

“W-Well…”

“Since that time… after the kiss, I’ve been thinking about you all the time, Airi.”

And once again, he called her by her name.

“What about you?”

“W-Well, it’s not like… I don’t like you… The kiss wasn’t a big deal…”

“Airi.”

Ibuki gently touched Airi’s chin with his left hand.

Airi’s body trembled again with his gentle touch.

“Look into my eyes.”

While saying so, he slowly and gently raised her head, but with a force that Airi cannot resist…

“How was it, Airi?”

And then he pressed their foreheads together.

“W-What…?”

“When we kissed, you didn’t feel anything?”

Airi gasped in realization as the memories of the kiss suddenly appeared before her.

But suddenly… In a weak voice, she hesitated at the last moment and said, “No.”

At that moment, Ibuki moved his face away from Airi’s.

And he couldn’t help but grin widely.

“Ahh…”

“Huh?!”

Seeing that Airi was about to fall as she wobbled on her legs, Ibuki hurriedly caught her and prevented her from falling.

Then he slowly helped her sit on the floor.

Airi lowered her face in embarrassment while her body was trembling.

Her face was completely flushed.

Seeing Aori like that, Ibuki unconsciously scratched his head.

‘D-Did I go too far…?’

Ibuki had expected Airi to get angry and hide her embarrassment, but she remained silent, which made him a little flustered.

Meanwhile, Airi held her chest.

She seemed to be desperately trying to calm down her ragged breathing.

“Uh, um, Airi. What happened earlier was a joke, or… a-are you okay?”

Approaching Airi gently, while keeping a certain distance from before, Ibuki tried to offer some reassurance.

On the other hand, Airi hugged herself with both hands, trembling slightly.

“W-Was it scary…? S-Sorry. I got carried away… um, Airi?”

As Ibuki apologized, Airi suddenly lifted her face.

Her eyes were moist, and her cheeks were rosy.

“Ibuki-kun…”

“Uh, no… I mean, um, A-Airi… san?”

Suddenly, Aeri grabbed Ibuki’s shoulder.

And then, she pressed Ibuki down with her weight and straddled him.

“Ibuki-kun…”

With a thud, Airi placed her hands on the floor near his head on both sides.

Ibuki’s head happened to be in the space between her hands.

Due to what happened earlier, Ibuki couldn’t react on time, so he had no choice but to go along with it.

“W-What’s wrong…?”

“I… I like you.”

“…Huh?”

Ibuki asked in surprise.

Then Airi, with a somewhat heated expression, said…

“I’ve fallen in love with you, Ibuki-kun.”
