Yamamoto-kun's Youth Revenge [Dropped] - 72 - Summer Festival Date Part 1
"Please support me on Ko-fi! Thank you!"
Chapter 72: Summer Festival Date Part 1
I let out a sigh and let my mind wander.
“Oh my, what a lovely boy. Are you waiting for someone? I can be the replacement if you want… Will that be okay?”
“I’m sorry, that’s absolutely not okay. Please don’t talk to me again.”
“Um, excuse me! Do you believe in fate? I feel like I’m destined to be with you right now!”
“Don’t worry, I’m good. And If you talk to me any more, I’ll call the police.”
While waiting for Kashiwagi-san in front of the hospital, I was suddenly approached by various women who were passing by.
But I’m already used to it.
Because I have been approached by beautiful women many times already since I was still in Japan.
And in Japan, they always continued like this…
“You are unhappy because you have not received the blessing of God. If you buy this precious pot or this Bible, then—”
It’s not nice to judge someone like that.
Well, with my looks, I guess it’s inevitable that people will make assumptions that I was unhappy.
The trick to getting rid of them is to say no firmly.
It has been my experience that if you don’t say something as cruel as this, they will persist as long as they can.
(Such scams are rampant in America too… I’ve encountered them several times in the hospital already.)
Certainly, hospitals are a prime hunting ground because there are many unhappy people there…
These bad people target the weak, so I had to be ruthless and say this much.
After driving away the scammers, my mind was soon occupied with Kashiwagi-san again.
After all, it was the first date of my life!
(Kashiwagi-san is probably used to it, so I have to make sure not to embarrass myself in front of her… I don’t have bed hair, do I?)
Even though I had already checked many times, I still decided to check my hair with a hand mirror and fix it.
I never knew waiting could be so much fun.
As I gazed out the window of Kashiwagi-san’s office and imagined walking together with her, I felt a shock like being hit with a chop to the back of my head.
“Hey, you. It’s still an hour before our scheduled time. You’re too early.”
As I rubbed the back of my head and turned around, I saw Kashiwagi-san, wearing a yukata with her hair tied up, glaring at me with slightly flushed cheeks.
I was so taken aback by her beauty that I couldn’t find any words to say.
“W-what… is there something wrong with my outfit?”
Kashiwagi-san asked, looking nervous as she observed my reaction.
“Uh, well… Kashiwagi-san.”
I tried to say something, but she stopped me.
“Wait a minute!”
Kashiwagi-san then took a deep breath.
“This is the first time I’ve dressed like this. And… if you say something too harsh, I’ll feel really depressed. So could you please choose your words carefully?”
“Choose my words carefully?”
I repeated her words and tried to think of words that could express Kashiwagi-san’s beauty better.
I was desperately trying to think of something.
“Well, um… let’s say I invented a machine that could create food from it…”
Perplexed, Kashiwagi tilted her head in confusion.
Even her confused expression was adorable beyond words.
“But, because of Kashiwagi-san, now we need a machine that can reduce the excessive amount of food.”
“I didn’t say ‘beat around the bush’,”
Kashiwagi-san replied, still looking puzzled.
“So what are you trying to say?”
“Kashiwagi-san, you’re looking so pretty.”
I said, causing her to immediately turn away.
Perhaps she didn’t like it?
“Thank you. You’re looking… cool too,” she replied, stuttering a bit.
“Haha, thank you. I’m sorry I’m not dressed as nicely as usual,” I replied, feeling a bit awkward about making her say such a difficult thing.
“I’ll lead the way, so follow me. I know the way better,” Kashiwagi said, turning to face me.
“Thank you. Let’s be careful as we walk,” I replied, wishing I could walk beside her but content to simply watch her from behind.
I arrived at South Baden station without ever seeing Kashiwagi’s face, but once we were there, she finally turned to me and said,
“Okay… we’re good now.”
We bought our tickets together, and Kashiwagi handed me mine.
“Here’s your ticket.”
“Ahaha, it seems like I’ll have to have Kashiwagi-san cover all the expenses again. My debt keeps getting bigger and bigger…”
“You don’t need to pay me back.”
“That’s not okay! You need to be responsible with your money! Kashiwagi-san is too careless with finances. I keep track of every penny, you know!”
After that I got on the train with Kashiwagi-san, who seemed to have poor management skills when it comes to her own expenses.
Then, we headed straight to Santaña, the venue for the festival.
