With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 64- Dead?
So what happened with Ryan in these forty-eight hours, after his match with Yuki?
It was a fact that Ryan faced an insulting and utter defeat against Yuki; even though he was dominating the field for the initial few minutes.
Then something snapped and Yuki jumped on offense. Ryan knew that he triggered something that just broke all of Yuki’s restraints and he went for a full-blown battle.
And Ryan has no hesitation in accepting, that he was not prepared for it.
However, if only Yuki had defeated him using his nonsensical physical prowess and versatile barriers, then Ryan wouldn’t have asked anything of the boy and accepted his defeat like a warrior.
However, in the last attack, Yuki utilized to conclude the battle was unsettling.
Ryan died with that assault. And he knows that very well.
It was so instantaneous and brutal that in that last moment of his life, he was only able to see the face of his mother, while unable to call out to her. His life didn’t flash across his eyes but he just wanted to meet his mother once again, if he really was going to die.
However, to his utmost shock, Ryan did not die two days ago. More like, it felt, he was reborn through some spells. However, his medical report suggested otherwise.
He didn’t talk about it to anyone, since he knew, everyone would think that he was traumatized. Surely, his parents would have believed his words, but he didn’t want them to get involved in this.
He had to find out everything on his own.
“So…what do you wanna ask?” Seeing the nonchalant behavior of the silver head, Ryan for a moment, wondered whether Yuki really had killed him.
However, not like his behavior could change the fact.
“Why are you hiding about your attributes? And why haven’t you confessed your crime of killing me back then?”
Ryan had his keen eyes trained on the boy, and when he brought up the topic of confession, he was expecting Yuki to at least flinch.
However, Yuki remained indifferent about it, and with a raise of his brows, asked, “If you died, then how come I can still see you?”
“You think this is funny?”
“Ask yourself.”
The small banter soon came to a halt as Ryan realized how Yuki was not going to open his mouth regarding this matter.
A smirk lifted the edge of lips, as Ryan pressed with another method, “You know…once I contact my father, then regardless you have killed me or not, you will become history in no time.”
Ryan already envisioned this situation and as such he prepared his plan B, just in case. He needed to know the secrets, Yuki was hiding.
Initially, it was just a case of late reawakening, however now he has hinted at something more than the face value. Those flames that Ryan saw in his last moments weren’t just his delusion.
In response, Yuki looked for anything but terrified of the fact that Ryan was threatening to involve his family in the matter.
It was the Willson family, no less, so Ryan had a valid reason to hold expectations.
However, “Why aren’t you doing it, then? Why warn, just go for it, no?”
For once, Ryan thought that Yuki would bring his own family into the conversation to show that he wasn’t weak. Secondly, Ryan expected Yuki to behave a little rudely, now that Ryan had dropped the polite facade.
However, in just his casual tone, Yuki suggested that Ryan go on and inform his father.
“Ah, it’s time.” Seeing the homeroom teacher approaching, Yuki decided to end the conversation with some bidding words.
“I think you need to take some rest, Ryan. You look shaken up.”
Ryan clenched his fist but didn’t say anything in retaliation. It wasn’t the time.

Back in class, Yuki just summarized the conversation he had with Ryan to Maya; making her a little anxious.
She was aware of the authority that the Willson family carried, even though they weren’t native. However, if there was relief in this situation, then it was the approach of the Kurokawa family.
“If push comes to shove, I wouldn’t hesitate using my clan as my shield.” Yuki’s statement made Maya a little calm.
“Alright class, I have big news.” As the hometown began, the green-haired Professor wrote something on the board, which spelled,
[The Champion’s Oath]
Reading the title, many began to murmur, which was surprising, considering how disciplined these students always remain. Even Maya seemed a little surprised to see those words on the board.
However, before Yuki could have asked her, the teacher began,
“Those who know and those who don’t, please listen to me, carefully. ” As she tapped on the central terminal, the projection of three emblems erected just in front of her.
One of those emblems belonged to the Tower and the other two were unrecognisable for Yuki.
“The Saint Carter School and the Hunter Academy of Erudite.”
Maya filled in the information since she knew her Lord was unaware of the other two schools.
Yuki gave her a thankful nod, making Maya smile as they both once again, turned to look at the teacher,
“Every year, the tri-school competition between the three occurs during the first month of the year…which would be a month from now. This competition has an agenda to recognize those students who have the potential to internationally represent our country, or become the next National Level hunter. Surely, for such opportunities, a student has to be nothing short of extraordinary so they can participate in this competition, and show their worth.”
Once Maki finished, suddenly Kuroi raised her hand and asked, “Are only the floor one student allowed, Professor?”
If that was true then the participants were already on the radar. The top-ranking students would be the ones sent by the Tower to extract the best results.
However,
“This competition is based on age limit. That means anyone under the age of sixteen can participate…which further explains, how you all might have to face your Senpai as well~”
Hearing that piece of information, Yuki was taken aback.
This tower doesn’t work based on exams, but talent. That means, an eighteen-year-old could be a resident of floor two, and a sixteen-year-old could be currently studying on the eighth floor. Everything was based on one’s potential after all.
‘Is it finally the time for hardcore training arc?’
