With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 68- Negotiation?
Maya could trace mana and based on that, she could teleport way across the campus to keep following her Lord.
She was by no means, fast enough to sprint at his pace. She could only rely on her magic to keep track of her Lord. Since she hadn’t registered the mana of the person, her Lord was following, she could not just teleport right before the white-clothed person.
‘That person is responsible for Dungeon summoning…’ As absurd as it sounds, it was a fact that her Lord had witnessed someone being involved in the invocation of Gate.
Regardless, she was just pursuing to keep her Lord safe…and…
“Yuki-sama?!” Just for a moment, her eyes drifted from Yuki, and the next instance when she leaped through the portal, her Lord was kneeling on the ground motionlessly.
She dashed toward him, before crouching down and checking on him.
Her eyes widened upon witnessing his entirely upturned eyes and slightly parted lips. His body was turning cold as well, even though there wasn’t any sign of external injury.
“Yuki-sama…please wake up!” She shook his body without reservations; trying to wake up the person by whichever means possible.
Her eyes began to cloud with tears as she felt his pulse weakening and even after a lot of shaking and hitting him on the chest, Yuki wasn’t replying at all.
‘What should I do…WHAT SHOULD I DO?!’ Maya bit her lips in pure helplessness because of the uncertainty of the situation.
She looked around but no one could be regarded as the culprit of his worsening state.
In the end, her limited conscience told her to teleport her Lord to the infirmary. As such, she did so.
…only to be told,
“Shirazawa-kun is dead.” As the blue-haired administrator, Kazuya arrived at the infirmary by the distress call of the nurse, he also declared the same words, which stung Maya more than anything.
Her eyes were spread wide, her mouth parted and her mind fell into numbness by the news. The complexion of her face was akin to a sheet as she fell to her knees; having lost all her strength.
Kazuya didn’t pay attention to Maya rather he loosened his tie, and told the others to make some space before putting his left leg on the bed; beside Yuki.
Folding his sleeves, he closed his eyes and pressed his middle and index finger against Yuki’s forehead.
The steps involved in this skill were to first inspect the target mind and second, provide a condensed jolt of mana, to re-activate the brain.
In current circumstances, Kazuya could only think of this option…however,
“How is his brain still working?!” Hearing Kazuya’s exclaim, Maya seemed to have regained her vitality as she suddenly teleported right beside the bed and looked intently at her Lord.
“C-Can he survive?” Her concern persisted even after hearing such great news. After all, it would mean nothing if something were to happen to her Lord.
Kazuya frowned slightly upon sensing something before he abruptly jumped away from the bed, startling Maya and the nurses in the process.
“Step away! It can turn dangerous.” Hearing his call, the school staff immediately stepped aside except Maya, who remained by her Lord’s side—holding his hand in the hope that even in exchange for her life, her Lord gets to live.
Suddenly, Yuki’s body began to burn with golden luminescence. His hair began to levitate and his vitality seemed to be returning. The pale shade of his skin regained its natural redness as Yuki slowly parted his eyes to reveal his blood-red eyes.
The expression on everyone’s face describes how absurd and unexpected this turn of events was. Some moments ago, the person whom the doctors and the Professor declared dead…was now healthy enough to straighten his back and hug the girl beside him.
Maya, the same girl aforementioned, felt her mind finally piecing together to realize the fact that her Lord was alive and currently embracing her.
Stream of tears trailed down her cheeks as she tightly held the hem of his shirt, with her eyes closed. She wasn’t able to mutter anything regarding how happy she was, but the sound of her sobbing told Yuki how worried he made her.
“I am back.” Whispering tenderly, he didn’t hear her response. But the fact she was in his arms must be enough to signify what he spoke.

It took some minutes but Yuki was able to calm Maya; enough for her to blush in embarrassment upon self-reflection as she stood beside Yuki.
Kazuya was still present in the infirmary but because of other patients, the nurses didn’t have the leisure to hear Yuki’s justification for his sudden revival.
In the field of medical science, this could prove to be a development near a miracle. Not even the advancement of science with the addition of magic can bring a dead man back to life—elevating the importance of hearing Yuki’s response even more.
However, Yuki had no intention of sharing his ‘Revival’ skill with anyone other than whom he trusted. And as of now, there were only three.
Yuki had already cast a noise isolation barrier, as he gestured to the older one to begin with his Q&A round.
“So student Shirazawa, before anything about your miraculous comeback, I would like to know the cause of your injury.”
This was something in which Maya was also interested…however, her frown was greatly more severe than the one Kazuya wore.
Upon closer inspection, anyone could discern how barely she was suppressing her murderous intent toward the sinner who dared hurt her Lord.
Yuki softly held Maya’s hand, to comfort her before he responded, “I am unaware of their identity…but that person had green eyes and exceptional control over Mental Interference magic.”
Hearing Yuki’s statement, Maya recalled all her classmates, specifically that blond third-ranked student and his lackeys. However, none of them seemed capable enough to harm her Lord, nor was there any registered student with Mental Interference Magic in their class, as well.
As for Kazuya, then his frown signified that he knew something about this matter and had a specific name(s) in mind that could be regarded as being in the bracket of suspicion.
However, the dilemma remained; why would ‘he’ target Yuki?
“Shirazawa Yuki…particularly what you saw that required your and Karuizawa-kun’s immediate attention? Karuizawa-kun even breached the orders of her teacher, which seems entirely out of order. ”
Yuki narrowed his gaze before counter-asking, “Sorry professor…but until I don’t find the person who attacked me, I can’t answer you. ”
Yuki was aware that Kazuya was trying to skim over the core matter of concern. Despite knowing the name of the culprit, Kazuya deliberately chose to not disclose it; signifying how important that entity must be.
Yuki didn’t have much issue confiding the information about those white-clothed beings, who possibly summoned the dungeons—considering how even Yuki was uncertain about this piece of information. However, he chose to have barter rather than offering free information.
Kazuya clenched his jaw, a clear sign of frustration but didn’t say anything; seemingly intending to resort to forceful methods.
However, Yuki seized the opportunity and suggested, “How about…you teach me some basic mental resistance magic that comes under the Barrier type, and in return, I tell you everything about ‘them’?”
Yuki deliberately made the topic a little too mysterious to garner the older one’s interest and as he thought…
“I accept.”
…it worked.
