With great powers, comes a great harem!

[Yuki’s POV: ]

I was before the dungeon site where the rift was created. There were more than eighteen hunters currently taking care of the monsters from the second dungeon which didn’t summon much longer than three hours.

Because the mana was overworking in those nerves of monsters, they were stronger than they should have, causing extra effort for the backup teams as they tried to keep the fight in limited jurisdiction since on such short notice the town wasn’t evacuated entirely.

There were seven wolves of the size of three meters and wearing raven fur over their bodies. The dark violet shade of eyes fiercely darted around to observe their prey and those sharp fangs were working excellently to make me rethink my course of action.

‘No… I’ve got to do this… ”

Realizing how I was delaying needlessly, I slapped both my cheeks and pulled myself out of my alarming dread. This was the first time I was going to enter a dungeon so naturally I would be a little scared…well, a lot actually.

I have been trained, I have received more than enough skills and each one of them has the potential to surpass S-rank. The person stuck in the dungeon is not someone I want to lose, so was there anything to contemplate?

I exhaled audibly before I raced toward the gates.

“Divine Shroud. ”

I spelled out the barrier I need to cover myself in. This would not only prove to be resistant to a limited amount of pressure but also help me tolerate the excessively concentrated mana. Thankfully, my mana reserve has gone tremendously higher than before to allow me to cast my barrier both on myself and around Nee-san, back at home.

Since there was chaos ensued around the site I was able to sneak between the mess and make my way to the inner circle of the fight.

“Gluttony! ”

I didn’t inspect whether I was getting eyed since all around me no one was standing idle. The smog from my hand erupted at a violent pace, making even me a little startled before it engulfed the fallen wolf in a big bite.

It didn’t take long for the skill to provide what I desired as suddenly I felt an add-on in my arsenal. My body was in far better condition and my senses worked twice efficiently than before. My voice box was a little itchy like it wanted to let out some fierce howl, but I held it for now.

First comes Shio’s safety.

Walking inside the dungeon was not a differentiated feeling from how it feels to walk inside a Mall but that was something to laugh about for a later period.

‘Now where is she… ‘

I squinted my eyes and through my enhanced vision thanks to the wolf I just ate, I saw more than half a kilometer away from the gate, something transpiring.

My eyes caught some human lying lifelessly on the ground and two of them fighting with giant toads somehow and on the verge of failing any minute now. My eyes didn’t linger on them for long before I focused on the brunette girl and began to speed up in her direction.

My speed was faster than before, probably one and a half times. Fortunately, I was able to keep my body in check as I neared the fight.

Thanks to the infinity shroud over me, I was not feeling uncomfortable at all even though the air was visibly thicker than the norm. It was almost like someone has blended aphrodite in the air.

I reached Shio’s side not long after as I heard her mumbling something related to her regret for not being able to confess or something.

“Well, you still have the time… ”

I voice out my words which attracted the attention of people near me including Shio, who gave me a look that she was not able to believe her eyes. Her muscles were paralyzed and in an attempt to speak out loud, she was struggling painfully.

‘Infinity Shroud. ‘

I cast a barrier over her as well, followed by a minor healing spell before I turned toward the advancing monsters who were toying with the remaining hunters.

‘How should I do this…well let’s just follow my instincts… ‘

I lifted my head to look toward the sky before I let go of the itch I was feeling for some time now.

**AWOOOOOOOOOOOOO***

The loud howl resonated heavenly around the dungeon and it was just not any ordinary cry rather it was a battle taunt that worked perfectly to get me targetted by every single toad present on the battlefield.

“Hmmm….this should work. ”

I snatched an abandoned blade lying nearby before I felt the world of swords pouring down my memory lane, teaching me techniques I was not aware of and providing the mastery which gave me the confidence to stand proud in front of more than a dozen monsters.

My skill was working perfectly and to test out how much I have learned there was no better option than to test it out on the actual battlefield.

[Subaru’s POV: ]

Despite not wanting to believe it, those white hairs and that voice couldn’t be of anyone else but Yuki’s.

The dimwit I have been targeting for some months now was actually inside a dungeon? With what? His shitty nappy-changing skill?

It was surely not something I would believe if not for my own eyes providing me with the spectacle of an impossible scenario.

Yuki was not only here in this dungeon rift but he was also fighting with those beasts on equal grounds like he somehow has gained some master scroll. Or maybe he was hiding his skills?

No, that can’t be the case. Then what is his secret? I need to extract that and rip it off for myself. However, for now, it would be best if I act to get myself out of here.

“H-Help… “I raised my hand as I saw Yuki advancing toward me. Since he somehow helped the Shio to resist the overwhelming mana, he can do it for me as well. And once he does it would be no problem burning the shit out of this place.

But against my expectations, Yuki just smirked and ran past me batting not a single eyelid in my direction, like I was some kind of pebble in between his path.

He…he dare ignore me!!

“Yuki you bas-ahk! ”

My voice choked immediately as I suddenly felt burning pain down my leg…

I glanced backward at where Yuki was standing with his tainted sword but it was not the shade of those monsters’ blood rather….

“AAAAAAAAAARGHHHH!! ”

He bisected both of my legs!

He, that loser who was supposed to live on my mercy, has the gall to hurt me?!

“Y-You will pay for this… ”

I was barely able to hold my consciousness from fading but somehow I growled out my words. Once I get out of this place I will…

“Listen now, you daddy’s boy. ”

My hair was pulled to match the eye level of the shithead as I heard the words which soon I would realize were the last thing I would hear before my demise.

“You have played a lot of games with powerless people, right? Now how about you play this last game of life and death? ”

My throat was choked by my blood rendering me from speaking anything in return before Yuki turned my head toward the right which resulted in my eyes to widened in fret.

There were more than thirty toads on their way toward us at a frightening pace!

My scalp went cold, a sense of helplessness spreading over my consciousness and for the first time, death was seemingly nearer than I could have dodged.

Somehow forcing the last remaining of my energy I voiced my urgency.

“P-please save me, Yuki. I will gi-give you everything I have and even o-offer you a job at the guild. Please save me just this once…my mother…she would never be able to tolerate my death…I beg you… ”

There was nothing else I could do rather than plead this guy or I knew I would die today. Regardless of what would happen to this bastard afterward, it was certain that if he doesn’t help me, there would be no tomorrow for me.

I tried to play innocently by bringing up my mother, just the perfect nerve that could affect someone like Yuki, but…

“Hehe~Don’t worry, I would take care of that hotty for you. Now please die~”

Before I could say anything more, I was thrown toward the upcoming stampede. And like that…my life came to an end with the realization that Yuki is actually a womanizer…
