With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 87- Arrived
“Are you alright, Yuki-sama?” After Maya and Yuki reached outside the venue where the Celebration ceremony was being held, Maya couldn’t help asking her partner.
They both looked dazzling together. They complimented each other quite well. Apart from their beauty their supernatural strength and the experience they have gained recently after going through numerous trials have helped them grow mentally as well.
And for someone like Yuki who has been aimed as the main target of animosity by those hired goons, his mental fortitude has strengthened several folds compared to his previous, weak, and emotional self.
Yuki was prepared to face those people whom he once regarded as his family and was abandoned by. Those people who share the same blood as him but considered Yuki to be unworthy of carrying that blood.
Those people disowned Yuki and forgot about his existence for nearly eight years.
Naturally, facing them again was a challenge, however,
“I am fine, Maya. If I can’t face such a trivial challenge like facing my ex-family then how am I going to devour this clan?”
Maya looked worried since she knew he was trying to look strong, but she didn’t point it out for fear of making him disheartened. Rather, she held his hand firmly and decided to support her Lord as much as she could.
“Then, let’s go.”
Yuki hooked his arm with hers before they strode on the red carpet—leading them to their destination.

[Inside the Hall]
[A few minutes ago]
Several small and big groups have formed around the venue of those people who were closely associated with or wanted to become.
The patriarchs of three out of four great clans of Japan had already arrived and were at the center of three different groups as they awaited the patriarch of the Kurokawa clan. The second son of the said clan was present but the main focus of the party would always be the legendary swordsman—Kurokawa Ryouya.
However, today many gazes awaited the arrival of a young man belonging to the same clan as the Sword Saint. The center of most rumors these days—Shirazawa Yuki.
“Patriarch Karuizawa, I heard your daughter would be arriving with Yuki-kun. Is that true?” There were not many people who could ask Hotarou such a personal question about his daughter—which signifies the relationship between Hotarou and the man who asked the question to be quite close.
“As you heard, my daughter is in her rebellious phase. She just doesn’t listen to her father anymore and has decided to choose her lover over her family.” Being transparent and simple-minded as ever, Hotarou doesn’t hide the fact that Maya has abandoned her family to be with the person she adores.
“Then, Patriarch, are you willing to let her marry a commoner like Yuki-kun?” Another person asked—this time it was a woman with whom Hotarou had aligned as a party in the past and fought many battles.
“Things haven’t escalated to that point yet…but well, if that’s what Maya wants and if Yuki proves to be a worthy son-in-law then why should I stop them?”
This statement created a silent uproar amongst the audience who came seeking favor or form connection with the Karuizawa clan.
The fact that Hotarou’s eldest daughter was still not engaged allowed many big clans and business giants to join this event in the greed of joining their names with the Karuizawa. Amongst those families was the Willson family as well.

“You heard that, Dad? Didn’t I tell you that it’s futile coming here?” At a different corner where the statement that Hotarou just voiced has reached, a young blond man stood along with his father and sister.
Raymond Willson has been involved with the Karuizawa family through business for a few months now—solely because of his son’s infatuation with the Karuizawa Maya.
Today, in this event, Raymond intended to forward his proposal to Hotarou relating to the marriage engagement between the two children.
Raymond’s name is not only prominent in Japan but in the United Kingdom as well. His total net worth and his influence on the globe could not be regarded as small. Raymond Willson’s presence in the party was as important as any other clan head of the four great clans. However, the way Raymond has been invested in talking to his children alone signifies how fond he is of them.
Hearing Ryan’s defeated statement, Raymond frowned as he told his son, “For someone so passionate about that girl, you sure don’t seem much motivated now. Are sure you want to give up?”
“Then what do you suggest, Dad? Just snatch someone else’s girl when her father has already half-approved of their relationship?”
“That’s it, Hotarou-san has only ‘half-approved’ of this relationship. If you prove yourself to be better than Yuki-”
“Dad, he lost to Yuki-kun, you know.” Suddenly, cold water was poured on the enthusiasm of the older one as Anna reminded him.
Ryan glared at his sister before spatting, “Says the one who got utterly destroyed by Maya.”
Anna was unaffected by the taunt as she replied, “At least I fought with my everything and accepted my defeat without making any excuses. On the other hand, I wonder who was the one who got cocky in the battle, thinking that their opponent is weak—only to get destroyed by them?”
“You!”
Raymond sighed seeing the ever-lively relationship of his two children.

[In a different corner]
Amidst the group of several young men and women, stood a handsome young man with dark green hair and a confident aura extruding him.
He is the second son of the Kurokawa clan and the most probable successor of the throne—Kurokawa Misaki. He is two years younger than Yuki and until Yuki was not disowned, Misaki’s foolish and full-of-himself behavior didn’t allow him to be in the race for successorship.
However now, Misaki has changed over time, and being the leading heir he has developed his skills enough to be regarded as an ideal Patriarch in the future.
“Misaki-sama, did you hear Karuizawa Patriarch’s statement? Regarding Karuizawa Maya’s relationship?”
One of the girls in the group who was also Misaki’s classmate asked with a worried expression on her face.
Misaki has expertly hid his inner turmoil ever since he heard that his beloved brother is coming here with Misaki’s possible fiancé. However, hearing his friend asking that question nearly made him lose his cool.
“Do you think that stupid brother of mine would be ever able to impress Karuizawa Hotarou-sama? Although he has reached the Tower through some underhanded method, deceiving the eyes of Karuizawa Hotaoru-sama is nearly impossible.”
In Misaki’s eyes, Yuki was the same useless and letdown as he was in the past.
Misaki was promised to have Maya as his fiancé by his parents as such, these small rumors surrounding Yuki and Maya’s relationship were temporary, he deemed.
How strong Yuki becomes or whatever feat he achieves, in the end, he is a social outcast and someone who was abandoned by his parents. If not physically then Misaki knew various ways to destroy Yuki mentally.
‘I wonder how he will react when today I get announced as the successor for the throne…’ Misaki grinned as he lifted the cup of his juice….only to let it slip down his lips in shock as he saw the pair who just walked in the venue hall.
It was not only Misaki who looked at the two with their jaws slacked, nearly everyone had their eyes on the pair.
It felt like every mouth that was chatting with their company halted at that moment as they witnessed the beautiful couple walking with short strides.
The girl looked beautiful while the man seemed nothing but prince charming. Together they complimented each other in such a significant way, that tearing them apart felt like a sin worthy of a thousand years of punishment in hell.
However, what further elevated the shock of the people in the hall was the person who soon accompanied the two with a soft smile on his face.
It was the head of the Kurokawa clan—Kurokawa Ryouya.
