With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 58- Welcome
Shirazawa Amaye was in distress.
Some days ago, her house was nearly destroyed and her life was thrown into peril. If not for the sudden appearance of the S-ranked hunter, Kaede, Amaye might not have made it out alive that day.
But thankfully, the beautiful huntress was kind enough to protect Amaye for the whole night, and the next morning, the elder Shirazawa was sent off to the Tower.
She had a long conversation with Yuki last night and on the call, he revealed that the administrator there heard his plea and allowed Amaye, a resident, in one of the safest establishments in Japan. Amaye wasn’t sure what the job was or in what living conditions she might need to spend her days, but until she could be near her brother, Amaye would no longer need anything else.
Even though it had been just two weeks since he left; Amaye was growing restless and lonely. She has spent most of her life taking care of Yuki, so it was understandable why she was kicked out of her job for being in a daze all day long after Yuki left.
“We are here.” Amaye was broken out of her stupor when she heard the call of the jet boat driver, who transported her from the mainland to the Tower.
“T-Thank you…” Awkwardly thanking the captain and the staff member, she took her bag and boarded off.
Even though she has seen this place before on the internet a lot of times, coming here and gazing at it in person provided a whole different experience.
‘I am going to live here with Yuki-kun…’ The thought made the butterflies go wild in her belly.
“Shirazawa Amaye-san. Please come with me.” All of a sudden, a brown-haired man walked in her direction and picked up her bag before walking toward the tower building.
Amaye was baffled for the first two seconds before she hurriedly followed behind.
“T-Thank you, for your help.” The security guard didn’t reply just gave her a small nod before they walked inside the building.
Amaye had to go through three security layers in which she was completely scanned by the female guard staff and also her belongings were thoroughly assessed. After around twenty minutes, she was given the green flag before Amaye went inside the campus…only to find all her stress and anxiety melting instantly.
“Yuki-kun!” Dropping her bag, Amaye darted toward the familiar person standing not so far away from the entrance with a warm smile.
Yuki wordlessly opened his arms before welcoming his Nee-san.
“Nee-san…” Yuki found his shoulder slumping and his heart calming down. After days of stress and panic, Yuki found solace by being enveloped by the warmth of his family.
Completely discarding how they must be seeming in the eyes of a passerby, the duo remained in the embrace of each other without a single word being shared, yet within those few minutes, they were able to direct their emotions and how much they had missed each other.
After Amaye regained her composure, she detached herself from Yuki before asking, “You are growing hair, Yu-kun?”
Yuki was surprised to see that she noticed right away before he grinned playfully.
Directing her eyes away from her baby brother, Amaye realized that there was someone else beside him as well.
“Shi-chan!” Amaye beamed at the adorable girl who was fidgeting at the side.
“Amaye-nee.” Shio greeted the older one as the two hugged merrily. Shio has always been adored by Amaye, given how lovable the girl is.
“These ribbons look good on you.” A smile bloomed on her face as Amaye complimented the blue and black ribbon with which Shio had braided her hair.
The conversation between the two, long (?) separated friends soon died down before Amaye’s eyes went toward the person standing behind Shio and Yuki.
…and when the older one realized, who the person was, she went frigid instantly.
It didn’t go unnoticed by Maya how Amaye’s demeanor shifted just now, but could she blame anyone for this, except for herself?
Yuki was about to move in between and break the heavy silence when he felt a tug from Maya, making him stop on the track.
Seeing her determined gaze, Yuki nodded and didn’t interfere.
Maya took a deep breath before she finally greeted the person she had hurt intentionally, a lot in the past, “I can’t say that I am sorry for what happened in the past, since merely apologizing wouldn’t be enough…but I hope, Amaye-san, that you would give me a chance to redeem myself.”
Her tone, as usual, remained formal—Amaye noted. However, to think that someone as egoistical and prideful as Maya would be apologizing to her one day…Amaye indeed was quite taken aback. And she could sense that Maya was sincere in her plea, which made Amaye ensure that this girl had changed for good.
Breaking the ice, Amaye stepped forward and took hold of Maya’s hands gently, startling the latter.
“I know we had a difficult past with lots of ups and downs, but there is no harm in starting new. So don’t look so down, Maya-san or my brother would get sad as well.”
Amaye had already heard everything about Maya and her circumstances just a few days ago, and to say that Amaye was shocked would be a huge understatement. But even after that, Amaye doubted whether someone like Maya would have such a drastic change in her behavior, all of a sudden.
However, witnessing, that how changed of a person Maya seemed at the moment, Amaye decided to put away all her past grudges and start anew.
Like hazy weather had cleared out and a blooming spring made its appearance, Maya’s saddened visage soon turned into a merry one, as a soft smile lifted the edges of her lips.
“Hai.”

Yuki first escorted his sister to his dorm room since she would get counseling about her job and get allotted her staff headquarters tomorrow. There were guest rooms available but Yuki opted otherwise.
“It’s so big and nice here…especially the gym room. I bet Yuki-kun spends most of his time there.”
Hearing the elder Shirazawa’s words, Shio and Maya nodded their heads in an instant.
“That’s not like it, Nee-san…” Yuki wanted to retort but seeing his lovers nodding, his voice lowered.
Is he…really a fitness freak?
“I will brew tea for everyone. And the special lemon tea for Amamye-nee.” Hearing Shio’s call, Amaye smiled before thanking her.
Once again, Maya was reminded, of how important culinary skills were.
‘There goes my opportunity…’ Maya was very well aware of her kitchen skill, so she didn’t attempt, in the fret of risking Amaye’s life.
As the three of them settled around the tea table, Yuki was about to ask about her well-being when his older sister took the initiative to inform him about a glaring matter.
“Yuki-kun…I received a call from your father yesterday.”
“!!!”
