With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 67- Another trap?
The moment the Dungeon summoned just right across the training field, Yuki’s mind flashed that day when he came across a peculiar redhead and got to know something bizarre that day.
Although it wasn’t impossible for a Gate to erupt in the Tower, but still, it was still the second time Yuki was facing it from this close; as such, he searched nearby. And as he thought, there was another white-clothed person just some meters apart from where the Gate emerged.
Same white clothes with long sleeves and a hood to hide their face. A particular locket was being held in their clutch while the whole person seemed to be blending into the surroundings. If not for Yuki, particularly looking for a person with those features, he also might have succumbed to the dazzling flashes of the Dungeon, and totally missed the possible summoner.
Without a second thought, Yuki launched toward the person—who, upon realizing his intent, began to flee as well.
‘The fuck is that?!’ Yuki couldn’t believe his eyes at what he was witnessing
The white-clothed individual wasn’t just sprinting at an insane pace, but every thirty meters, they disappeared in a whirlpool, only to appear far ahead of their initial spot.
The magic formation and activation never caught his eyes and the fluidity with which the person was channeling their mana and performing the same spell again and again, left no magic residual at all.
“WAIT!” It was a futile attempt for Yuki to shout out for the person he was chasing, and as he thought, the said person nearly disappeared, the moment he stopped pursuing.
“Khuk!” Yuki clutched his chest as suddenly, an overwhelming sensation welled up his chest as Yuki barely held himself from falling to his knees.
His senses were getting hindered by something he couldn’t discern. His heart was leaping in beats and if something was keeping Yuki still alive in this heavy surrounding, he suddenly found himself in, then it was sheer will to not give up.
“W-W-Who’s there?!” Yuki called out, trying to ignore the gut-wrenching pain he was feeling all over his body.
He didn’t have the luxury to check his surroundings but he was sure that there was no one visible around him at the moment.
The familiar sensation of powerlessness and isolation was nothing new to Yuki. Despite the tempting urge to close his eyes and grant his consciousness a moment of respite, he resisted, determined not to succumb to the overwhelming emotions.
Abruptly, a pair of green eyes materialized directly in front of his own. Yuki found himself confronted by nothing but those intense green orbs, devoid of any discernible emotions.
‘Is it a physical wide area attack? But how could something affect me with my barriers deployed?’ Yuki wasn’t a fool to allow himself to remain unguarded any moment in this tower or anywhere else—now that he had made enemies with some prominent people.
However, none of those barriers even came into play, even though Yuki was suffering every moment of his life at the moment.
[Strange.]
A voice, akin to none that he had heard until now, echoed across his mind, and Yuki was sure that it belonged to those eyes staring at him.
Yuki’s bones trembled and vision turned dark, however, he could somehow gaze at those eyes, now narrowing a bit.
[Why don’t you kneel like others?]
The voice asked, but not like Yuki had the opportunity for any comeback in his current situation.
All he did was to conjure as many barriers as he could, but nothing seemed to be working at all!
[Kneel.]
A simple word directed from those eyes, yet the force behind those syllables was enough to break Yuki’s legs entirely and make him fall face flat on the ground.
This was it. He could no longer withstand this sensation.
If something Yuki would surely remember before fainting then it would be the parting words, those eyes bestowed.
[Limit your steps, or I won’t limit myself the next time…]

Far from the place where Yuki collapsed, the figure of several white uniform-wearing individuals could be seen, currently surrounding a specific young man in his early teens.
The young man had an air about him that made everyone nervous around him, but no one dared to move from their spot and continued to be on guard around him.
After several minutes, the young man rose to his feet, making the others straighten their back in high alert as well.
However, the said young boy looked at no one else but a particular girl who was holding a pendant in her hand and wearing a similar white robe, before he directed his warning,
“I will not tolerate another blunder.”
The chilly voice of the youngest among them all made everyone flinch and the person, to whom those words were directed, sweated profusely under her hood.
With his green eyes flashing and narrowing momentarily, the young man turned away and disappeared.

[At First Floor Infirmary]
“Nurse!” The loud call of none other than the honor student of the first year drew several eyes in her direction.
The school nurse closest to Maya heeded the call before her eyes drew toward the boy, Maya was holding over her back.
“Quickly! Bring him here!” The nurse was experienced enough to not ask any further questions and gestured for Maya to lay the patient on the nearest bed.
Maya slowly lowered Yuki from her back, and with the help of the nurse, she put Yuki’s motionless body on the bed.
The nurse quickly wore her gloves, and checked Yuki’s eyes which were entirely upturned.
She closely looked for any external injury but she found nothing…however, just as she pulled her stethoscope to check his heartbeat, the nurse’s expression visibly shifted; making Maya even more anxious than she already was.
Turning toward the blond, the nurse informed,
“…his heart is no longer functioning.”
