Yandere and Menhera - Suddenly Having a Yandere Older Stepsister and a Menhera Younger Stepsister Makes Every Day Difficult - Chapter 1 - 39/40
On the day before the national competition, I was on a plane headed to the venue, excitedly enjoying the view from the sky for the first time, with the coach and, for some reason, Miyuki-san sitting beside me. Miyuki-san poked my cheek as I gazed out the window.
“What is it?”
“You seem to be having fun.”
“…Ahaha.”
While I was talking with Miyuki-san, the coach seemed a bit angry and tapped me on the head, saying,
“Are you here for a trip, Ryusuke?”
“No, I’m not.”
“Then sit quietly. And you too, Miyuki. Why are you even here?”
“Who would be so foolish as to not accompany Ryusuke-kun to the national competition?”
“But what about dad?”
“What about him?”
“…Never mind.”
The coach, seemingly defeated by his daughter Miyuki-san’s glare, closed his eyes and started to nap until we arrived. I tried to close my eyes for some mental preparation, but Miyuki-san wouldn’t allow it, forcibly keeping them open.
“Miyuki-san?”
“I won’t let you sleep.”
“Uh, I was just thinking of doing some mental prep.”
“I won’t allow it. Talk with me.”
“But, I…”
“…Just do it.”
“Okay.”
Defeated by Miyuki-san’s insistence just like the coach, I decided to chat with her. With not much to talk about other than whether I was feeling alright, I tried to find a topic by asking her about her likes, but then she asked a pointed question.
“Ryusuke-kun, do you like your older step-sister and younger step-sister?”
“Eh?”
“I was just curious because it seemed like that to me.”
“…I don’t know. They do worry about me as family, and they make delicious meals, and sometimes it’s fun when we play together, but whether I like them or not is…”
“I see. I think those two have a hidden side.”
“A hidden side?”
As I anxiously awaited what Miyuki-san would say next, someone kicked the back of my seat hard.
“What’s going on?!”
“Ah, my apologies.”
Looking closer, I could see a red and white belt attached over a small bag, indicating someone headed to a judo competition. Knowing I couldn’t afford to start a conflict, I was at a loss, but Miyuki-san confronted the person.
“How rude to kick!”
“Ah?”
“You’re headed to a judo competition, right?”
“…And what if we are?”
“We’re also headed to a competition. The boy in the seat you kicked is going to win the competition. Don’t even think about injuring him.”
“Oh? I wonder if he can beat my student. The kid there is Ryusuke, right?”
“Yes, but?”
I wanted to stop the altercation but didn’t know how, flustered, until the coach opened his eyes and said,
“Quiet down. As if my student would lose to yours.”
“Ah?”
“Right, Ryusuke? Looking forward to the competition, huh?”
“Coach…”
The situation escalated with the coach’s remark, but it was a flight attendant who ultimately calmed things down.
“I’m sorry for the trouble,” I thought to myself as the plane landed a few hours later.

After disembarking from the plane and reaching the airport, the heat outside was intense, causing sweat to trickle down my cheeks after just a short walk. Both the coach and Miyuki-san couldn’t let go of their handkerchiefs as we caught a taxi to the hotel where we would be staying for the night.
It was when we arrived at the hotel that the coach, after paying the taxi fare and as we all got out, held his head and said,
“I only booked a room for me and you, but Miyuki ended up coming along. What are we going to do?”
“Are you serious, Dad…?”
“Well, it’s fine. I trust Ryusuke wouldn’t do anything foolish with my daughter, so I’ll just stay in some love hotel nearby, and you two can stay in the room. I’ll come pick you up in the morning.”
“Uh, Coach…”
Caught in an unexpected situation and somewhat troubled by the coach’s naivety, I assured myself that I would never do anything inappropriate, but what if, for instance, Miyuki-san had feelings for me? Though, entertaining the thought that she might harbor romantic feelings for a middle schooler like me felt disrespectful.
While my thoughts were spinning, the coach caught another taxi to a love hotel district nearby, leaving Miyuki-san and me behind at the hotel.
“Shall we go in?”
With Miyuki-san’s words, I had no choice but to brace myself and enter the hotel. After telling the front desk the coach’s name for the reservation, we headed to our room, which had very expensive-looking chairs and a sofa. The beds, of course, were side by side.
As I excitedly explored the room, Miyuki-san laughed and said,
“Are you having that much fun?”
“Oh, no. Sorry.”
“It’s okay. Come, sit on the bed?”
“Eh?”
“What, expecting something~?”
“No, not at all!”
“I’m just going to pass on a message from Dad.”
“…Okay.”
I wasn’t expecting anything inappropriate, not at all!
Screaming inside my head, I sat on the bed waiting for Miyuki-san’s words. She began massaging my arm, saying,
“Your opponent in the first round tomorrow is quite strong. It won’t be easy, but focus on attacking with Ōuchi-gari and Kouchi-gari while destabilizing them from the feet.”
“Focus on leg techniques…”
“Additionally, it seems last year at the national competition, your opponent showed a moment of vulnerability right after the match begins. So, it might be a good idea to aggressively go for a De-ashi-barai, being careful of their initial move, and then possibly a Ōsoto-gari!”
After Miyuki-san relayed the coach’s advice, I thanked her. Then, as I lay down on the bed to practice with my imaginary opponent in my mind before sleeping, Miyuki-san suddenly grabbed my shirt and asked,
“What about dinner?”
“No, I need to cut back a little for tomorrow’s weigh-in. I was about 500g over when I checked at home.”
“Hmm. Okay. Hey?”
“Yes?”
“There’s a good way to lose weight quickly. Want to try it?”
Miyuki-san asked, her cheeks slightly flushed.
Could it be that she actually harbors feelings for me, enough to make me conceitedly wonder?
Cautiously, I asked,
“What way?”
“…Wanna try?”
