With great powers, comes a great harem!

“Not so fast, young lady~” Shio panicked seeing the man wearing the academy staff uniform holding her hand and stopping her from healing Yuki.

There was something with the man’s touch that didn’t interrupt Shio’s spell but completely erased it.

“Let me go! You all have been plotting this, right?! And you! You even poisoned my YUKI-KUN!!” Shio’s hateful glare was directed toward the hospital nurse who currently was sitting nonchalantly on her chair with her left leg draped on the other.

“Well, we all have to take care of our needs and the job of a nurse doesn’t pay enough to afford everything I desire~”

The school nurse spoke in a matter-of-fact tone without a sense of guilt in her tone. Despite being the person responsible for saving lives, that woman was trying to kill a patient. Truly despicable.

Soon all the infirmary staff began to appear from the different corners of the room wearing theatrical masks and surgical tools in hand.

It seems that only the man whom Shio recognized to be the janitor and the nurse have revealed their identity since they already have been doing suspicious stuff since earlier and would probably leave the Academy forever after today.

Shio could only curse herself for not noticing them before. She even didn’t suspect the nurse or the janitor before they showed their true colors. Truly pathetic!

“This one goes with me, right?” The man said while assessing Shio from top to bottom letting his gaze linger on her breast a little longer with a disgusting look in his eyes.

“Make sure you kill her after fucking her. Well, she might die mid-action, given how rough you get.” The nurse said without a sense of remorse to talk about something so disgusting about a girl.

“Haha…well, how curvy this chick is…I might not mind doing it even after she dies as well…hehe~”

“Oof…vile to the core. ”

Shio’s resistance was getting stronger over time as she heard the two bastards talking like she would allow any other man to touch her.

She was trying to push the man away, scratch him, and even bite his knuckles but like the man was made out of steel, nothing worked at all.

‘I need to heal Yuki-kun…’ Shio was prepared to kill herself before she could allow herself to be soiled by the dog. However, before she could end herself, she wanted to at least slow down the poison from spreading inside Yuki.

“TAKE THIS!! ”

“Ouuuuu!!!” The most vital part of a man was targeted by Shio’s kick, as the man let go of Shio and dropped toward the ground while holding his possibly broken balls

However, before Shio could turn to heal Yuki, someone grabbed her from behind at a speed that Shio was unable to trace and locked the girl in a far stronger grip.

Her caramel eyes widened in shock and fear as she saw a sharp scalpel advancing toward her neck by another man who had no desire other than to kill Shio right there and then.

‘Yuki!’ Shio closed her eyes without any strength left to even shout out the name of the person she was going to miss dearly after being killed today but before the scalpel would have grazed past Shio’s neck a black vortex appeared right behind the man and from the vortex, a dainty hand chopped the consciousness out of the man who was about to kill Shio.

“Ghuagg!” The man wasn’t able to bear the pain as he dropped down to the floor with his eyes rolled back and the medical tool dropping out of his grip.

Shio’s shock amplified as she noticed the person who came to her rescue.

“Maya-san…. ”

Maya was risking the hard work she had put behind her acting for the past eight years by deciding to help Yuki and Shio.

After all, the only person who could have heard the preparator of this ambush was Maya and in the first place, the initiative to save Yuki was enough to let her family, how much Maya still cares about her fiancé.

But Maya regrets nothing. After all, her act to be hateful toward Yuki was only because she wanted him to remain safe until Maya becomes stronger and gain more influence over the clan. But would it matter anymore if Yuki gets assassinated and Maya continues to remain indifferent toward it?

Impossible.

The decision was simple to make. If Shio somehow had saved Yuki then Maya wouldn’t have interfered but seeing how clueless and irresponsible the girl was, Maya already knew she would need to make her appearance.

“Don’t come near me or I will break her neck!”The assailant threatened Maya as he took hold of Shio’s head and chin, prepared to snap the girl’s bone any moment.

Maya raised both of her hands which made the masked assailant somewhat less apprehensive but soon Maya flicked her wrist, once again pushing him to the edge.

“Don’t worry. I am just dropping this weapon for your assurance, alright?”

Maya said while showing the dagger she was holding by the end of its handle before she released the weapon, letting the dagger fall freely toward the ground. The assailant felt something was wrong but before he could have noticed how the dagger never hit the surface and why Maya seemed so calm, it was already too late.

*SQUELCH*

The mana-imbued dagger gets heavier when the user wants it to through a portion of mana supplied into the hilt. Maya simply opened a portal right at the spot where the dagger should have hit the ground and the other end of the portal above the assailant.

Creating teleportation gates without a single chant or physical movement with such precision was a feat in itself. And when the chanter was on such a high level, their opponent would always fall on the ground lifelessly, like the man who previously was holding Shio.

*DHAK*

It wasn’t the first time Maya killed someone which signifies why there wasn’t any remorse or disgust in her eyes. She remained completely neutral as she walked toward the timid brunette.

“Collect yourself, woman. You need to heal Yuki-sama.”

Shio, who was shaken up by the turn of events was brought back to her senses by Maya’s rough shake after she grabbed the girl by her shoulder.

“Y-Yeah…you are right… ”

For some reason, the others haven’t attacked the Maya or Shio until now but Maya couldn’t care less since in the end, everyone who was trying to harm Yuki was going to die tonight.

Maya released Shio who was about to move toward Yuki and heal him when suddenly not only Shio but Maya showed some signs suitable for their situation. They both were shocked to see the bed where previously their beloved was laid, was now vacant.

‘Ah… ‘ Then it struck Maya. The other assailants weren’t silently watching them rather they were silenced by someone.
