Yandere and Menhera - Suddenly Having a Yandere Older Stepsister and a Menhera Younger Stepsister Makes Every Day Difficult - Chapter 1 - 33/34
I realized that I hadn’t been able to concentrate on my lessons and it was already past 4:30 PM, the time to go home. As I opened the door to leave the classroom with my belongings, that’s when it happened.
Someone grabbed my uniform tightly and pulled me. Thanks to my usual Judo practice, my body reacted well, using the pulling force to draw the person towards me.
As I was about to find out who it was, I saw his face the moment I turned around. It was Sakagami’s cool face.
“Sakagami?”
“Sorry for surprising you, Ryusuke.”
“No, it’s okay.”
Curious about what was happening, I reached out to help Sakagami up as he was falling. As he got up, dusting himself off, he put his hand on my shoulder and said,
“I’m going to try my luck with Saeka again.”
“That’s rather sudden.”
“I just thought, even though we’re in middle school, I can’t give up just because I was rejected once.”
I was moved by Sakagami’s manliness, and it also made me hope this might just solve everything with Nakazato in one go. I decided to support Sakagami once again.
Sakagami smiled happily, appreciating my support. There’s nothing more I wanted than to cheer for someone’s love life. And for Sakagami, who was so earnest, I truly wanted his love to come true.
That was all there was to it.
As I was thinking about how to set up a situation where two guys and two girls could hang out, to help Sakagami and Saeka get closer, I realized I had already arrived home.
While I was pondering, Matsuri-onee-chan hugged me from behind and asked,
“What’s on your mind?”
“Just thinking.”
“About a girlfriend?”
“Yeah. About how a friend of mine can get closer to a girl.”
“Oh, are you supporting a friend’s love?”
Matsuri-onee-chan looked at me with a concerned expression. I couldn’t understand what she was worried about, but as I tried to concentrate again, she whispered in my ear.
“It’s not good to meddle too much. Onee-chan has failed several times because of that.”
“Eh?”
“Never mind.”
The word “failure” that Matsuri-onee-chan casually mentioned made me wonder if it could be one of the reasons she turned yandere. However, I thought it would be rude to pry further into it right now, so I decided to clear my head with some sleep and went back to my room.

The next morning, I received a message on my phone. It was from Miyuki-san, simply saying, “Sorry for worrying you.”
I replied, “I’ll visit you when I win the national championship,” relieved that Miyuki-san was safe, and left my room.
“Good morning, Ryusuke-kun.”
“Good morning.”
After exchanging morning greetings, I stepped outside to go to school. Then, Matsuri-onee-chan clung to me and said,
“Take care today, okay?”
Surprised by her unusual phrase but realizing she was worried about me, I headed to school with a determination not to worry her further.
Today was the last day before the summer break, marking the start of my journey to the national championship and the “Operation: Get Sakagami and Saeka Together.”

As I went to school, everyone seemed even more boisterous than usual, excited that summer vacation was just around the corner. Unable to find a quiet spot in the classroom, I wandered the halls in search of peace, only to run into Sakagami.
“Hey!”
“Good morning~”
“Ryusuke, the national competition is coming up, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, I have to do my best.”
“I’m cheering for you. Win in my place and go to a strong high school. I’ll also make sure to go to a strong place through self-study, so I won’t lose to you!”
“…Can you actually study?”
“Well, that’s a story for another time.”
As I contemplated teaching Sakagami how to study, I knew I had to refocus on the upcoming national competition. That’s when a teacher tapped me on the back.
“Come to the staff room.”
“Eh?”
“Quickly.”
“Err…”
“Don’t be troublesome!”
“Alright.”
After saying goodbye to Sakagami, I followed the teacher into the staff room, which was like a steamy hell due to the absence of air conditioning. I couldn’t help but ask the teacher about it.
“Uh, what about the air conditioning?”
“This year, to save energy, the principal decided against using it so that everyone can study hard even without it.”
“That must be tough.”
“More importantly, there’s talk about the national competition.”
“Oh, yes?”
“Regardless of whether you win or lose in the first round, we’ve received a recommendation for you, even at this early stage.”
“Which school is it?”
“It’s the school that won the National High School Championships in March.”
“Really?”
I was thrilled about the recommendation, but the winning school was quite far from my hometown. Moving or living in a dormitory could inconvenience Matsuri-onee-chan and Ririka.
Thinking I should discuss it with my family, I told the teacher,
“If I win the national competition, I’ll seriously consider it.”
“Alright. I’ll convey that to them.”
“Thank you.”
As I walked down the hall thinking about the recommendation, I bumped into someone.
“Oh, sorry!”
“No, it’s okay.”
The girl hurried away but dropped something. Picking it up, it appeared to be a notebook. I was about to look inside for a name when she stopped me.
“No, don’t!”
“Sorry, I was just looking for a name.”
“I’m Juli. Please be careful not to bump into people from now on!”
“Right. My apologies.”
“Then, goodbye!”
Despite her long bangs and glasses making it hard to see her face, I resolved to be more careful not to bump into her again as I returned to my classroom and sat down.
