With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 69- Don\'t be so stiff
The incident that transpired this afternoon was known by six people excluding Yuki and Maya.
It was Kazuya and the five nurses on duty who knew the state in which Yuki was brought in and also, the miraculous recovery he showed.
His comeback aside, Kazuya couldn’t have allowed the news to travel. The fact that a certain ‘green-eyes’ individual, who is well-versed in mental interference magic, actually assaulted a first-year student to the brink of his death, would cause an uproar.
It wasn’t only Kazuya who could easily guess the individual involved in this incident, as such, he chose to erase the memories of all the nurses at once, and also told Yuki and Maya to keep a tight-lipped on this matter. Well, he could only request the two youngsters, since pushing Yuki any more than would prove to be counterproductive.
At primary, Kazuya’s concern remained to discern the motive behind this assault. And sadly, aside from gaining information from Yuki, in exchange for teaching him some skills, Kazuya had no other option.
‘I wish I could sometimes act rashly and think less…’ Thinking about a certain teenager, Kazuya just felt for a moment to have a word with him…however, he sobered up soon enough and denied his impulsive self.
He would wait rather than face ‘him’, based on groundless accusations.

There was still some time before Yuki would need to return to his dorm—if he didn’t want to raise any suspicion.
The fact that he received approval for absence from his homeroom teacher relays the authority, Professor Kazuya holds.
Now sitting in the infirmary, Yuki fondly held Maya’s hand as he asked her, “You haven’t informed Shio, right?”
In that state, my actions were only limited to staying by your side, Yuki-sama—Maya wanted to relay, but in the end, she just shook her head.
“Please don’t tell her or Nee-san about this incident in the future as well, Maya. I have already tormented you a lot by putting myself in that danger.”
Maya didn’t answer instantly; her bond with Shio being a reason for the delay. However, again, there was nothing that could be above her Lord’s command.
While Maya didn’t want to hide things about Yuki from Shio, she nodded nevertheless.
“Yuki-sama…why did Professor Kazuya was so terrified after reading your mind?” Maya was still frowning about the reaction Kazuya gave out, once he entered Yuki’s mindscape.
While, in general, Maya would have prevented anyone from prying inside her Lord’s memories, at that time she was ready to rely on any method to see Yuki alive.
Yuki frowned slightly since he was unaware of such a thing, as he responded in an uncertain tone, “I am not actually sure what he saw in there apart from my broken mental barriers. Although I am uncertain of the source, I feel something protected my memories from the prying eyes of the assaulter.”
Yuki dreaded the thought of what would have happened if that person had seen those memories where he was getting blessed by the Goddess.
‘I need to attain some mental fortification spells, as soon as possible…’ With those thoughts, Yuki took his leave from the infirmary with Maya beside him.

Although Maya insisted that Yuki return dorm to rest, Yuki assured her that his healing attribute was absolute, and that’s why he didn’t need to rest immediately.
Given the person for whom Yuki was exerting himself so much, Maya couldn’t keep pestering him for long before she yielded, only after getting his permission to accompany him.
“You know, you don’t need to be so upright with me, right? I mean, be more yourself Maya.” Seeing how Maya takes Yuki’s permission even for such trivial things, Yuki wryly smiled
In response, Maya didn’t say anything. While she understands that in the current generation, people treat their lovers like their friends, she still hasn’t modernized enough to be that frank with the person she so admires.
Finding reluctance in her eyes, Yuki gently grabbed her hand before relaying, “Don’t worry; I will love Maya regardless.”
“!!!”
Blood rushed to her face as she barely kept her posture and ducked her head in embarrassment.
In a weak, feeble voice, soon Yuki heard her response,
“…m-me too…”
Yuki barely held himself from pulling the girl in his arms and hugging her tightly—that much adorable she seemed just now. However, considering how they were near their destination already, Yuki restrained himself.
“Ah, Yuki. I was about to call you.” Just near the entrance of the cafeteria, Yuki met his sister, who was wearing the cafeteria staff uniform—a black shirt tucked into black formal trousers.
“You look great, Nee-san.” With his brows elevated slightly, Yuki complimented the new style Amaye had adopted, with her hair now tied in a bun.
Amaye smiled sweetly at her brother before she extended her thanks.
Maya secretly scrunched her brows and looked at Amaye from up to down; assessing what could appease her Lord and also, feeling a little…just a little bit jealous.
‘I have never worn anything until now to impress my Lord…’ Another field where Maya was a lot behind Shio and Amaye.
The trio decided to head inside rather than crowd the entrance.
“This job is rather easier than my previous one as a barista. And also, the working hours are flexible with a monthly clearance of three days of paid leave. Even the room allotted for me alone is quite spacious, which I surely didn’t expect. ”
Yuki was relieved to hear the details, which seemed to be convenient enough for his sister to work here comfortably. He was anxious that because of his insecurities, his sister might need to face a tough job. But it seemed, his concerns were uncalled for.
“That’s great. But still, if you don’t feel comfortable Nee-san please talk to me about it, alright?” Hearing her brother’s overly concerned words, Amaye nodded honestly.
Soon after Amaye asked Yuki to buy her something cold and soothing to drink, so he got up to buy smoothies for the three.
Maya was silently sitting opposite the older one; unsure what she should say to initiate the conversation.
However, it was Amaye who seemed eager to ask Maya something, which signifies why she suddenly sent her brother away,
“Maya…something happened with you two, right? Please tell me what happened.”
“…” Compared to this lady, Mays was still far behind when it came to her observation skills.
‘Is there really something I am good at?’
