With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 63- No more complications...
Yuki was…slightly underestimating Maya.
He requested her to help him train, by using her teleportation magic and targeting a single dagger at Yuki.
The exercise required Yuki to solely depend on his instincts to evade the dagger appearing out of nowhere, and from random spots. It could be either from the top of his head or charging at his blind spot. Sometimes from behind and sometimes, the dagger advanced from the front.
In this exercise, Yuki didn’t have the luxury to either run around or visibly identify the assault before evading it. He has to remain inside a circle and save himself from getting injured.
Although he could sense that Maya was deliberately not targeting his vital organs, it didn’t mean she was holding back.
Her precise way of utilizing mana to cast spells and keep the dagger going, was tremendous. The speed of her chanting several teleportation circles around him, and maintaining the pace was something one could only expect from a top-ranked student like Maya.
“Hup!!” Jumping from his spot perpendicularly, Yuki dodged the dagger which was about to graze his shin, but just as he was about to land, he sensed the dagger advancing from behind.
Now in mid-air, he had not many options, so he tried tilting his body forward…only to find the weapon once again disappearing, once it passed by his mid back, and appeared right above Yuki.
“Khuk!” The sound of flesh being stabbed, resonated as Yuki dropped to his knee.
The tail end of the back of his neck was being pierced by the blade, as fresh new blood crashed against the ground.
It was then when suddenly someone barged in,
“YUKI-KUN?!”
Yuki panicked, before he turned his head toward the entrance…only to find a pale Shio standing there with a frightened expression marring her face.
Before he could have said anything, Maya appeared in between the two while facing Yuki and crouched down at his eye level,
“Yuki-sama…why…why are you making me do this….” Tears welled up her eyes as the blond girl asked in a sobbing tone. She was already torturing herself by hurting her Yuki-sama with those many scratches and cuts…and now…she ended up stabbing him.
Seeing his two lovers being so troubled, Yuki sighed.
‘I guess I need to find a new and uncaring training partner…’ Some of the things are better not done with someone who loves you—Yuki realized that day.

[Next Day]
Early in the morning, someone came to take Amaye to the management office where she would be given her role in the cafe and appropriate training.
Yuki wanted to tag along since his sister was naturally a little nervous, but his appeal was rejected in the name of his classes which were about to begin in an hour.
Before leaving Yuki told his sister to call him any time she wanted, without reservation, to which Amaye smiled and assured him.
Don’t worry, Yu-kun. I will take care of myself—was what she said before bidding her farewell.
She would be allotted her own room today, but Yuki have told her, that she could stay with him for the time being. Although last night, was a little hassle, they somehow managed to sleep on the bed. However, if the problem persisted, Yuki would surely buy a futon.
Now, back to the present. Yuki was walking side by side with Maya as they strolled leisurely toward the main building where their first class would begin in fifteen minutes.
The weather inside the Tower was regulated by magic so there was no need to wear heavy jackets or coats. Just a light dark-blue half sweater worn over a white shirt and the same dark blue formal trousers was enough for winter apparel.
Similarly, Maya had a dark blue blazer with the school emblem on the left breast pocket, worn over a white shirt and a dark blue skirt that reached her mid-thighs. Some girls like to alter it according to their fashion, but Maya never bothered going out of her way to look something extra.
Breaking the silence, Maya asked in a hesitant voice,
“Yuki-sama…isn’t it a little strange there still hasn’t been any news from Ryan’s side?” It’s been two days since that incident when Yuki nearly killed his fellow classmate, yet there haven’t been any rumors spreading around at all.
Maya’s concern was met by a complicated frown from Yuki as he replied in a heavy tone, “I have a hunch, which I hope to not be true. I just don’t want the situation to go any worse.”
Yuki has a suspicion that the Willson family might intervene once they get a confession from Ryan. And surely, having such big personalities involved in this case, especially when Yuki would be showing his face during the annual meeting around Christmas, would complicate the matter for him, a lot.
Maya didn’t say anything after that, since she didn’t have any solution to this case at all. Despite her position as the leading heiress of the Karuizawa clan, she didn’t have any authority to back Yuki at all.
‘Is there really not anything I can do for him…’

The atmosphere of the class was serene as ever, with none of the students behaving in any manner that could be regarded as ’embarrassing’ from a nobility’s perception.
Maya and Yuki’s arrival only gained glances from the students, but thankfully, the exaggerated reaction that they received two days ago, was no longer on display.
People have begun accepting the fact that Yuki and Maya were together. If not in the class, then Maya going in and out of Yuki’s cottage was enough to back the rumor.
The duo made their way toward the back of the class when a particular student jumped to stand in front of them. Or to be precise, in front of Yuki.
The atmosphere of class tensed, as Ryan stood just inches apart from Yuki with a grim expression on his face. Yuki also didn’t back away, and remained still at his spot.
“Ryan…” Akisu, Ryan’s friend tried to pull the blond away but Ryan refused to budge from his position.
The cold silence between the two was broken when Ryan demanded, “I need to talk to you. Follow me.”
Without looking back, Ryan walked past the two and made his way outside the class.
Once he was gone, Yuki also turned to follow…only to be stopped by Maya’s hold on his hand.
Looking back at her worried visage, Yuki flashed a comforting smile, before assuring her,
“Don’t worry, I will wrap this up in no time.”
