Yandere and Menhera - Suddenly Having a Yandere Older Stepsister and a Menhera Younger Stepsister Makes Every Day Difficult - Chapter 1 - 27/28
After getting home, I had Matsuri-san contact Ririka’s school, and I also felt I needed to have a proper talk, so I called in to inform them I would be taking a day off.
Ririka stayed shut in her room ever since she came back home. Even though we needed to talk, I was the reason she ran away in the first place, so I couldn’t say anything and just waited silently. Then, Ririka came out of her room to drink some tea.
Seeing my chance, I grabbed Ririka’s arm and sat down with her on the sofa. Ririka was a bit surprised but waited for me to speak.
“Ririka-chan, I’m sorry first of all.”
“No, it’s my fault for leaving without saying anything.”
“I said too much. So, I want to say it properly now.”
“Okay.”
“I want to live with you girls. It’s been a few months living together, and it’s been more fun and lively than ever before.”
Saying that, Ririka, tears streaming down her face, happily hugged me. Matsuri-san just watched us silently without moving. I stroked Ririka’s head and kept whispering I was sorry.
A few minutes later, Ririka looked into my eyes and said,
“I won’t run away from home anymore. Onii-chan, I love you.”
“Oh, yeah.”
“I love you…”
Ririka hugged me, and for the next few hours, except during meal times, she didn’t leave my side. I didn’t mind her clinging to me, but I was a bit wary that she might be clinging too much.
Ignoring me, Ririka would glance at my face and smile happily. Her face was angelic, incredibly cute, and beautiful. I’m definitely not a lolicon, but Ririka seemed to shine brighter than usual at that moment.
Suddenly, looking to the side, I saw Matsuri-san sucking on her thumb and glaring at Ririka with a scary look. My body just trembled at her terrifying gaze.
And then, I barely heard Matsuri-san’s voice saying “jealous” and whispering “Ririka is in the way,” as if only for me to hear, which made my body tremble even more.
Noticing my shiver, Ririka, with a surprised look, stroked my head and hugged me tighter than before. I wished she wouldn’t provoke Matsuri-san any further. With that thought, I spent the time until bedtime with Ririka.

It was when 7 PM struck. There was an incoming call on my smartphone. When I checked who it was from, it turned out to be from Saeka-chan.
“Hello?”
“Ah, umm, Ryusuke-kun?”
“Hmm?”
“Ah, can you hang out tomorrow?”
“Just the two of us?”
“No, with my friend and a boy from our class called Nakazato.”
“Was there such a guy…?”
“Yeah, he often got into fights with Sakagami-kun. Can you come hang out with those kids and me?”
“Sure.”
After arranging to hang out with Saeka-chan and three others after school the next day, I carried Ririka to her room, then went back to my own room and got into bed early to sleep.

The next morning, as usual, I left the house just after 5 AM to start my run, to meet Yuka-san. After running for a few minutes, I reached our usual meeting spot and found Yuka-san standing there, yawning hugely as if she was sleepy.
“Good morning!”
“Ryusuke-kun~!”
“Are you sleepy, Yuka-san?”
“Yeah. I drank a little too much last night.”
“Please don’t push yourself.”
“Thank you. You’re so kind.”
Yuka-san gently smiled at me while patting my head. Her touch was gentle and also made me feel halfway embarrassed. To hide my embarrassment, I started running a bit faster as if to tease her.
“Wait, wait!”
“Ah, yes!”
As I ran at the same pace as Yuka-san, about several minutes later, she casually mentioned the reason for her heavy drinking last night.
“I got a call from my ex-boyfriend yesterday.”
“Eh?”
“I understand that reaction. After all, I haven’t deleted my ex’s contact info.”
“No, I was surprised because of your ex-boyfriend.”
“Hm?”
“Calling his ex-girlfriend… it seems like he’s just looking for a physical relationship.”
I spoke with a bit of prejudice, and it was rude towards someone’s ex-boyfriend, but Yuka-san just chuckled and said,
“Correct!”
“Eh?”
“He actually said he wants to keep me as a friends with benefits.”
“That’s… terrible.”
“Yes, he’s the worst!”
I understood why Yuka-san drank so much. If I were a girl and an ex-boyfriend said he wanted to resume a physical relationship, any lingering feelings would surely evaporate.
While I was thinking this, Yuka-san looked at me with a gentle smile and said,
“Ryusuke-kun, I wasn’t lying about what I said before.”
“Which one are you referring to?”
“About when I met your older step-sister.”
“…Yes. But I’m still”
“I know. If after you graduate from high school, university, and if you still haven’t found someone you want to marry, then marry me.”
“But, Yuka-san also”
“No. There’s no one else for me but Ryusuke-kun. Once a woman truly falls in love, she can’t ever let go.”
Yuka-san said this with a hint of sadness, looking down. I felt it would be disrespectful not to acknowledge her determination, so I increased my pace, unintentionally leaving her a bit behind.

After finishing the run with Yuka-san, I went back home to take a shower. It was then that Matsuri-neesan stood near the door of the shower room, her voice quiet yet carrying an eerie tone.
“Ryusuke-kun, I won’t give you to anyone else.”
“Eh?”
“Not to Ririka, not to Yuka-san, nor to Saeka-chan, was it? Not to her either.”
“Ne-san?”
“Do you understand?”
I quickly left the shower room out of fear and headed to school. But then Ririka grabbed me from behind, saying,
“Onii-chan will always play with me, right~!”
That day, I felt as if the gears were misaligned and grinding, causing me to head to school filled with unease.
