Yandere and Menhera - Suddenly Having a Yandere Older Stepsister and a Menhera Younger Stepsister Makes Every Day Difficult - Chapter 1 - 5
After the turmoil of last night, it was 5 AM the next morning. I always wake up at this time to go for a run. As I was changing into my tracksuit, I found that Matsuri-nee-san was already awake, despite the early hour.
“Good morning.”
“Good morning, Ryusuke-kun. Where are you off to?”
“Ah, for a run.”
“I see. Be careful, okay?”
“Yes.”
I was still not used to conversing with her and was so nervous that I could hardly look at Matsuri-nee-san’s face.
During my run, I tried to forget about my awkward relationship with Matsuri-nee-san and the fact that Ririka-chan was around, running at a faster pace than usual to clear my head.
Then, I encountered the beautiful Onee-chan who always runs the same course.
“Good morning!”
“Morning! You’re going at a high pace today.”
“There’s a lot on my mind.”
“I get it. Whenever I want to forget something, I run faster too.”
“Then, I’ll be going ahead.”
“Sure!”
The conversation with the usual Onee-chan made me feel a bit lighter.
Around 6:30 AM, when I returned home, a pleasant smell greeted me at the entrance.
“I’m back,” I said.
“Welcome back, Ryusuke-kun!”
“You went out leaving us behind again.”
“Ririka-chan, it’s not like that…”
Matsuri-nee-san welcomed me back warmly, but Ririka-chan was still cold, likely because of the incident yesterday. Unsure how to react to their opposing attitudes, I simply ate the breakfast prepared for me and decided to head to school early after taking a shower.
At 7 AM, as I was about to leave for school, Ririka-chan grabbed the strap of my bag.
“Are you going to be late today too?”
“Ah, yeah. I have club activities.”
“I see. I guess I don’t matter to you.”
“Eh?”
“It doesn’t matter what happens to me, right?”
“What are you talking about?”
Confused by Ririka-chan’s intentions and words, I headed to school at a high pace, running.
I arrived at school around 7:30 AM.
Entering my classroom, I found someone sitting at my window-side seat, known among my classmates as “the cool and unapproachable one.”
“Excuse me.”
“You’re early.”
“That’s Saeka-chan, right? You’re also early.”
“…”
“Eh?”
“It’s nothing.”
I thought I heard Saeka-chan murmur something, but it might have been my imagination.
I tried negotiating with Saeka-chan for my seat, but for some reason, she showed no signs of moving and seemed ready to sleep there instead.
“Could you please get up?”
“Then sit in the seat behind me; it’s mine.”
“Why?”
“Why, you ask…”
As we were talking, more and more classmates began to arrive. Suddenly, Saeka-chan stood up and moved to her own seat.
“What was that all about?”
I could only sum up my feelings with this single thought.
Even in the classroom with someone as inexplicable as Saeka-chan, I had to go back home to Ririka-chan, another enigmatic presence.
Unsure of what to do, I decided to sleep on my desk until the lessons started.
