Yandere and Menhera - Suddenly Having a Yandere Older Stepsister and a Menhera Younger Stepsister Makes Every Day Difficult - Chapter 1 - 11/12
Upon our arrival at the competition venue, we found that a space for our luggage and team had already been secured. The coach, Miyuki-san, and I then made our way there together.
Sakagami had also arrived, and seeing that he had already changed into his judo uniform, it seemed he had finished the weigh-in. We went over to him.
“Good morning, Sakagami.”
“Hey, Ryusuke.”
“You’re all fired up, huh?”
“This is a battle I absolutely can’t afford to lose. For the sake of the junior high sports federation too.”
“Yeah, you’re right.”
As Sakagami mentioned, this tournament was a crucial stepping stone for athletes like us and Sakagami, who are aiming for the national level.
To increase my focus, I decided not to talk with Sakagami any further and left to do my weigh-in alone. While walking outside the venue with my bag and waiting for my practice time, Miyuki-san followed me.
“Ryusuke-kun!”
“Ah, Miyuki-san.”
“You’re nervous, huh?”
“Of course, I am. Winning this tournament would give us a taste of the nationals before the junior high sports federation competition.”
“That’s true. Hey, Ryusuke, come here!”
“Eh?”
Just as I was wondering why Miyuki-san suddenly called me by my first name, she beckoned me over. As I approached her, feeling anxious, Miyuki-san kissed me on the cheek.
“Go for it!”
“Eh, ah.”
Miyuki-san, with her cheeks faintly flushed, made her way back into the venue.
Lost in a daze, clueless about what had just occurred, my phone rang.
“Ah, hello!”
“Ryusuke, come back. It’s time for practice.”
“I’m on my way back now.”
I hurried back into the venue, carefully checked the feel and firmness of the tatami mats, and began practicing. After confirming the condition of my techniques, I did two three-minute practice matches, but Miyuki-san’s actions were so puzzling that I couldn’t concentrate. Then, the coach yelled at me.
“You can’t win with practice like that!”
“Sorry!”
Trying to forget everything, I searched my mind for something else and ended up thinking of Ririka-chan’s sleepy appearance. The moment I remembered her 【just cute appearance】, somehow, I was able to concentrate.
I’m not a lolicon!
Despite shouting this in my mind, I spent the practice time and ate excessively until my individual match time approached, leaving three matches remaining.
“Ryusuke, it’s almost time.”
“Good luck, Ryusuke.”
“I’ll win the first round. Sakagami, you’re up soon too, right?”
Sakagami seemed nervous, his face turning pale. It was the first time I saw Sakagami succumb to nerves like this. At the same time, I felt even more motivated to win for Sakagami’s sake, to boost his spirit.
“Here I go.”
“Stay calm, Ryusuke.”
“Ryusuke-kun, you’ll be fine.”
Encouraged by Miyuki-san and the coach, I naturally smiled, feeling less tense.
The match began.
In short, I clinched victory in every match and emerged as the champion. As for Sakagami, perhaps inspired by my matches, he was more motivated than ever and also won the championship.

A few hours later, I was dozing off in the coach’s car, drifting into sleep.
As my consciousness faded, I could faintly hear the coach and Miyuki-san talking.
“Miyuki, do you like Ryusuke?”
“Eh?”
“I mean, you’re usually tough on people, but you’re always kind to Ryusuke.”
“That’s not true. Not particularly.”
“What do you usually say to your male classmates?”
“Dirty beasts.”
“And Ryusuke?”
“A cool, grown man.”
“That’s clearly different, isn’t it?”
“Dad, please keep it a secret from Ryusuke. Besides, you said even if Ryusuke and I wanted to date, you’d be against it, right?”
“…Ryusuke is still a junior high student. Plus, we need to focus on the junior high sports federation competition right now.”
The conversation that drifted to my ears seemed almost like an illusion, leaving me bewildered by the sudden female attention. All I wanted was to sleep. With that thought, I finally fell asleep.
◆ ◇ ◆
I’m not sure how many hours had passed since I fell asleep, but when I suddenly opened my eyes, I was still in the coach’s car.
“Oh, Ryusuke, you’re awake?”
“Coach, I’m sorry. I fell asleep.”
“No need to apologize. You worked hard in the matches. It’s only natural to be tired.”
“Thank you.”
Glancing back, I noticed Miyuki-san had also dozed off, perhaps weary from the early morning support, her breaths soft and even. Her sleeping face was utterly endearing.
As these thoughts crossed my mind, the coach’s voice brought me back to the moment.
“Ryusuke, we’ll be arriving soon.”
My house started to come into view. A quick check on my smartphone revealed it was already past 6:30 PM.
After parking the car in front of my house, I thanked the coach and got out of the car to go inside. As I opened the entrance, the coach, leaning out of the car window as if he just remembered, called out to me.
“Ryusuke, we’re counting on you for the junior high sports federation!”
“Yes!”
I responded energetically, filled with gratitude for their expectations. Watching the car drive away, I finally entered the house properly.
“I’m home.”
“Welcome back, Ryusuke-kun.”
“Matsuri-nee-san, I’m back.”
Returning home after several hours felt incredibly comfortable. Usually, my mother would either be at work or too tired and asleep after work, but now, having two sisters greet me meant I didn’t have to feel lonely.
“Matsuri-nee-san, where’s Ririka-chan?”
“Who knows?”
“Who knows?”
“Yeah, she’s been holed up in her room and hasn’t come out.”
“Did you guys fight again?”
“No, it’s not that. She says she has to study.”
“I see. Well, that’s good then.”
“Anyway, dinner’s ready. Shall we eat?”
Matsuri-nee-san somewhat forcibly pulled me by the hand to the living room, where a lavish meal was spread out on the table.
“This must’ve been expensive?!”
“Middle schoolers have no need to fret over such matters.”
“But still…”
“Just eat!”
Matsuri-nee-san made me sit at the table and went to Ririka-chan’s room to call her.
As I was mesmerized by the luxurious spread in front of me, Ririka-chan came up behind me and hugged me, looking a bit grumpy.
“Whoa!”
“You’re late…!”
“I’m home. Ririka-chan.”
“Hmph.”
Ririka-chan appeared somewhat sullen, yet her gesture of hugging me from behind hinted she wasn’t wholly displeased, offering me a measure of solace. Then, Matsuri-nee-san appeared to be slightly annoyed.
“…”
“Did you say something?”
“Nothing.”
Whether Matsuri-nee-san was upset because Ririka-chan hugged me or for some other reason, I couldn’t tell. So, I just stayed quiet and focused on the meal.
